Description
a)基材に重なる厚さ約25〜約500μmの環境バリヤー層を形成し、
b)環境バリヤー層に重なる遷移層であって、マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物10モル%以下で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアと、ニオビア及びタンタラ及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される低CTE酸化物とを含む厚さ約25〜約500μmの遷移層を形成し、
c)遷移層に重なるトップコートであって、約12.5〜約1250μmの厚さを有すると共に、マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物10モル%以下で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアを含むトップコートを形成する
ことを含んでなる方法にも関する。
a)基材に重なる厚さ約25〜約500μmの環境バリヤー層を形成し、
b)環境バリヤー層に重なる遷移層であって、マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物10モル%以下で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアと、ニオビア及びタンタラ及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される低CTE酸化物とを含む厚さ約25〜約500μmの遷移層を形成し、
c)遷移層に重なるトップコートであって、約12.5〜約1250μmの厚さを有すると共に、マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物10モル%以下で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアを含むトップコートを形成する
ことを含んでなる方法も提供する。

Claims (10)
- a)ケイ素含有材料からなる基材(12)、
b)基材に重なる環境バリヤー層(16)であって、(i)アルカリ土類金属アルミノケイ酸塩、(ii)ムライト又はムライトとケイ酸イットリウムもしくはアルカリ土類金属アルミノケイ酸塩との混合物、或いは(iii)RE 2 O 3 ・SiO 2 、2RE 2 O 3 ・3SiO 2 、RE 2 O 3 ・2SiO 2 及びこれらの組合せ(式中、REは、Sc、Y、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、Yb、Lu、Eu、Gd、Tb及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される希土類元素である。)からなる群から選択される希土類ケイ酸塩、のいずれかからなる環境バリヤー層(16)、
c)環境バリヤー層に重なる遷移層(20)であって、(c1)マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物10モル%以下で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアと、(c2)ニオビア及びタンタラ及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される低CTE酸化物とを含む遷移層(20)、並びに
d)遷移層に重なるトップコート(18)であって、マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物10モル%以下で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアを含むトップコート(18)
を含んでなる物品(10)。 - 前記基材(12)が、炭化ケイ素、窒化ケイ素、炭化ケイ素と窒化ケイ素とケイ素の1種以上からなる母材を有する複合材、及び炭化ケイ素母材と窒化ケイ素母材とケイ素母材の1種以上を炭化ケイ素と窒化ケイ素とケイ素の1種以上で補強した複合材からなる群から選択される材料からなる、請求項1記載の物品。
- 前記環境バリヤー層(16)が、アルミノケイ酸バリウムストロンチウムを含む、請求項1又は請求項2記載の物品。
- 前記遷移層(20)及びトップコート(18)がイットリア安定化ジルコニア又はイットリア安定化ハフニアを含む、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項記載の物品。
- 前記遷移層(20)が、いずれもモル基準で、38〜80%のジルコニアもしくはハフニア又はこれらの混合物と、10〜60%のニオビアもしくはタンタラ又はこれらの混合物と、2〜10%のイットリアとからなる、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項記載の物品。
- 前記環境バリヤー層(16)が25〜500μmの厚さを有し、遷移層(20)が25〜500μmの厚さを有し、トップコート(18)が12.5〜1250μmの厚さを有する、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項記載の物品。
- 前記遷移層(20)が傾斜組成を有していて、環境バリヤー層(16)から離れる方向に向かって漸減するニオビア及び/又はタンタラ濃度と漸増するイットリア安定化ジルコニア及び/又はイットリア安定化ハフニア濃度を有し、遷移層(20)とトップコート(18)との界面ではイットリア安定化ジルコニア及び/又はイットリア安定化ハフニアから実質的になる、請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか1項記載の物品。
- ケイ素含有材料からなる基材(12)上に熱/環境バリヤーコーティング系(14)を設けるための方法であって、
a)基材に重なる厚さ25〜500μmの環境バリヤー層(16)であって、(i)アルカリ土類金属アルミノケイ酸塩、(ii)ムライト又はムライトとケイ酸イットリウムもしくはアルカリ土類金属アルミノケイ酸塩との混合物、或いは(iii)RE 2 O 3 ・SiO 2 、2RE 2 O 3 ・3SiO 2 、RE 2 O 3 ・2SiO 2 及びこれらの組合せ(式中、REは、Sc、Y、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、Yb、Lu、Eu、Gd、Tb及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される希土類元素である。)からなる群から選択される希土類ケイ酸塩、のいずれかからなる環境バリヤー層(16)を形成し、
b)環境バリヤー層に重なる遷移層(20)であって、(c1)マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物10モル%以下で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアと、(c2)ニオビア及びタンタラ及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される低CTE酸化物とを含む厚さ25〜500μmの遷移層(20)を形成し、
c)遷移層に重なるトップコート(18)であって、マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物10モル%以下で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアを含む厚さ12.5〜1250μmのトップコート(18)を形成する
ことを含んでなる方法。 - 前記基材(12)が、炭化ケイ素、窒化ケイ素、炭化ケイ素と窒化ケイ素とケイ素の1種以上からなる母材を有する複合材、及び炭化ケイ素母材と窒化ケイ素母材とケイ素母材の1種以上を炭化ケイ素と窒化ケイ素とケイ素の1種以上で補強した複合材からなる群から選択される材料からなる、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記遷移層(20)が、いずれもモル基準で、38〜80%のジルコニアもしくはハフニア又はこれらの混合物と、10〜60%のニオビアもしくはタンタラ又はこれらの混合物と、2〜10%のイットリアとからなる、請求項8又は請求項9記載の方法。
