Claims (15)
- 1つ又は複数の化合物をイオン化するための、複数の部品を含むイオナイザと、
前記1つ又は複数の化合物のイオンを分離するための、複数の部品を含む質量分離器と、
前記1つ又は複数の化合物を同定するための、複数の部品を含む検出器と、
前記イオナイザ、前記質量分離器及び前記検出器のうちの少なくとも1つの前記複数の部品の1つを電気的に絶縁し、酸化ジルコニウム及び酸化アルミニウムの組成物を含む電気絶縁体であって、前記組成物が少なくとも約20体積%の酸化ジルコニウムを含む電気絶縁体と、を含み、
前記電気絶縁体が350℃において少なくとも1×10 12 オームの抵抗を与えるイオン光学系。 - 前記組成物は、少なくとも約50体積%の酸化ジルコニウムを含む、請求項1に記載のイオン光学系。
- 前記組成物は、基本的に約30体積%の酸化ジルコニウムと約70体積%の酸化アルミニウムとからなる、請求項1に記載のイオン光学系。
- 前記組成物は、基本的に約50体積%の酸化ジルコニウムと約50体積%の酸化アルミニウムとからなる、請求項1に記載のイオン光学系。
- 前記絶縁体は、1つ又は複数の他の部品を電気的に絶縁するためのスペーサである、請求項1に記載の光学系。
- 前記少なくとも1つの部品は、前記イオナイザの構造ロッドである、請求項1に記載の光学系。

前記少なくとも1つのスペーサ、少なくとも1つのビーズ及び少なくとも1つの支持体のうちの少なくとも1つは、酸化ジルコニウム及び酸化アルミニウムの組成物を含む電気絶縁体であって、前記組成物が少なくとも約20体積%の酸化ジルコニウムを含む電気絶縁体であり、
前記電気絶縁体が350℃において少なくとも1×10 12 オームの抵抗を与えるイオン光学系。 - 前記組成物は、少なくとも約50体積%の酸化ジルコニウムを含む、請求項9に記載のイオン光学系。
- 前記組成物は、基本的に約30体積%の酸化ジルコニウムと約70体積%の酸化アルミニウムとからなる、請求項9に記載のイオン光学系。
- 前記組成物は、基本的に約50体積%の酸化ジルコニウムと約50体積%の酸化アルミニウムとからなる、請求項9に記載のイオン光学系。
- 1つ又は複数の化合物をイオン化するための、複数の部品を含むイオナイザを提供する段階と、
前記1つ又は複数の化合物のイオンを分離するための、複数の部品を含む質量分離器を提供する段階と、
前記1つ又は複数の化合物を同定するための、複数の部品を含む検出器を提供する段階と、
前記イオナイザ、前記質量分離器及び前記検出器のうちの少なくとも1つの前記複数の部品の1つを電気的に絶縁するための、酸化ジルコニウム及び酸化アルミニウムの組成物を含む少なくとも1つの電気絶縁体を提供する段階であって、前記組成物が少なくとも約20体積%の酸化ジルコニウムを含む段階と、
を含み、
前記電気絶縁体が350℃において少なくとも1×10 12 オームの抵抗を与える、イオン光学系の1つ又は複数の部品を絶縁する方法。 - 前記組成物は、基本的に約30体積%の酸化ジルコニウムと約70体積%の酸化アルミニウムとからなる、請求項13に記載の方法。
