Description
通常、全てのリーフシール要素は、同一の面取り加工端縁を有し、これによりリーフシールの両側部は、互いに平行ではない。全体として、端縁の面取り加工面は、直線状内方截頭円錐部であり又はリーフシールから外方に傾斜している。
通常、リーフシール要素は、使用時、回転軸に向けてハウジング内にて角度を成して設けられる。全体として、端縁部分は、通常、使用時、装置の高圧側となるように配置される。
更に、本発明によれば、上述したように、リーフシール装置及び(又は)リーフシールの組み合わせ体を備えるエンジンが提供される。
本発明は、リーフの位置に基づいてブローアップ又はブローダウン振舞いを変化させる構成を画成する。例えば、増大した差圧を伴う増加した軸の直径(例えば、遠心力の増加に起因する)に対応し得るよう、最初に「ブローアップ」の形態にあるシールを画成することが望ましい。しかし、ブローアップ特徴を制限し、また、多少のブローダウンによって変化した作動状態にて少ない漏洩を促進することが望ましいことがしばしばである。これは、リーフの輪郭外形の前側及び(又は)後側の輪郭外形を設定し、所定の組みの制御隙間を所定のリーフの方向にて提供することにより実現することができる。作動のために必要とされる力に依存して、簡単な面取り加工面、又はより複雑な複合的面取り加工面又は曲線部を使用することができる。
Claims (6)
- 回転軸を軸方向の高圧側と低圧側との間でシールするためのリーフシール装置であって、ハウジング内で回転軸へ向かってほぼ半径方向に突出したシールリーフを備え、シールリーフの主表面は軸方向に平行であり、シールリーフは半径方向に可撓性を有し、軸方向に剛性を有するリーフシール装置において、シールリーフはハウジングに対し軸方向に隣接する側端縁に沿って面取り加工面を有し、ハウジングはシールリーフの側端縁の面取り加工面に対向する端縁部分を有し、使用時、シールリーフの半径方向の撓みにより、シールリーフの側端縁の面取り加工面とハウジングの端縁部分との間の制御空隙(X,XX)が変化してシールリーフの半径方向の撓みに対する半径方向の抵抗力を制御することを特徴とするリーフシール装置。
- ハウジングの端縁部分は、シールリーフの側端縁の面取り加工面に向かって内方へ突出する球形脚部である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- シールリーフは、使用時、回転軸に向かって、ハウジング内で角度を成して設けられている請求項1又は2に記載の装置。
- ハウジングの端縁部分は、通常使用時、リーフシール装置の高圧側に配置される、請求項1ないし3の何れか1つの項に記載の装置。
- 請求項1ないし4の何れの1つの項に記載のリーフシール装置を複数備えるリーフシール組み合わせ体。
- 請求項1ないし4の何れか1つの項に記載のリーフシール装置、又は、請求項5に記載のリーフシール組み合わせ体を備えるエンジン。
