Description

The present invention relates to a display device.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, various types of display devices employing flat thin display panels such as a plasma display panel (hereinafter referred to as PDP), a liquid crystal display panel, an organic electroluminescence panel, and the like have been developed.
FIG. 1 shows an example of the overall configuration of a plasma display device incorporating the above PDP.

As shown in the figure, the housing that accommodates the PDP 8 includes a front frame 4 in which a front cover made of glass or the like is disposed in an opening, and a metal rear cover 6.
The PDP 8 is held by adhering to the front surface of the chassis member 10 made of aluminum or the like via a heat conductive sheet 9, and a scan circuit in which a drive circuit for driving the PDP 8 is mounted on the rear surface side of the chassis member 10. A plurality of circuit blocks (circuit boards) such as the circuit boards 1 and 2 and a drive circuit board 3 on which a power supply circuit for supplying power to the drive circuit is mounted.

These circuit boards are composed of a plurality of small circuit boards that are independent for each application, thereby improving the productivity, versatility, maintainability, etc. of the circuit boards.
By the way, a large current must flow from the drive circuit board 3 to the scan circuit boards 1 and 2, but when a connection line is used for the connection, the impedance change between the connection line and each board is large, and the conductive circuit It is difficult to improve characteristics.

FIG. 2 is a plan view showing an example of the internal arrangement structure with the rear cover 6 removed in the plasma display device having the above configuration. FIG. 3 is an enlarged perspective view of a part of the circuit board configuration for driving the panel shown in FIG. FIG.
In the connection structure shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the scan circuit boards 1 and 2 mounted with a drive circuit for driving the PDP 8 and a drive circuit board 3 mounted with a power supply circuit for supplying power to the drive circuit, The edges are laid close to each other.

The scan circuit board 1 is provided with a voltage input terminal 1a on one side (the back side in FIG. 3) near one end of the drive circuit board 3 for receiving power from the drive circuit mounted on the board. Yes.
The drive circuit board 3 has a voltage for supplying the scan circuit board 1 with a voltage output from the power supply circuit mounted on one side (the back side in the figure) of one end close to the scan circuit board 1. An output terminal 3a is provided.

Then, the voltage input terminal 1a and the voltage output terminal 3a that are close to each other are provided by a flat conductive plate (conduction plate) 5 whose both ends are fixed to the end portions of the circuit boards so as to be in surface contact with these terminals. , Conductive connection.
The conductive plate 5 is fixed to each circuit board by fastening with a screw member 7 as shown in the figure.

Also, a transmission device has been proposed in which, instead of the conductive plate 5, a transmission board or the like with exposed signal layers at both ends is used, and the voltage input terminal 1 a and the voltage output terminal 3 a are pressed and connected to each other ( For example, see Patent Document 1).
As described above, the connection between the scan circuit boards 1 and 2 and the drive circuit board 3 is a surface contact using the conductive plate 5 or the transmission board, so that the change in impedance at the board connection portion is suppressed, and the conductive characteristics. Can be improved.
JP 2003-15540 A

By the way, since the conductive plate 5 that connects the scan circuit boards 1 and 2 and the drive circuit board 3 is long and flat, when it is fixed and crimped to both circuit boards, it is screwed at a predetermined interval. Yes.

However, in such a connection structure between substrates, since the fixed portion by screwing is free, the conductive plate 5 vibrates slightly when a large current for driving the panel passes through the conductive plate 5. It was found that an abnormal sound (billing sound) was generated when hitting the circuit boards 1, 2, and 3.

As an example of the problem to be solved by the present invention, as described above, there is a problem that abnormal noise is generated due to a large current flowing between the conductive plate and the circuit board.

