Note that the comb-tooth-shaped portion of the contact pattern 77a and the comb-tooth-shaped portion of the contact pattern 77b are formed so that their positions are slightly shifted from each other by 120 ° intervals. Further, at four positions corresponding to the mounting base fixing portion 45 of the case 40 of the first circuit board portion 71, insertion portions 79 made of through holes are formed.

And the connection arm 72 which protrudes from the outer periphery of the 1st circuit board part 71 is strip | belt shape, and the 2nd circuit board part 73 is connected to the front-end | tip. The second circuit board portion 73 has a substantially circular outer shape that is slightly larger than the first circuit board portion 71, and the upper surface 73 a (the lower surface 71 b provided with the sliding contact pattern 75 of the first circuit board portion 71 is defined as the second circuit board portion 73. A central switch 80 is installed at the center of the opposite surface. The central switch 80 includes a contact pattern 80a formed by printing a conductive paste such as silver on the upper surface 73a, and an inversion plate (movable contact plate formed by forming an elastic metal plate attached on the contact pattern 80a into a dome shape. ) 80b (see FIG. 1).

Further, the press switch 78 is formed at a plurality of positions outside the central switch 80 on the upper surface 73a of the second circuit board portion 73 (in this embodiment, four positions at equal intervals (90 ° intervals) on the same circumference). Has been. Each pressing switch 78 has the same configuration as that of the central switch 80, and includes a contact pattern 78a formed on the upper surface 73a of the second circuit board portion 73, and an inversion plate (movable contact plate) 78b attached on the contact pattern 78a. (Refer to FIG. 1). The sliding contact pattern 75 and the contact patterns 78a and 80a are connected to a circuit pattern (not shown) provided on the flexible substrate 70, and a lead-out portion in which a plurality of circuit patterns are drawn from the outer periphery of the second circuit board portion 73. 82.

The mounting base 90 is a substantially circular rigid flat plate made of molded resin, has an outer diameter dimension substantially the same as that of the rotary knob 20, and has a substantially circular opening 91 through which the pressing portion 12 of the push button knob 10 is inserted. A cylindrical protrusion 93 made of a cylindrical protrusion protruding upward is formed around the opening 91 of the upper surface 90a. On the inner side surface of the cylindrical protruding portion 93, a detent 93 a is formed that includes an axially extending protrusion that engages with the detent engaging portion 12 a of the pressing portion 12 of the pushbutton knob 10. On the other hand, at a plurality of positions (four positions in the present embodiment) corresponding to the mounting base fixing portions 45 of the case 40 outside the opening 91, mounting fixing portions 92 made of through holes are provided, and a predetermined outer peripheral portion is provided. Engagement pieces 94 are formed at positions (in the present embodiment, four positions outside the attachment fixing portions 92) that project outwardly in the form of tongues. Small engaging portions 94a are formed on both side surfaces of each engagement piece 94. On the other hand, at predetermined positions between the mounting fixing portions 92 on the lower surface 90b (in this embodiment, four positions (positions that are 45 ° apart from the mounting fixing portions 92) at equal intervals (90 ° intervals)). A pressing portion 95 made of a columnar protrusion protruding downward is formed.

The support member 100 is a metal hard flat plate, and its outer shape is formed in a substantially circular shape having substantially the same dimensions as the mounting base 90. And it is bent upward from the outer peripheral portion at a plurality of positions (four positions at equal intervals (90 ° intervals) in the present embodiment) corresponding to each engagement piece 94 of the mounting base 90. A tongue-like engagement piece mounting portion 101 is provided that is erected substantially vertically. Each engagement piece attachment portion 101 is formed with an engagement piece insertion portion 101a having a rectangular opening for inserting the distal end portion of the engagement piece 94 and attaching the engagement piece 94 thereto.

