Description
The present invention relates to an embedding tray for preparing a histopathological specimen, and more particularly, to prevent the cassette from floating due to paraffin when the cassette is placed on the embedding tray to create a paraffin block. The present invention relates to an embedding tray for preparing a histopathological specimen, in which the cassette does not have to be pressed with a finger and is automatically fitted and held by the embedding tray so that the cassette is prevented from being lifted.
Conventionally, as an embedding tray for preparing this type of histopathological specimen, the one shown in FIG. 28 has been frequently used. The embedding tray T includes a paraffin storage portion T1, a cassette support portion T2 for placing a horizontal cassette on the periphery thereof, and a cassette member for stopping the movement of the cassette standing on the periphery thereof. The stop portion T3 is a frame portion T4 provided horizontally around the periphery of the stop portion T3, and further includes a grip portion T5 provided laterally at a substantially central portion on the long side of the frame portion T4.
Further, in recent years, it is composed of a paraffin storage portion formed of a rectangular container and a placement portion for a paraffin block adhering body provided at the periphery thereof, and at least two placement portions are provided, and two types having different sizes are provided. A tray for preparing a histopathological examination specimen that can handle the above cassettes is known (for example, see Patent Document 1).
In order to prepare a microscope specimen using the above-mentioned pathological examination specimen preparation tray, first, as shown in FIGS. 26 and 27, the sample S collected in the cassette body C1 is accommodated and a lid C2 is attached. The name and number of the subject are entered in the recording unit C3. Next, formalin water is allowed to flow through the bottom of the cassette body C1 and the through-hole C4 formed in the lid C2, so that the sample S is familiarized with the alcohol. Then, the moisture of the sample S is removed with alcohol, and liquid paraffin described later with xylene. To give affinity.
Next, after moving the specimen S to the tray T, as shown in FIG. 29, the paraffin P is injected from above so that the specimen S is immersed. Thereafter, the position and direction of the specimen S are quickly corrected before the paraffin P is cooled and solidified, and then, as shown in FIG. 30, the paraffin P is added until the paraffin container T1 is full. In this case, the paraffin P is gently injected so as to increase the surface tension. Next, as shown in FIG. 31, the cassette body C1 is placed on the raised paraffin P, and the paraffin P is allowed to ooze into the cassette body C1 through the through hole C4 formed in the bottom of the cassette body C1. At this time, it is necessary to firmly press the cassette body C1 with a finger so that the cassette body C1 does not float on the paraffin P. In this state, it is allowed to cool for a while, the surface of the paraffin P is solidified, the cassette body C1 is temporarily fixed on the embedding
However, this method is troublesome because it is necessary to keep pressing the cassette C until the surface of the paraffin P is solidified, and there is a risk of burns. In addition, if the pressing force is incorrect, the embedding tray T and the placed cassette body C1 will fall over and the tabletop will be soiled with paraffin, and valuable specimens will be contaminated and ruined, and the reliability of the test will be increased. Will be greatly impaired.
However, this method cannot be performed using a conventional cassette C that does not have the engaging protrusion C5, and it is not economical because not only the embedding tray T but also the cassette C needs to be newly aligned. Further, when engaging them, it is necessary to align the engagement protrusions C5 and the engagement recesses T6. Furthermore, when engaging and disengaging them, the engagement protrusions C5 and the engagement recesses T6 are matched in shape. Therefore, it is necessary to insert and remove in the vertical direction, so both hands must be used, and the work is troublesome and the workability is greatly reduced. That is, when removing the embedding tray T from the cassette block B, for example, when the embedding tray T is removed by holding only one side of the cassette C so as to open the lid, the engaging protrusion C5 is removed from the engaging recess T6. The embedding tray cannot be removed.
In view of such circumstances, the present inventors have conducted intensive research to eliminate the above-mentioned problems, and as a result, a holding plate is erected discontinuously on the paraffin container and the interval between the holding plates is detachably fitted. It has been found that by forming to the extent that it is worn, it is not necessary to hold the cassette with fingers when creating the paraffin block, and the embedding tray can be easily detached from the paraffin block, and the above conventional problems can be solved. The present invention has been completed.