The display device according to claim 1, wherein one end of the first circuit board on which the voltage output terminal is formed and one end of the second circuit board on which the voltage input terminal is formed are arranged close to each other, and A first end joined to the voltage output terminal along one edge of the circuit board; and a second end joined to the voltage input terminal along the one edge of the second circuit board. A display device having a terminal connection structure between substrates in which the voltage output terminal and the voltage input terminal are conductively connected by a conductive plate, wherein the conductive plate is provided at the first end and the second end. A protrusion projecting along the thickness direction of the first end, the surface of the protrusion of the first end and the surface of the voltage output terminal are in surface contact, and the surface of the protrusion of the second end With the voltage input terminal in surface contact with the conductive plate, The first circuit board and the second circuit board are fixed to each other, and a large current for driving the panel passes through the conductive plate, so that the conductive plate slightly vibrates, and other than the protruding portion of the conductive plate. A required gap is provided between the portion other than the projecting portion and the first circuit board and the second circuit board so that the first circuit board and the second circuit board do not contact the part. It is characterized by that.

Hereinafter, embodiments of a display device according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a configuration of a conductive plate for terminal connection between circuit boards in the display device according to the embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5 shows a connection between terminals of two circuit boards using the conductive plate. FIG. 6 is a partially enlarged perspective view showing the relationship between the conductive plate and the two circuit boards, FIG. 7 is a perspective view showing a state in which the conductive plate and one circuit board are connected, and FIG. It is AA arrow sectional drawing.

The display device according to the present embodiment is a plasma display device incorporating a PDP (plasma display panel), and the overall configuration is substantially the same as the overall configuration of the plasma display device shown in FIG.

The display device having the terminal connection structure of the present embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 to 8 has one end of the first circuit board 13 on which the voltage output terminal 13a is formed and the second on which the voltage input terminal 11a is formed. The one end of the circuit board 11 is disposed in close proximity. Then, the first end 15 a joined to the voltage output terminal 13 a along one edge of the first circuit board 13 and the voltage input terminal 11 a joined to one end edge of the second circuit board 11. A terminal connection structure between the substrates in which the voltage output terminal 13a and the voltage input terminal 11a are conductively connected by the conductive plate 15 having the second end portion 15b is provided.
A plurality of projecting portions 17 a and 17 b projecting in the thickness direction of the conductive plate 15 are provided on the first end portion 15 a and the second end portion of the conductive plate 15, respectively.
A necessary gap is provided between the first circuit board 13 and the second circuit board 11 at portions other than the protruding portions 17 a and 17 b in the conductive plate 15.

In this manner, the projecting portions 17a and 17b are provided on the conductive plate 15, and the surface of the projecting portion 17a at the first end and the voltage output terminal 13a are in surface contact with each other, and the projecting portion 17b at the second end is in contact. In a state where the surface and the voltage input terminal 11a are in surface contact, the conductive plate 15, the first circuit board 13, and the second circuit board 11 are fixed by screwing, respectively.
Except for this fixed portion, a necessary gap is left between the first circuit board 13 and the second circuit board 11.

For this reason, even when the conductive plate 15 vibrates minutely due to the large current for driving the panel, the portion of the conductive plate 15 that is not screwed does not hit the circuit boards 11 and 13, and abnormal noise is generated. Can be prevented.

As shown in FIG. 5, the second circuit board 13 is a scan circuit board on which a drive circuit (not shown) for driving the PDP is mounted, and the first circuit board 11 is the second circuit board 13. 2 is a drive circuit board on which a power supply circuit (not shown) for supplying power to the drive circuit is mounted.
As for the 1st circuit board 11, the voltage output terminal 11a is formed in the lower surface of one end part. The second circuit board 13 also has a voltage input terminal 13a formed on the lower surface of one end.

The first circuit board 11 and the second circuit board 13 include one end of the first circuit board 11 on which the voltage output terminal 11a is formed and the second circuit board 13 on which the voltage input terminal 13a is formed. Are arranged in a state in which they are close to each other.