Next, a method for assembling the multifunctional electronic component 1 will be described. First, the main body 11 of the push button knob 10 is inserted into the opening 22 of the rotary knob 20 from the lower side, and the operation unit 13 is installed with the opening 22 exposed to the upper surface side of the rotary knob 20. Then, the spacer member 15 is interposed between the upper surface of the upper surface portion 41 of the case 40 and the lower surface of the main body portion 21 of the rotary knob 20, and the inner peripheral protruding portion 24 of the rotary knob 20 from above in the opening 42 of the case 40. Is inserted into the upper portion of the case 40. Then, the rotary knob mounting plate 16 and the leaf spring 35 are attached and fixed to the lower end surface of the inner peripheral protruding portion 24 of the rotary knob 20 in this order. At this time, the pressing portion 12 of the push button knob 10 is inserted through the opening 16 a of the rotary knob mounting plate 16 and the opening 36 a of the leaf spring 35. Further, the sliding-type object attachment portion 26 of the rotary knob 20 is inserted into the insertion portion 16b of the rotary knob attachment plate 16 and the insertion portion 36b of the leaf spring 35, and the leaf spring fixing portion 25 is attached to the rotation knob attachment plate 16. The tip of the leaf spring fixing portion 25 protruding to the lower surface side of the leaf spring 35 is fixed by heat caulking through the fixing portion 16c and the attachment fixing portion 36c of the leaf spring 35.

On the other hand, the slider fixing portion 65 of the sliding object 60 is inserted into the mounting fixing portion 66b of the slider 66, and the tip of the slider fixing portion 65 protruding to the lower surface side of the slider 66 is heated. By caulking, the slider 66 is attached within the slider installation portion 69 of the sliding mold 60. Then, the sliding object 60 to which the slider 66 is attached is installed on the lower surface side of the leaf spring 35. At this time, the pressing portion 12 of the push button knob 10 is inserted into the opening 61 of the sliding mold 60, and the shaft portion 26b of the sliding mold mounting portion 26 protruding from the insertion portion 36b to the lower surface side of the leaf spring 35 is inserted. It is inserted into the insertion part 62 of the sliding mold 60. Here, only the shaft portion 26b of the sliding-type object mounting portion 26 is inserted into the insertion portion 62 of the sliding-type object 60, and the thermal fixing of the sliding-type object mounting portion 26 is not performed. The tip of the shaft portion 26b inserted through the projection may be fixed by protruding the bottom surface of the sliding mold 60 and caulking the tip. In that case, the slider 66 is attached to the sliding mold 60 after the heat caulking.

On the other hand, with the first circuit board portion 71 of the flexible circuit board 70 facing the lower surface 71b upward, the cylindrical projecting portion 93 of the mounting base 90 is inserted into the opening 74, and the first circuit board portion 71 is placed on the upper surface 90 a of the mounting base 90. Then, the case 40 is installed on the top of the mounting base 90. At this time, the pressing portion 12 of the push button knob 10 is inserted into the inside of the cylindrical protrusion 93 (inside the opening 91) with the anti-rotation engaging portion 12a engaged with the anti-rotation 93a. A cylindrical protrusion 93 is inserted and arranged between the inner periphery of the opening 61 of the 60 and the outer periphery of the pressing portion 12, and the lower end of the pressing portion 12 is protruded to the lower surface side of the mounting base 90. In this state, the mounting base fixing portion 45 of the case 40 is inserted into the insertion portion 79 of the first circuit board portion 71 and the mounting fixing portion 92 of the mounting base 90, and the mounting base fixing portion protruding to the lower surface side of the mounting base 90. The case 40 is integrally fixed by interposing the first circuit board portion 71 on the upper surface 90a of the mounting base 90 by thermally crimping the tip of 45. As a result, the rotary knob 20 installed at the upper part of the case 40 and the leaf spring 35 and the sliding object 60 installed at the lower part of the case 40 are installed so as to be rotatable integrally with the case 40 above and below the case 40. Is done. At this time, the click elastic contact portion 39 of the leaf spring 35 is elastically engaged with the click engagement portion 47 of the case 40, and the sliding contact 67 of the slider 66 attached to the sliding object 60 is It will be in the state contact | abutted to the sliding contact pattern 75 on the 1st circuit board part 71. FIG.