The present invention has been made to achieve the above object, and claim 1 of the present invention is an embedding tray for preparing a histopathological specimen that is used by placing a cassette on the upper end of a paraffin container. The paraffin container is composed of a bottom part and side walls erected around the bottom part, and a clamping plate for fitting the cassette on the paraffin container part is discontinuously erected from the upper end of the opposite side wall. The interval is slightly narrower than the cassette width. By inserting the cassette between the clamping plates, the clamping plates are elastically deformed to widen the interval between the opposing clamping plates, and are held by the elastic repulsive force generated thereby. An embedding tray for preparing a histopathological specimen is characterized in that the cassette is sandwiched between plates.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided a pathology according to
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, there is provided an embedding tray for preparing a histopathological specimen as set forth in the first or second aspect, wherein a clamping plate is erected on the upper ends of all the side walls.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, the sandwiching plate and / or the locking plate are formed low so as not to substantially cover the recording portion of the inserted cassette at least on the side where the recording portion of the cassette is disposed. The content of the embedding tray for preparing a histopathological specimen according to any one of
A tenth aspect of the present invention includes an embedding tray for preparing a histopathological specimen according to any one of the first to ninth aspects, wherein the shape of the paraffin container is asymmetrical.
In the embedding tray for preparing a pathological specimen of the present invention, a clamping plate for fitting the cassette on the paraffin storage part is erected from the upper end of the opposite side wall, and the cassette is detachable between the clamping plates. It is formed to such an extent that it can be freely fitted. Therefore, when preparing the paraffin block, the cassette is loosely fixed on the embedding tray and does not float by the injection of paraffin. Therefore, not only does the cassette need not be pressed with fingers, but it is easily wrapped after the paraffin is cooled and solidified. The buried tray can be removed. That is, since the cassette is sandwiched without using the local engaging protrusions and depressions, the cassette and the embedding tray can be engaged and disengaged from any direction. For example, you can hold the embedding tray with one hand, hold the cassette with the other hand, and lightly press the cassette against the embedding tray to attach them together. The cassette and the embedding tray can be easily separated by simply applying a force to pry open. Further, it is possible to operate with one hand and one touch depending on the degree of fitting. For example, by placing the cassette on the embedding tray placed on the desk and pressing the cassette lightly with one hand, the cassette is locked on the embedding tray, and the thumb and middle finger are hung on the opposite side walls of the embedding tray. The embedding tray can be removed by lifting the cassette upward (obliquely) with the index finger.
As mentioned above, paraffin does not get burned by fingers, or the embedding tray is not accidentally overturned and the embedding tray is overturned and the desk top is soiled or precious materials are not messed up. Since the cassette can be easily engaged and disengaged, it is safer and more hygienic, the reliability of the inspection is improved, and the workability is dramatically improved.
If the distance between the clamping plate and only slightly narrower than the cassette width, by inserting the cassette into the clamping plates, the spacing is widened clamping plate is slightly elastically deformed, the cassette by its elastic restoring force Since the cassette side is pressed and the cassette is loosely clamped, the embedding tray and the cassette can be easily engaged and disengaged, and the operation with one hand is also facilitated.
If the gap between the clamping plate bases is the same as or slightly wider than the cassette width and the gap between the clamping plate tops is slightly narrower than the cassette width, the clamping plate will contact the side of the cassette only near the top and press against this part. Therefore, the interval between the clamping plates is easily expanded in accordance with the cassette width. For this reason, it is not necessary to determine the dimensional accuracy of the cassette in detail, and even a cassette with a low dimensional accuracy can be used.
When the locking plate is erected on the upper end of the side wall where the clamping plate is not erected, even if the cassette slides on the embedding tray, the cassette will come into contact with this locking plate, so it may come off the embedding tray. The workability is further improved.
When the sandwiching plates are erected on the upper ends of all the side walls, the cassette fitted to the embedding tray is securely held, so that workability is further improved.
When the sandwiching plate and / or the locking plate are formed low so that the recording portion of the inserted cassette is not substantially covered, the paraffin stays between the sandwiching plate and / or the locking plate and the recording portion of the cassette. However, since the recording part is not hidden, a trimming operation for scraping off the attached paraffin is unnecessary, and the recorded contents can be confirmed easily and reliably.
