Claims (7)
- 2つの部材間の相対変位を測定するための装置であって、
(a)測定軸方向に沿って延びるスケールと、
(b)該スケールが照明された時に、スケール上の視野からスケール像の光を受け取って、光検出器に像を与えるように設計された、
(i)結像部、及び、
(ii)前記視野に照明を与えるための、スケールから公称距離Lの位置に配置された焦点距離fのレンズと発光素子を有する光源を備えた照明部を有する読み取りヘッドとを備え、
前記発光素子の有効位置が、ほぼ前記レンズの焦点面にあるように前記光源が配置され、
前記視野に与えられる照明がインコヒーレントであるように前記照明部が構成され、
前記視野が寸法FOVを持ち、前記発光素子が有効幅wを持って波長λの放射を発生し、前記照明部がw/f>2.44*λ/(FOV/k)(ここでkは1以上の実数)であるように構成され、
前記視野に与えられる照明が視野にわたってほぼ均一とされていることを特徴とする結像型光エンコーダ。 - 請求項1において、前記レンズが開放口Dを有し、w/fがD/Lより小さい結像型光エンコーダ。
- 請求項2において、w/fがFOV/Lより小さい結像型光エンコーダ。
- 請求項1において、前記スケールがピッチPの周期性格子構造を含み、前記発光素子が、有効幅wを持って波長λの放射を発生し、前記照明部がw/f>2.44*λ/(n*P)(ここで、nは0よりも大きくて10以下の実数)であるように構成されている結像型光エンコーダ。
- 請求項1において、前記光源がLEDを備え、該LEDがLEDレンズを含み、前記光源が制限開口を含む結像型光エンコーダ。
- 請求項1において、前記結像部が全入射角αを持つテレセントリック結像系を備え、前記視野が寸法FOVを持ち、前記レンズが開放口Dを持ち、L<(D−FOV)/αであるように構成されている結像型光エンコーダ。
- 請求項1において、前記照明部が、前記レンズからの光を受光して視野を照明するように位置された拡散板を更に備えた結像型光エンコーダ。
