Description
Claims (33)
- 複合材料から構成されるフランジであって、前記フランジが実質的に三角形の断面を有する湾曲した中空部材を備えており、
前記断面は、実質的に直角三角形を含み、
前記三角形の第1辺は、湾曲して続く前記三角形の第2辺に実質的に垂直であり、
前記三角形の第3辺は、実質的に五角形状の孔を有している、フランジ。 - 前記湾曲した中空部材は、湾曲した外周部を有する閉じた形状が分割されたものとして定義される、請求項1に記載のフランジ。
- 前記分割は、湾曲した外周部を有する閉じた形状の1/4から1/3とされる、請求項2に記載のフランジ。
- 複数の前記湾曲した中空部材は、湾曲した外周部を有する閉じた形状を形成するために組み合せられる、請求項1から3の何れかに記載のフランジ。
- 前記閉じた形状は、円である、請求項4に記載のフランジ。
- 前記閉じた形状は、楕円である、請求項4に記載のフランジ。
- 繊維強化複合材料を含む、請求項1から6の何れかに記載のフランジ。
- 前記繊維強化複合材料は、炭素繊維によるものである、請求項7に記載のフランジ。
- 前記複合材料は、積層されている、請求項7又は8に記載のフランジ。
- 請求項1から9の何れかに記載のフランジを含む複合材料から構成される、ダクト。
- 前記ダクトの断面形状は、湾曲した外周部を有する閉じた形状である、請求項10に記載のダクト。
- 前記ダクトの材料及び前記フランジの材料は、化学的及び熱的に適合性がある、請求項10又は11に記載のダクト。
- 前記ダクトの材料及び前記フランジの材料は、同じ材料である、請求項10又は11に記載のダクト。
- 請求項10から13の何れかに記載のダクトを備えた、航空機。
- 複合材料から構成されるフランジの製造方法であって、
a)複合材料を実質的に三角形の断面を有する湾曲したマンドレルの外側表面に適用するステップと、
b1)前記複合材料を硬化して、実質的に三角形の断面を有する湾曲した中空部材を備えたフランジを生成するステップと、
b2)前記フランジの外表面に固定孔及びアクセスホールを機械加工して設けるステップとを有し、
前記アクセスホールは、前記三角形の断面の斜辺を形成する前記フランジの表面に機械加工された五角形状の孔であり、前記五角形の各辺は、前記フランジを形成する前記複合材料の繊維に沿って配置されている、方法。 - c)前記中空部材から前記マンドレルを除去するステップをさらに有する、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記マンドレルは、解体可能であり、前記マンドレルを除去するステップは、前記マンドレルを解体するステップを有する、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記マンドレルは、実質的に三角形の断面を形成するために組み立てられる2以上の部材からなり、前記2以上の部材は、前記中空部材から除去するために分解される、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記マンドレルは、互いに対して摺動することにより分解される2以上の分割部からなる、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記マンドレルは、組み立てる際に実質的に三角形の断面を有する前記マンドレルを提供するために互いに接合し、前記中空部材から除去するために分離する複数の嵌め合わせ部材からなる、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記マンドレルは、可溶性の材料から作られ、形成された前記中空部材から前記マンドレルを除去するために溶かされる、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 複合材料から構成される構造の製造方法であって、複合材料のフランジを有する複合材料のダクトを提供するステップを有し、前記フランジを、請求項17から21の何れかに記載の方法を用いて生成し、前記フランジを少なくとも前記ダクトの一端に取り付けるステップをさらに有する、方法。
- 前記ダクトの材料の端部は、前記材料を前記フランジの一端に当接するように折り曲げることが可能となるように突出されており、前記フランジを前記突出部近傍の前記ダクトの表面に取り付け、前記複合材料の突出部を折り曲げて前記フランジの側面に接触するようにダクトを形成することにより前記フランジを前記ダクトに取り付ける、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記ダクトに接触している前記フランジの表面と前記三角形の断面の斜辺側面とによって形成される前記三角形の断面の頂点の接合部に充填材を適用するステップと、前記ダクト、前記充填材及び前記三角形の断面の斜辺側面の少なくとも一部を被覆するために、複合材料の層を付設するステップとをさらに有する、請求項23に記載の方法。
- 前記構造を送り込み、前記複合材料を硬化させて前記構造を供給するステップを含む、請求項23又は24に記載の方法。
- 請求項15から20の何れかに記載のフランジの製造方法に用いるマンドレルであって、前記マンドレルは、湾曲され、中実の三角形の断面を有している、マンドレル。
- 前記マンドレルは、互いに組み立てられることにより実質的に三角形の断面が形成されるような2以上の部材を有する、請求項26に記載のマンドレル。
- 実質的に三角形の断面を有する湾曲した部材を形成するために、一方の留め継ぎされる表面が他方の上部に配置される、2つの分割部を有している、請求項27に記載のマンドレル。
- 前記分割部の一端又は両端に取り付け可能な1又は複数のエンドプレートを有している、請求項28に記載のマンドレル。
- 前記マンドレルは、鉄ニッケル合金で作られる、請求項26から29の何れかに記載のマンドレル。
- 前記マンドレルは、複合材料で作られる、請求項26から30の何れかに記載のマンドレル。
- 前記マンドレルは、剥離剤により被覆される、請求項26から31の何れかに記載のマンドレル。
- 前記マンドレルは、PTFEにより被覆される、請求項26から32の何れかに記載のマンドレル。