The height of the sandwiching plate and / or locking plate is preferably equal to or less than a quarter of the height of the cassette to be fitted. When this is the case, the recording unit is not covered by the sandwiching plate and / or the locking plate, There is substantially no inconvenience that characters or the like written on the recording portion are hidden by the paraffin staying between the sandwiching plate and / or the locking plate and the recording portion.
When the holding plate and / or the locking plate are erected only in the vicinity of the corner of the paraffin container on the side where the recording portion of the cassette is arranged, the portion where the characters are written, that is, the central portion is the holding plate and / or Or, it is not covered with the locking plate, and the characters and the like described in the recording portion are not hidden by paraffin, so that it is easier to check the description.
If the cassette support part is formed at the boundary between the side wall and the sandwiching plate and the width of the cassette support part is 0.5 to 2 mm, the paraffin does not stay in this part. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the inconvenience such as hiding the characters and the like, and to easily check the contents of the description and to place the cassette securely. Further, even if the width exceeds 2 mm, the same applies if the cassette support portion is an inclined surface having a minimum inclination angle of 45 ° or more.
Furthermore, if the shape of the paraffin container is left-right asymmetric, the right and left sides of the specimen can be discriminated by the shape of the paraffin when a microscope specimen is prepared, reducing the risk of sample mix-up and improving the reliability of the inspection. To do.
The embedding tray (hereinafter simply referred to as an embedding tray) for preparing a pathological specimen according to the present invention is used by placing a cassette on the upper end of the paraffin container. In the embedding tray of the present invention, the paraffin container is composed of a bottom part and a side wall erected around the bottom part, and a clamping plate for fitting the cassette on the paraffin container part is discontinuously standing from the upper end of the opposite side wall. The interval between the clamping plates is slightly narrower than the cassette width, or its base is the same or slightly wider than the cassette width, and its top is slightly narrower than the cassette width. The sandwiching plate is elastically deformed by inserting the cassette to widen the gap between the opposing sandwiching plates, and the cassette is sandwiched between the sandwiching plates by the elastic repulsive force generated thereby. And
The embedding tray of the present invention is made of a heat-resistant material that can withstand liquid (molten) paraffin, and examples of the material include metals such as stainless steel, resins such as polyester, polyamide, polycarbonate, and polyacetal.
The paraffin housing part is composed of a bottom part and side walls provided around the bottom part. In order to facilitate the demolding of the paraffin block, the side wall is usually tapered from the bottom part toward the opening. In order to further facilitate the demolding, it is preferable that the boundary between the bottom and the side wall and the boundary between the adjacent side walls are rounded.
From the upper end of the opposite side wall, a clamping plate for fitting the cassette on the paraffin housing is erected. In the present invention, the clamping plate holds the cassette on the embedding tray.
In detail, as shown in FIG. 21, first, the cassette C is inserted between the holding
In this invention, the space | interval of a clamping plate is formed to such an extent that a cassette is detachably fitted. If this interval is wider than the cassette width, even if the cassette is inserted between the clamping plates, the clamping plate is not elastically deformed, and no elastic repulsive force is generated, so that the cassette is not clamped. Conversely, if it is too narrow, the cassette cannot be inserted between the clamping plates, or if it is forcibly inserted, the elastic repulsion force of the clamping plate is too strong to remove the cassette from the embedding tray.
The appropriate interval between the opposing clamping plates varies depending on the size of the embedding tray and cassette, the elasticity of the material, etc., but cannot be generally specified, but is preferably slightly narrower than the cassette width. If it is about this level, the elastic repulsion force of the clamping plate is also small, the cassette is clamped with a weak force, and the cassette can be attached and detached with one hand, so that the workability is further improved .
Further, the interval between the opposing
In addition, when narrowing the space | interval of a clamping plate top part, you may incline only one of the opposing clamping plates, but it is more preferable to incline both inside and it is more preferable to make an inclination angle substantially the same.
Further, it is not necessary for the sandwiching plate to have the appropriate spacing in all the portions, and only a part of the sandwiching plate may have the proper spacing. In other words, the holding plate can be formed by a method in which plate-like members are erected on the top of the side wall at intervals wider than the cassette width, and only a part (for example, the central portion) is bent inward to adjust to an appropriate interval. .
