Claims (5)
- 移動局からの緊急呼を取り扱う方法であって、
位置情報を提供するために十分なグローバル測位システム(GPS)衛星又は十分なマクロセルを移動局が直接探知しない位置にある異動局から緊急呼を受信するステップと、
該位置において該移動局によって探知された少なくとも合成GPS信号の表示を受信するステップとを含み、該合成GPS信号は、複数のGPS衛星に関する情報に基づいており、該受信された表示は、複数の衛星に基づいており、
該受信した表示が該移動局の位置を見つけるための十分な情報を提供するか否かを判定することで、該受信した表示から該移動局の位置を特定するステップと、
該複数の衛星の複数のサブセットの各々に関する情報から該移動局の可能性のある複数の位置を特定するステップと、
該移動局の可能性のある複数の位置のうち既知の位置に対応する1つの位置を、該移動局の位置として選択するステップとを含む方法。 - 請求項1の方法において、
該移動局の可能性のある複数の位置を特定する一の試行の間、該複数の衛星のうちの1つを考慮の対象から除外して、該複数の衛星の第1のサブセットを形成するステップと、
該移動局の可能性のある複数の位置を特定する他の試行の間、該複数の衛星のうちの異なる1つを考慮の対象から続けて除外して、該複数の衛星の次のサブセットを形成するステップとを含む方法。 - 請求項2の方法において、
(i) 該複数の衛星の各々が考慮の対象から除外されるか、又は、
(ii) 1つの識別可能な位置に対応する該移動局の可能性のある1つの位置を取得するか、のいずれか一方が起こるまで、該続けて除外して該複数の衛星の次のサブセットを形成するステップを実行するステップをさらに含む方法。 - 請求項3の方法において、
該移動局の取得した該可能性のある1つの位置を、該移動局の該特定された位置として使用するステップを含む方法。 - 請求項3の方法において、
該移動局の該可能性のある1つの位置を特定するために、該複数の衛星のうちの更なる複数を考慮の対象から続けて除外して、該複数の衛星の複数の更なるサブセットを形成するステップと、
1つの識別可能な位置に対応する該移動局の可能性のある1つの位置を取得するまで、該続けて除外して該複数の衛星の複数の更なるサブセットを形成するステップ及び考慮するステップを継続するステップを含む方法。
