Claims (5)
- 熱可塑性材料を加工するための方法であって、
熱可塑性材料を選択された供給量でマイクロ波加熱装置に通過させることであって;
前記マイクロ波加熱装置が、
マイクロ波エネルギーを共振空洞に供給するためのマイクロ波エミッタと;
少なくとも1つの入口と少なくとも1つの出口を含む共振空洞であって、前記入口及び出口が集合的に、前記熱可塑性材料が前記共振空洞を通過するための通路を形成している、共振空洞と;
前記共振空洞の長さを調節するように設定されている可動ピストンとを含むことと;
前記共振空洞内で前記熱可塑性材料をマイクロ波に曝露することであって、前記曝露により前記熱可塑性材料の少なくとも一部分の温度の上昇が引き起こされることと;
前記マイクロ波エミッタにより生成された電場をピストン変位の関数として測定することと;
前記測定された電場に応答して前記可動ピストンの位置を調節することと;
前記熱可塑性材料を加工することと
を含む、方法。 - 前記熱可塑性材料の温度を測定すること;及び、
前記可動ピストンの位置、前記マイクロ波発生器への入力、及び前記熱可塑性材料の供給レートのうちの少なくとも1つを、前記測定された温度に応答して調節すること
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記可動ピストンが、フラッタリングピストンをさらに含み、前記方法が、前記フラッタリングピストンをフラッタリングさせることをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- マイクロ波感受性ポリマー領域を含む熱可塑性材料の加熱に適した装置であって、前記装置が、
マイクロ波エネルギーを共振空洞に供給するためのマイクロ波エミッタと;
少なくとも1つの入口と少なくとも1つの出口を含む前記共振空洞であって、前記入口及び出口が集合的に、前記熱可塑性材料が前記共振空洞を通過するための通路を形成している、前記共振空洞と;
振動する頂面を有し、前記共振空洞の長さを調節するように設定されている可動ピストンと;
前記マイクロ波エミッタにより生成された電場をピストン変位の関数として測定するための電場センサと;
前記電場センサから受け取ったデータに基づいて前記可動ピストンの位置を調節するための制御系と
を含む、装置。 - 前記可動ピストンが、フラッタリングピストンを含む、請求項4に記載の装置。