The sandwiching plate only needs to be able to detachably mount the cassette. Therefore, the sandwiching plate may be provided on one or two sides of a pair of opposing sides of the paraffin container having a substantially rectangular cross section, or may be provided on three sides. Alternatively, it may be provided on all side walls, i.e. on all of the two pairs of sides. When the clamping plates are provided on all the side walls, the cassette is more securely held on the embedding tray and not easily dropped off, and the workability is further improved because the cassette hardly moves on the embedding tray. In this case, when each clamping plate is provided continuously, a cassette having high dimensional accuracy is required, so that each clamping plate is preferably discontinuous (independent).
A locking plate can be erected at the upper end of the side wall where the clamping plate is not erected. When the cassette slides on the cassette support portion, the locking plate abuts against the cassette and stops this movement, thereby preventing the locking plate from falling off the embedding tray.
Unlike the above-described sandwiching plate, this locking plate does not need to be provided on the opposing side walls. For example, the retaining plate is provided on a pair of opposing side walls, and only one of the remaining two side walls is engaged. A stop plate may be provided. When the locking plate is provided only on one side, it is preferable that this embedding tray is used with a cassette fitted so that the recording portion is arranged on the side wall where the locking plate is not provided. In this way, since there is no locking plate in front of the recording unit, even when the cassette is fitted in the embedding tray, it is possible to write characters etc. on the recording unit or read the record with a barcode reader etc. Not only is it easy, but even if the cassette moves due to writing pressure when writing characters or a collision with the recording part of the barcode reader, this cassette will come into contact with the locking plate provided on the back side. Because it stops, it does not fall off from the embedding tray.
Even when the locking plate is provided on the opposite side wall, the interval is not particularly limited, unlike the sandwiching plate. That is, there may be a slight gap between the locking
As described above, both the clamping plate and the locking plate are erected from the upper end of the side wall of the paraffin container. For this reason, when both the clamping plate and the locking plate are provided, or when the clamping plate is erected at the upper ends of all the side walls, these will eventually be provided adjacent to each other. It can also be provided continuously.
The height of the sandwiching plate and / or the locking plate is such that the paraffin deposited on the recording portion is reduced and the characters written on the recording portion are not hidden so that the recording portion is not substantially covered. It is preferable to form it so low. At this time, only the clamping plate and / or the locking plate on the side where the recording unit is arranged may be lowered, or all the clamping plates and / or the locking plates may be lowered.
The specific height of the sandwiching plate may be determined as appropriate according to the size of the cassette, and is not particularly limited. However, in consideration of the size of characters described in the recording unit, the height of the cassette is preferably 4 If it is less than or equal to 1/5, more preferably less than or equal to 1/5, there is little possibility that characters or the like written on the recording part are hidden by paraffin staying between the sandwiching plate and / or the locking plate and the recording part, The recording part is not substantially covered.
As a method for preventing the characters or the like written on the recording unit from being hidden by paraffin, in addition to the method of lowering the holding plate and / or the locking plate, the holding plate and / or the locking plate may be attached to the corners of the paraffin storage unit. A method of providing only near the portion can be employed. In this case, the paraffin stays between the sandwiching plate and / or the locking plate and the recording portion and covers the corner of the recording portion. However, since the characters are usually written near the center of the recording portion, the paraffin Does not substantially conceal characters or the like described in the recording section, and there is no problem in reading the description. Further, only the holding plate and / or the locking plate on the side where the recording unit is arranged may be erected near the corner, or all the holding plates and / or the locking plates may be provided only near the corner. Also good.
In the present invention, in order to place the cassette on the paraffin storage part, a cassette support part is formed at the boundary between the side wall and the holding plate. The cassette support is preferably formed narrow or inclined so as not to retain paraffin. In this way, the staying paraffin does not rise on the cassette support part and covers the lower part of the recording part, and therefore, there is no possibility that characters or the like written on the recording part are hidden by the solidified paraffin. Specifically, the width of the cassette support portion is preferably about 0.5 to 2 mm. If it is less than 0.5 mm, the bottom of the cassette may be smaller than the cassette support part due to dimensional errors in manufacturing the cassette or embedding tray, and the cassette may fall into the paraffin container. If the thickness exceeds 2 mm, the paraffin may stay on the cassette support and solidify in a raised state, concealing characters and the like, making it impossible to read the description.