As shown in FIGS. 4 and 6, the conductive plate 15 that electrically connects the voltage output terminal 13a and the voltage input terminal 11a is a long strip-shaped plate, and the first end 15a in the width direction is the first plate 15a. By fixing the second end portion 15b in the width direction to the second circuit board 11 with the screw 7, the voltage output terminal 13a on the lower surface of the first circuit board 13 is fixed to the first circuit board 13 with the screw 7. The voltage input terminal 11a on the lower surface of the second circuit board 11 is conductively connected.

In this case, the first end portion 15a and the second end portion 15b of the elongated conductive plate 15 are provided with table-like projecting portions 17a and 17b by drawing or the like, and the upper surfaces of the projecting portions 17a and 17b. With the screws 7 passed through the screw insertion holes 18 with the protrusions 17a and 17b in surface contact with the terminals 13a and 11a provided on the lower surfaces of the first circuit board 13 and the second circuit board 11, respectively. Fastened to circuit boards 13 and 11.

Whether or not the projecting portions 17a and 17b of the conductive plate 15 are brought into contact with the conductive plate 15 and the circuit board 3 at portions other than the projecting portions 17a and 17b by fastening the circuit boards 13 and 11 with screws 7 A relatively large gap 20 can be positively secured instead of the minute gap (see FIG. 8).

That is, the gap 20 is positively opened except for a portion that conducts by pressing surface contact by screwing. As a result, even if the conductive plate 15 vibrates slightly due to a large current for driving the panel, the portion of the conductive plate 15 that is not screwed (the portion where the gap 20 is secured) hits the circuit boards 11 and 13. No abnormal noise can be reliably prevented.

Moreover, as a method of providing the projecting portions 17a and 17b on the conductive plate 15, a method of drawing a portion other than the portion to be fixed can be adopted, so that it can be easily processed and is easy to realize. is there.
Note that the protrusions 17a and 17b may be provided by forming instead of drawing.

By the way, since the upper surfaces of the protrusions 17a and 17b are brought into surface contact with the terminals 11a and 13a in this way, and only the portions are connected to the circuit boards 11 and 13, the total area of the upper surfaces of the protrusions 17a and 17b is Therefore, it is necessary to set a value that exceeds the area necessary for ensuring conduction.

Note that the display device to which the present invention is applied is not limited to the plasma display device exemplified in the above embodiment.
That is, in the above embodiment, the drive circuit board and the scan circuit board have been described as examples of the first circuit board 11 and the second circuit board 13, but the first circuit board on which the voltage output terminals are formed is described. A terminal connection structure between substrates in which one end and one end of a second circuit board on which voltage input terminals are formed are electrically connected to each other between the circuit boards laid close to each other through a conductive plate. As long as it is an internal display device, it can also be applied to other display panel type display devices such as liquid crystal display panels and organic electroluminescence panels.

As described above in detail, in the display device according to the present embodiment, one end of the first circuit board 13 on which the voltage output terminal 13a is formed and the second circuit board 11 on which the voltage input terminal 11a is formed. And a voltage input terminal along one end edge of the second circuit board 11 and a first end portion 15a joined to the voltage output terminal 13a along one end edge of the first circuit board 13. A display device having a terminal connection structure between substrates in which a voltage output terminal 13a and a voltage input terminal 11a are conductively connected by a conductive plate 15 having a second end 15b bonded to 11a;
Protrusions 17a and 17b projecting along the thickness direction of the conductive plate 15 are provided on the first end 15a and the second end 15b, respectively, and portions other than the projecting parts 17a and 17b and the first circuit board 13 and A required gap is provided between the second circuit board 11 and the second circuit board 11.

By being configured in this way, even if the conductive plate 15 vibrates slightly due to the large current for driving the panel, the portions other than the protruding portions 17a and 17b of the conductive plate 15 are the circuit boards 11 and 13. The occurrence of abnormal sounds can be prevented.
As a result, particularly when used for a television display, it is possible to increase the commercial value of the television display because there is no annoying abnormal sound when viewing.
