Description
【0001】
SiO2 30〜35%、MgO 5〜8%)
CaSO4(無水石膏として計算) 13〜17%
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to hydraulic binders, in particular hydraulic low blast furnace slag micronized to more than 5,000 cm 2 / g in Blaine method fineness, sulfate accelerators and activation additives. Relates to binders.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Blast furnace slag is a byproduct of pig iron refining. In the blast furnace, lighter slag is formed on the hot metal at a temperature of about 1900 ° C., and this slag consists of components including clay, silica and lime in iron ore and impurities such as limestone and char. This slag is called blast furnace slag and is quenched with water at about 1400 ° C. By this rapid cooling, a granulated granule having a large amount of glass and having a latent hydraulic binding force is formed. However, this glassy blast furnace slag cannot be used independently as a binder. This curing energy can be activated by the addition of an accelerator. There are basically two ways to perform this activation. That is, a method by adding calcium hydroxide [Ca (OH) 2 ] or cement (alkali activation method) and a method by adding calcium sulfate (CaSO 4 ) (sulfate activation method). However, not all slag is activated in the same way.
[0003]
The latent hydraulic bond strength of slag varies depending on its components. Page 116 of Dr. Fritz Keil's "Cement, Manufacture and Characteristics", Springer Publishers, Berlin, 1971. According to the quoted ratio (CaO + CaS + 0.5 MgO + Al 2 O 3 ) / (SiO 2 + MnO). If the F value exceeds 1.9, the slag is considered very good in terms of hydraulic bonding. When the F value is less than 1.5, the hydraulic property is relatively low. Another criterion for slag activation is the silicon dioxide (SiO 2 ) component. A slag having a SiO 2 content of less than 32% is generally considered to have a high hydraulic property, and a slag having a SiO 2 content exceeding 37% is considered to have a low hydraulic property.
[0004]
Regarding the alkali activation method, according to EN (European standard) 197-1 “Cement Production”, the slag quality should comply with the following requirements: ratio (CaO + MgO) / SiO 2 is greater than 1.0. is there.
[0005]
Regarding the sulfate activation method, according to the slag literature, the aluminum oxide (Al 2 O 3 ) component is at least 13% and the ratio (CaO + MgO + Al 2 O 3 ) / SiO 2 is greater than 1.6. It should be stated. A number of patents also state that the calcium oxide (CaO) component should be greater than 40% and the Al 2 O 3 component should be greater than 14% (see, for example, Canadian Patent No. 1,131,664).
[0006]
According to Canadian Patent 1,131,664, the binder has the following components:
Granulated blast furnace slag 80-85%
(Including CaO 40-50%, Al 2 O 3 14-20%,
SiO 2 30~35%, MgO 5~8% )
CaSO 4 (calculated as anhydrous gypsum) 13-17%
Portland cement 1.5-2.5%
Organic carboxylic acid or salt 0.1-0.5%
Methylcellulose, sodium stearate,
Or sodium lauryl benzol sulfonate 0.03-0.6% and sodium sulfate 0.6-2%
In the above teaching, slag with high hydraulic properties is used. In order to improve the slag hydraulic properties for this purpose, Al 2 O 3 and CaO are added to the slag and the mixture is heated.
[0007]
However, based on the above criteria, it has been found that most available blast furnace slag has a relatively low hydraulic property. Such low blast furnace slag can be used as an additive added to cement in cement production up to 65% empirically. Beyond this value, the strength of the cement product decreases rapidly. Also in the concrete industry, such low blast furnace slag can only be used as a limited additive.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In view of the above problems in the prior art, an object of the present invention is to provide a binder of the type described at the beginning which has a high value as a product while using a low-level slag.
[0009]
Moreover, this invention makes it a subject to provide the binder which eliminated the various malfunction point in the above-mentioned prior art.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a hydraulic binder including a low-potential hydraulic blast furnace slag, a sulfate accelerator, and an activation additive, and the blast furnace slag has a grain fineness of 5,000. micronized to more than cm 2 / g and substantially the following analytical value:
Glassy:> 93% (> 93%)
SiO 2 : 34 to 40%
CaO: 34-37%
Al 2 O 3 : more than 9% (> 9%) and ratio (CaO + MgO) / (Al 2 O 3 + SiO 2 ): 0.88 to 0.98
A hydraulic binder is provided.
[0011]
While a slag that satisfies the above parameters is considered to have a low hydraulic property on a normal basis, it has surprisingly been found that the product has good performance. In this slag according to the invention, Al 2 O 3 can be less than 13%, the F value is less than 1.5, and the ratio (CaO + MgO + Al 2 O 3 ) / SiO 2 is less than 1.6. Can do.
[0012]
It is rare that only one type of slag meets all the requirements of the invention. However, since there are many types of low-level slag, it is possible to satisfy all the requirements of the present invention by mixing at least two types of blast furnace slag. The achievement of the requirements of the present invention by mixing slag from various sources has the further advantage that the degree of activity is greatly increased.
[0013]
The activity of slag is 12-20% natural gypsum, flue gas desulfurization recovered gypsum or anhydrous gypsum, 0.5-5% Portland cement and / or 0.5-3% hot dust, calcium oxide. Alternatively, other CaO carriers such as calcium hydroxide, 0 to 3% alkali sulfate or alkali carbonate and / or 0.5 to 3% carboxylic acid calcium salt are added and mixed or powdered together. The The use of hot dust (hot meal) obtained from flue gas or kiln gas is advantageous because it accelerates slag hydration and increases compressive strength. The hot dust can be obtained by removing acid in the range of 70 to 90% of coarse dust deposited on the cyclone at the bottom of the heat exchange furnace at 800 to 900 ° C. during the production of Portland cement clinker. This hot dust can be recovered by bypassing from the furnace system and consists mainly of CaO.
[0014]
The cured product made with the binder of the present invention is highly resistant to sulfate attack and has a strength equivalent to the strength grades of Austrian Standard (OE NORM) B3310 and European Standard (EN) 197-1. This is comparable to or better than Portland cement.
[0015]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
An actual example of the present invention will be further described. Here, the binder is made up of the following components:
Slag (Brain value 5,800 cm 2 / g) 85%
Flue gas desulfurization recovery gypsum 13%
Portland cement 1%
Hot dust 0.5%
Calcium acetate 0.5%
A comparative test was performed on a preferred slag according to the present invention and an unsuitable slag close to the present invention, and the slag data and the resulting strength are shown in the following table:
[0016]
The resulting strength can be substantially further increased by concrete additives such as diluents that reduce the water / binder ratio from 0.6 to 0.30.
[0017]
【Effect of the invention】
The binder of the present invention has a particularly low heat of hydration and is therefore suitable for the production of purification plants, sewage pipes, various tanks, collection containers, buildings, etc. that are exposed to sulfate attack.
