c)遷移層に重なるトップコートであって、約12.5〜約1250μmの厚さを有すると共に、マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアを含むトップコートを形成する
ことを含んでなる方法にも関する。
a)基材に重なる厚さ約25〜約500μmの環境バリヤー層を形成し、
b)環境バリヤー層に重なる遷移層であって、マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアと、ニオビア及びタンタラ及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される低CTE酸化物とを含む厚さ約25〜約500μmの遷移層を形成し、
c)遷移層に重なるトップコートであって、約12.5〜約1250μmの厚さを有すると共に、マグネシウム、カルシウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム及びランタニド金属及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される金属の酸化物で安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアを含むトップコートを形成する
ことを含んでなる方法も提供する。

Claims (7)
- a)ケイ素含有材料からなる基材(12)、
b)基材に重なる環境バリヤー層(16)であって、アルカリ土類金属アルミノケイ酸塩材料を含む環境バリヤー層(16)、
c)環境バリヤー層に重なる遷移層(20)であって、いずれもモル基準で、40〜80%のジルコニア又はハフニア又はそれらの混合物と、10〜60%のニオビア又はタンタラ又はそれらの混合物と、2〜20%のイットリアとを含む遷移層(20)、並びに
d)遷移層に重なるトップコート(18)であって、1〜9モル%のイットリアで安定化したジルコニア又はハフニアを含むトップコート(18)
を含んでなる物品(10)。 - 基材(12)が、炭化ケイ素、窒化ケイ素、炭化ケイ素と窒化ケイ素とケイ素の1種以上からなる母材を有する複合材、及び炭化ケイ素母材と窒化ケイ素母材とケイ素母材の1種以上を炭化ケイ素と窒化ケイ素とケイ素の1種以上で補強した複合材からなる群から選択される材料からなる、請求項1記載の物品。
- 環境バリヤー層(16)がアルミノケイ酸バリウムストロンチウムを含む、請求項1又は請求項2記載の物品。
- 環境バリヤー層(16)が25〜500μmの厚さを有し、遷移層(20)が25〜500μmの厚さを有し、トップコート(18)が12.5〜1250μmの厚さを有する、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項記載の物品。
- 遷移層(20)が傾斜組成を有していて、環境バリヤー層(16)から離れる方向に向かって漸減するニオビア及び/又はタンタラ濃度と漸増するイットリア安定化ジルコニア及び/又はイットリア安定化ハフニア濃度を有し、遷移層(20)とトップコート(18)との界面ではイットリア安定化ジルコニア及び/又はイットリア安定化ハフニアから実質的になる、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項記載の物品。
- 環境バリヤー層(16)がアルミノケイ酸バリウムストロンチウムの均一な組成からなる、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項記載の物品(10)。
- 当該物品がガスタービンエンジン部品(10)である、請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか1項記載の物品(10)。
