一対の脚部は、体内導管をクリップに収容するために脚部と反作用部との間に隙間が形成される第1の開いた状態から、脚部が反作用部と協同して体内導管を把持して体内導管を塞ぐ第2の閉鎖状態へと弾性復元力によって移動することができることを特徴とする外科用クリップが提供される。
好ましくは、クリップの1以上の脚部はクリップの基部からほぼ横方向に外側に向かって延びている。最も好ましくは、クリップは一対の脚部を有し、各脚部は基部から横方向に反対に延びている。基部と反作用部は、一対の脚部の間のほぼ中心に配置されていることが好ましい。
クリップは、弾性材料の薄板を光化学エッチングまたはレーザー切断することによって好適に製造することができる。好適な薄板材料は、合金記号S(ニッケル:約55.8重量%、残部:チタン)として米国カリフォルニア州サンノゼのSMA社(SMA Inc.)(ウェブサイト:www.sma−inc.com)から入手できるアニール酸洗ニチノール扁平板(板厚:800μm)である。このような薄板は、ニチノールの通常の耐久性の範囲において約15℃のAf点を有する。薄板はレーザー切断することが好ましい。産業用レーザーを使用する場合には、このプロセスによって異質な金属がクリップの表面組成に添加されないという利点がある。レーザー切断法は、必要とされる精度を保証するとともに、ニチノールの超弾性に悪影響を与えることがない。
クリップは、主として外科手術の際に体内導管を塞ぐために使用される。ここで、「塞ぐ」とは、体内導管を貫通または切断することなく、体内導管を取り囲み、締めつける動作を意味する。場合によっては、クリップの閉塞効果は可逆的でなければならない。
Claims (20)
- 体内導管を塞ぐための外科用クリップであって、
基部と、
前記基部との接続点からほぼ横方向で互いに反対に延びると共に、両自由端が前記基部よりも前方に配置されるように構成された、弾性を有する一対の脚部と、
前記基部に設けられ、かつ、前記基部からネック領域を介して延びる反作用部と、
を含み、
前記反作用部は前記基部と前記脚部の前記自由端との間に配置されたほぼ前方を向く反作用面を有し、
前記一対の脚部は、前記体内導管を前記クリップに収容するために前記脚部と前記反作用部との間に隙間が形成される第1の開いた状態から、前記脚部が前記反作用部と協同して前記体内導管を把持して前記体内導管を塞ぐ第2の閉じた状態へと弾性復元力によって移動することができることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。 - 請求項1において、前記基部と前記反作用部は、前記一対の脚部の間のほぼ中心に配置されていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1または2において、前記反作用面は前記一対の脚部の移動に対して実質的に固定されていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から3のいずれか1項において、前記反作用面は細長いことを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から4のいずれか1項において、前記反作用面と前記脚部の寸法と配置は、前記クリップの前記閉じた状態において、塞がれた前記体内導管が実質的に幅全体にわたって前記反作用面と接触するように設定されていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか1項において、前記クリップの少なくとも2つの部分はほぼ平らであり、各平面は互いにオフセットされていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から6のいずれか1項において、前記クリップの少なくとも前記基部と前記反作用部はほぼ平らであり、前記基部の平面は前記反作用部の平面に対して小さな角度をなしていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から7のいずれか1項において、前記基部、前記反作用部、前記脚部はほぼ平らであり、前記脚部の平面は前記基部及び前記反作用部の平面に対して小さな角度をなしていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から8のいずれか1項において、前記脚部の一方は前記基部及び前記反作用部の平面のわずかに片側に位置し、前記脚部の他方は前記平面のわずかに反対側に位置し、前記脚部の前記自由端は、前記クリップの前記閉じた状態において前記反作用部の両側に位置することを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から9のいずれか1項において、前記反作用面は、前記クリップの前記閉じた状態において前記反作用面と協同する前記脚部の形状とほぼ相補的となるように形成されていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から10のいずれか1項において、前記反作用面と前記脚部の少なくとも一方には、使用時に前記体内導管に対する前記クリップのグリップを高める表面突起が設けられていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項11において、前記突起は、丸歯、鋭歯、先端部、またはそれらの組み合わせであることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から12のいずれか1項において、前記脚部は、前記クリップの前記反作用部の後方において前記基部との接続点を有する屈曲部を介して前記クリップの前記基部に接続されていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項13において、前記脚部には前記屈曲部の反対方向にさらなる屈曲部が設けられ、前記脚部の前記自由端が前記クリップの前記基部の前方に配置されていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項13または14において、前記屈曲部の間において細長い部分が前記脚部に設けられ、前記クリップが閉じた時に、前記体内導管に接触する前記脚部の一部に梃子効果が生じることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から15のいずれか1項において、前記クリップの前記基部は、前記脚部から離れる方向を向く閉鎖端部と、前記脚部と前記反作用部が前記基部に接続される開放端部とを有する開放ループまたはほぼU字型の部材であることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項16において、前記クリップの前記反作用部は2つに分割されており、各分割部は前記ネック領域を介して前記基部の前記開放端の一方側に接続され、前記クリップの前記反作用面を形成するように相補的に並置されていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から17のいずれか1項において、前記クリップの前記基部には、前記クリップを前記体内導管から取り除くために前記基部を切断することのできる脆い領域または点が設けられていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から18のいずれか1項において、前記クリップは超弾性または擬弾性の形状記憶材料で一体的に形成されていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
- 請求項1から19のいずれか1項において、前記クリップはニチノール金属(ニッケル−チタン合金)の薄板で一体的に形成されていることを特徴とする外科用クリップ。
