Description
(i)植物の花序をデジタル的に画像化するステップ;および
(ii)デジタル画像から花序を測定するステップ;および
(iii)ステップ(ii)から導き出された測定値と花序の平均生長速度から開花開始を計算するステップ
を含んでなる前記方法を提供する。
(i)1以上の植物を生育させる容器を支持し、かつ移動させる輸送手段;
(ii)発生する植物の花序を画像化するのに十分な解像度をもつ1台以上のデジタルカメラ;ならびに
(iii)植物の花序を検出、測定し、花序の測定値と平均生長速度から開花開始を導き出すコンピューター手段
を含んでなる前記装置が提供される。
Claims (9)
- 植物の開花開始を決定する方法であって、
(i)植物の花序をデジタル的に画像化するステップ;および
(ii)デジタル画像から花序を測定するステップ;および
(iii)ステップ(ii)から導き出された測定値と花序の平均生長速度から開花開始を計算するステップ
を含んでなる前記方法。 - 花序がその最大サイズに達する前に、前記花序を画像化する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記花序を、植物の成熟まで少なくとも7日毎に画像化する、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 対照植物と比較して開花時が改変された植物を選択するステップをさらに含んでなる、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記植物がイネ、コムギおよびトウモロコシなどの穀類である、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 開花開始を決定する装置であって、
(i)1つ以上の植物を生育する容器を支持し、かつ移動させる輸送手段;
(ii)発生する植物の花序を画像化するのに十分な解像度をもつ1台以上のデジタルカメラ;
(iii)植物の花序を検出し、測定し、花序の測定値と平均生長速度から開花開始を導き出すコンピューター手段
を含んでなる前記装置。 - 開花開始を決定する装置であって、
(i)1つ以上の植物を生育する、固有の識別子を有する容器を支持し、かつ移動させる輸送手段;
(ii)発生する植物の花序を画像化するのに十分な解像度をもつ1台以上のデジタルカメラ;
(iii)前記容器の固有の識別子を読取る識別子読取機;
(iv)画像を保存し、解析するときに、前記固有の識別子を写真に連結するコンピューター手段;
(v)植物の花序を検出し、測定し、花序の測定値と平均生長速度から開花開始を導き出すコンピューター手段
を含んでなる前記装置。 - 前記1台以上のデジタルカメラが100ピクセルの最少サイズをもつように花序を画像化することができる、請求項6または7に記載の装置。
- 対照植物と比較して改変された開花時を有する植物を育種するための、請求項6〜8のいずれか1項に記載の装置の使用であって、
(i)前記デジタルカメラにより植物の花序をデジタル的に画像化するステップ;
(ii)前記コンピューター手段により、デジタル画像から植物の花序を検出し、測定し、花序の測定値と平均生長速度から開花開始を導き出すステップ;および、
(iii)対照植物と比較して開花時が改変された植物を選択するステップ;
を含む、前記使用。
