Claims (3)
- N(ただし、Nは2以上の整数である。)個の発光ダイオードを有する複数の発光ダイオードアレイと、
前記N個の発光ダイオードに入力された電流に対応するフィードバック信号を検出する検出部と、
前記検出部からのフィードバック信号に応じて前記N個の発光ダイオードを駆動する駆動部と、
を備え、
前記複数の発光ダイオードアレイの各々は、
前記N個の発光ダイオードが配置された印刷回路基板と、
前記印刷回路基板上に形成され、前記電流発生部からの電流を前記N個の発光ダイオードのアノード電極に供給するアノード電極ラインと、
前記印刷回路基板上に形成され、前記N個の発光ダイオードのカソード電極に共通して接続された接地ラインと、
を備え、
前記駆動部は、
前記N個の発光ダイオードに入力する複数の電流であって、各々が少なくとも2個の発光ダイオードに共通して供給される電流を発生させ、この発生させた電流を前記検出部を介して前記N個の発光ダイオードの各々に供給する電流発生部と、
前記検出部からの前記フィードバック信号に基づいて前記電流発生部を制御する制御部と、
を備え、
前記検出部は、前記電流発生部の上記複数の電流の各出力端子と前記N個の発光ダイオードのアノード電極との間に接続され、
前記検出部は、前記アノード電極に直列に接続される発光素子と、
前記発光素子からの光を前記フィードバック信号に変換して前記制御部に供給する受光素子と、
を備え、
前記駆動部は、少なくとも2個の発光ダイオードに定電流を共通して供給して、前記検出部は、少なくとも2個の発光ダイオードに共通して供給された定電流に対応するフィードバック信号を検出することを特徴とするバックライトユニット。 - 上部基板と下部基板との間に液晶が注入されてなる液晶パネルと、
前記液晶パネルに光を照射するバックライトユニットと、を備え、
前記バックライトユニットは、
N(ただし、Nは2以上の整数である。)個の発光ダイオードを有する複数の発光ダイオードアレイと、
前記N個の発光ダイオードに入力された電流に対応するフィードバック信号を検出する検出部と、
前記検出部からのフィードバック信号に応じて前記N個の発光ダイオードを駆動する駆動部と、
を備え、
前記複数の発光ダイオードアレイの各々は、
前記N個の発光ダイオードが配置された印刷回路基板と、
前記印刷回路基板上に形成され、前記電流発生部からの電流を前記N個の発光ダイオードのアノード電極に供給するアノード電極ラインと、
前記印刷回路基板上に形成され、前記N個の発光ダイオードのカソード電極に共通して接続された接地ラインと、
を備え、
前記駆動部は、
前記N個の発光ダイオードに入力する複数の電流であって、各々が少なくとも2個の発光ダイオードに共通して供給される電流を発生させ、前記発生させた電流を前記検出部を介して前記N個の発光ダイオードの各々に供給する電流発生部と、
前記検出部からの前記フィードバック信号に基づいて前記電流発生部を制御する制御部と、
を備え、
前記検出部は、前記電流発生部の上記複数の電流の各出力端子と前記N個の発光ダイオードのアノード電極との間に接続され、
前記検出部は、前記アノード電極に直列に接続される発光素子と、
前記発光素子からの光を前記フィードバック信号に変換して前記制御部に供給する受光素子と、
を備え、
前記駆動部は、少なくとも2個の発光ダイオードに定電流を共通して供給して、前記検出部は、少なくとも2個の発光ダイオードに共通して供給された定電流に対応するフィードバック信号を検出することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記バックライトユニットは、
前記複数の発光ダイオードアレイを受納するランプハウジングと、
前記ランプハウジング上に配置された拡散板と、
前記拡散板上に配置された複数の光学シートと、
をさらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