However, even if it exceeds 2 mm, if this cassette support part is formed in a slope shape, the paraffin slides down along this slope and does not stay, so the letters etc. of the recording part are hidden by the raised and solidified paraffin. There is no fear. In this case, it is preferable that the minimum inclination angle of the cassette support portion is 45 ° or more. If it is less than 45 °, there is a risk that paraffin may stay depending on the width of the cassette support. The upper limit of the tilt angle is not particularly limited. If the tilt angle is smaller than 90 °, the cassette can be placed. However, if the tilt angle is too large, the paraffin container itself becomes too deep and difficult to handle. In practice, it is considered appropriate that the angle is about 10 to 40 ° smaller than the inclination angle of the side wall.
In the embedding tray of the present invention, the cassette support portion may be provided continuously around the entire circumference, but may be provided intermittently. In this case, since the paraffin slides down from the gap of the cassette support portion, it becomes more difficult to stay and the swell of paraffin is suppressed. More preferably, the cassette support portion is a hemispherical protrusion. In this case, the paraffin slides down on the surface of the hemispherical protrusion, and the swell of paraffin is further suppressed.
You may provide a large cassette support part in each upper-end corner | angular part of a paraffin accommodating part. The shape is not particularly limited as long as the cassette can be placed, but a structure in which the corner portion of the paraffin accommodating portion is slightly indented and the upper end of the triangular portion is the cassette support portion can be exemplified.
Paraffin may rise on this large cassette support and cover the corners of the cassette, but the subject number for identifying the specimen is usually written near the center of the recording unit. Therefore, there is little fear of being hidden by the raised paraffin. However, in order to further reduce this fear, it is preferable that at least the cassette support portion in contact with the side wall on which the recording portion is disposed is as small as possible.
In order to make the embedding tray of the present invention easy to handle, a gripping portion may be provided on the side wall or the holding plate. Considering the manufacturing process of the embedding tray, the gripping part can be easily provided at the edge of the embedding tray. However, since the paraffin rises on the gripping part, the edge of the side where the recording part of the cassette is not disposed. It is preferable to lay from the edge. In this way, even if the paraffin swells on the grip portion, there is no particular inconvenience because the characters in the recording portion are not hidden.
By making the shape of the paraffin storage part asymmetrical, the right and left of the slice sliced with the microtome are clearly distinguished, so that workability is improved and troubles such as mistaking the specimen due to misidentification of the left and right are prevented. , Improve the reliability of inspection.
The method of making the left-right asymmetry is not particularly limited, but, for example, a method of changing (enlarging) the radius of corners or a method of corrugating the side wall where the recording unit is not arranged can be employed.
The cassette for creating the paraffin block in the embedding tray of the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it is a cassette having a through hole in the bottom surface of the cassette body. As a typical cassette, an adapter for locking a microtome adapter on the side surface A cassette (FIGS. 24 and 26) provided with a locking part C7 and a cassette (FIGS. 25 and 27) provided with a sloped recording part C3 may be mentioned.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the drawings. However, it is needless to say that the present invention is not limited to only the embodiments.

FIG. 4 is a diagram showing a cross-sectional view of the embedding

Example 2
As shown in FIG. 5, the embedding
Example 3

Except for these points, the present embodiment is the same as the first embodiment.

FIG. 12 is a diagram showing a cross-sectional view of the embedding

FIG. 16 is a diagram showing a cross-sectional view of the embedding

FIG. 20 is a diagram showing a cross-sectional view of the embedding

As described above, the embedding tray for preparing the histopathological specimen of the present invention is prepared so that the cassette is detachably fitted to the upper part of the paraffin container of the embedding tray, so that a paraffin block is created. In this case, it is not necessary to hold the cassette with a finger to prevent the cassette from being lifted by paraffin, and the cassette and the embedding tray can be easily detached and attached with one hand with one touch. Therefore, the workability for preparing the histopathological specimen and the reliability of the examination are greatly improved, and its usefulness is greatly increased.
