Description
Claims (4)
- パスラインに沿って入側に配設されたプッシャと、パスラインに沿って出側に配設されたプラグと、プラグを挟んで対向して配設された複数の傾斜ロールとを備えた穿孔機を用いてビレットを穿孔圧延する継目無管の製造方法であって、
前記ビレットを前記プッシャと前記プラグとの間のパスライン上に配置する工程と、
前記ビレットを前進させ前記複数の傾斜ロールに噛み込ませる工程と、
少なくとも前記噛み込まれたビレットが前記プラグに接触してから穿孔圧延が定常状態に至るまでの間、ビレットの進行速度が、定常状態においてプッシャでビレットを押し進めることなく穿孔圧延する場合のビレットの定常状態での進行速度以上となるように、前記プッシャにより前記ビレットを押し進める工程と、
穿孔圧延前に、式(1)及び式(2)を満たすように前記傾斜ロールの位置を設定する工程とを備えることを特徴とする継目無管の製造方法。

ここで、Dgは傾斜ロールのゴージ部のロール径(mm)、dは前記ビレットの外径(mm)である。式(2)中のDFTはゴージドラフト比、ELは穿孔圧延比であり、以下の式(3)及び(4)により定義される。

EL=L1/L0 (4)
ここで、Rgは前記ゴージ部での最短距離となるロール間隔(mm)、L0は前記ビレットの長さ(mm)、L1は穿孔後の中空素管の長さ(mm)である。 - 請求項1に記載の継目無管の製造方法であって、
前記押し進める工程では、少なくとも前記噛み込まれたビレットが前記プラグに接触してから穿孔圧延が定常状態に至るまでの間、前記プラグに作用するスラスト荷重が、定常状態においてプッシャでビレットを押し進めることなく穿孔圧延する場合に前記定常状態で前記プラグに作用するスラスト荷重以上となるように、前記プッシャにより前記ビレットを押し進める工程とを備えることを特徴とする継目無管の製造方法。 - 請求項1に記載の継目無管の製造方法であってさらに、
穿孔圧延が定常状態となったとき、前記プッシャで前記ビレットを押し進めるのを停止する工程を備えることを特徴とする継目無管の製造方法。 - 請求項3の記載の継目無管の製造方法であって、
前記穿孔機はさらに、前記出側に配設され、中空素管の先端が前記傾斜ロール後端の間を通過したか否かを検知する検知装置を備え、
前記停止する工程では、前記検知装置が前記傾斜ロール後端の間を通過した中空素管の先端を検知したとき、前記プッシャで前記ビレットを押し進めるのを停止することを特徴とする継目無管の製造方法。
