Description
この出願は2004年1月2日に出願された米国出願第60/534,180号の利益を主張している。
電気式の無気塗料噴霧器は種々の構造体に対して建築コーティングを塗布するのに一般的である。このような噴霧器は、一般的には、設定圧力を維持するために、オン/オフ(デッドバンド)又は可変速度制御を使用している。このような噴霧器には、一般的に、熱的保護が設けられており、モータの温度が予め設定されたレベルを超えたときに、噴霧器を遮断するようになっている。
したがって、この発明の目的は、塗装工に対して能率向上をもたらす熱的保護システムを提供することである。また、この発明の目的は、性能の許容レベルを維持しつつ、小さく、及び/又は、軽いモータの使用を可能にする保護を提供することである。
図1に示されるように、噴霧器16の温度をモニタするために、噴霧器16内の電気モータ14のブラシホルダ12に100キロオームのNTCサーミスタ10が配置される。制御ボード20上のプロセッサ18がサーミスタ10の出力をモニタする。モータ14の限界を十分に下回る温度において、噴霧器16は最適能力のために十分に選択された圧力及び可変速度で作動する。
Claims (7)
- ユーザが選択した制御された圧力を維持するために作動し、モータを備える可変速度の電気式噴霧器を熱的に保護するための方法であって、
前記モータの温度をモニタする段階と、
前記モータの温度が予め設定されたレベルを超えたときに、前記ユーザが選択した制御された圧力から制御された圧力を減じて、噴霧を継続する段階と、
を有する方法。 - 前記変化が起こるのは、前記モータの温度が予め設定された長さのモータの作動時間にわたって前記予め設定されたレベルを超えた後に限られる請求項1に記載の方法。
- ユーザが選択した制御された圧力を維持するために作動し、モータを備える可変速度の電気式噴霧器を熱的に保護するための方法であって、
前記モータの温度をモニタする段階と、
前記モータの温度が予め設定されたレベルを超えたときに、前記モータの制御を可変速度制御からオン/オフ制御に切り替えて前記ユーザが選択した制御された圧力で噴霧を継続する段階と、
を有する方法。 - 前記変化が起こるのは、前記モータの温度が予め設定された長さのモータの作動時間にわたって前記予め設定されたレベルを超えた後に限られる請求項3に記載の方法。
- ユーザが選択した制御された圧力を維持するために作動し、モータを備える可変速度の電気式噴霧器を熱的に保護するための方法であって、
前記モータの温度をモニタする段階と、
前記モータの温度が第1の予め設定されたレベルを超えたときに、前記ユーザが選択した制御された圧力から制御された圧力を減じて、低下した圧力で噴霧を継続する段階と、
前記モータの温度が第2の予め設定されたレベルを超えたときに、前記モータの制御を可変速度制御からオン/オフ制御に切り替えて前記低下した圧力で噴霧を継続する段階と、
を有する方法。 - 前記第2の予め設定されたレベルは前記第1の予め設定されたレベルよりも高い請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記変化が起こるのは、前記モータの温度が予め設定された長さのモータの作動時間にわたって前記予め設定されたレベルを超えた後に限られる請求項5に記載の方法。
