Description
ピストンリングの外側周辺の表面上にCrN相の典型的な結晶構造を有する窒化クロム膜の使用は、この部品のために高い耐摩耗性を提供する。この膜は、最新の開発の高い機械及び熱負荷を有する、現代のエンジンにおいて広く使用されている。かかる被覆は、陰極アーク源によって発生させた物理的金属蒸着によって得られる。
本発明の目的は、関連技術において記載された大部分の(200)の結晶面の配向、又は被覆面に対して平行な大部分の(111)の結晶面を示すCrN被覆に関して、微小亀裂の伝播に関連した微小亀裂の開始に対して及び被覆の断片の損失に対して優れた抵抗を有する、物理的蒸着法による、結晶構造を有する窒化クロム被覆をピストンリングに提供することである。

下記は、前記に記載された本発明の範囲の実行のいくつかの実施例、並びに技術水準を再現する実行と比較してそれら実施例の機能的評価を記載している。
前記の方法により、ピストンリングを製造し、表1の試料被覆1、2及び4によって示した。それぞれの条件の2個のリングを、6シリンダーの450KWの強力なディーゼルエンジン中に取り付けた。そのリングは、加速させた熱衝撃試験を動力計セル中で500時間受け、その際、ライナー及びブロックの熱変形状態は、油膜の破損に関わる過酷な条件に加えて、ピストンリングの被覆された表面上の高い負荷の発生に対して特に厳しい。試験後の該リングの視覚的な評価及び冶金学上の評価を行い、そして表2で見ることができる。
前記の方法によって、ピストンリングを製造し、表1の試料被覆4、8及び12によって示した。それぞれの条件の2つのリングを、6シリンダーの450KWの強力なディーゼルエンジン中に取り付けた。該リングは、実施例1と同一の条件で、加速された熱衝撃試験を動力計セル中で500時間受けた。試験後に、リングの視覚的な評価及び冶金学上の評価を行い、そして表3で見ることができる。

Claims (8)
- 内燃機関のためのピストンリングであって、
鋼又は鋳鉄の基礎材料、及び
物理的蒸着法によってピストンリングの摺動面上に堆積させた窒化クロムの被覆
を有し、
該被覆は、
固溶体中の酸素含有率:1.0〜7.0質量%、及び
前記被覆の表面に対して平行な、(200)面に対する(111)面のX線回折の強度比:0.40〜0.70の範囲
を有するCrNの柱状結晶構造で構成されることを特徴とする内燃機関のためのピストンリング。 - 前記強度比が、0.45〜0.65である、請求項1に記載のピストンリング。
- 前記被覆が、約1500〜2200HVのビッカーズ硬度を有する、請求項1に記載のピストンリング。
- 前記被覆が、約5〜80ミクロンの厚さを有する、請求項1に記載のピストンリング。
- 前記基礎材料が、クロム10〜17%を有する鋼からなる、請求項1に記載のピストンリング。
- 前記鋼が、窒化されている、請求項5に記載のピストンリング。
- 前記基礎材料が、窒化された鋳鉄からなる、請求項1に記載のピストンリング。
- 前記基礎材料と前記被覆との間に堆積されたクロム、ニッケル又はコバルトの中間結合層をさらに有する、請求項1に記載のピストンリング。