Further, by folding back the connecting arm 72 of the flexible circuit board 70 from there, the second circuit board portion 73 is arranged on the lower side of the mounting base 90 with the upper surface 73a facing upward. On the lower surface 73b side of the portion 73, the support member 100 is installed in an overlapping manner. At that time, the portion on the tip side of the engaging portion 94a of each engaging piece 94 of the mounting base 90 is inserted into the engaging piece inserting portion 101a of each engaging piece attaching portion 101 of the support member 100, and snap-in engagement is performed. Install by. Accordingly, each pressing portion 95 of the mounting base 90 is placed on the reversing plate 78b of the corresponding pressing switch 78, and in this state, each engagement piece 94 comes into contact with the inner peripheral upper surface of each engagement piece insertion portion 101a. Thus, the mounting base 90 is supported by the support member 100 so as to be swingable. Thus, the assembly of the multifunctional electronic component 1 is completed.

As shown in FIG. 1, the multifunctional electronic component 1 assembled in this way includes a case 40, a rotary knob 20 installed on the top of the case 40, and an opening 22 provided in the center of the rotary knob 20. The push button knob 10 installed on the lower side of the case 40, the sliding mold 60 rotating integrally with the rotary knob 20 installed on the lower part of the case 40, and the sliding contact pattern 75 provided on the first circuit board 71 installed on the mounting base 90. And an electrical function portion 55 composed of a sliding contact 67 of a slider 66 attached to the sliding type object 60, a mounting base 90 on which the case 40 is placed, and a lower side of the mounting base 90. And a support member 100 that is installed and supports the mount 90 in a swingable manner. Further, a central switch 80 disposed at a position facing the pressing portion 12 provided on the push button knob 10 on the second circuit board portion 73 installed on the support member 100, and a mounting base 90 on the second circuit board portion 73. And a pressing switch 78 disposed at a position facing the pressing portion 95 provided on the lower surface 90b.

Next, the operation of the multifunctional electronic component 1 will be described. First, the leaf spring 35 and the sliding mold 60 are rotated together with the rotary knob 20 by rotating the operating portion 23 of the rotary knob 20 with a finger or the like. As a result, the click elastic contact portion 39 of the leaf spring 35 is elastically engaged with the click engagement portion 47 of the case 40 to produce a click feeling, and the sliding contact 67 of the slider 66 attached to the sliding mold 60 is obtained. Slidably contacts on the sliding contact pattern 75, and the electrical output of the sliding contact pattern 75 changes. At this time, the sliding brush 67a outside the sliding contact 67 of any one of the three sets of sliding contacts 67 (see FIG. 8) is always in sliding contact with the common pattern 76 (see FIG. 9). The sliding brushes 67b and 67c are in sliding contact with the contact patterns 77a and 77b (see FIG. 9) to turn them on and off. As described above, the comb-like portions of the contact patterns 77a and 77b are larger than the interval of 120 °. Since it is provided at a slightly deviated position, the timing at which one of the sliding contacts 67 slides on one of the contact patterns 77a or 77b and turns it on, and the other sliding contact 67 is the other contact pattern. Since the phase of the timing of turning on the slidable contact with 77b or 77a is slightly shifted, the phase of the on / off signal output from both contact patterns 77a and 77b is slightly shifted. Thereby, for example, it is possible to detect whether the slider 66 is rotating in the left or right direction.

On the other hand, when the operation unit 13 of the push button knob 10 is pressed, the push button knob 10 is lowered and the pressing unit 12 presses the reverse plate 80b of the central switch 80 to reverse it, and the central switch 80 is turned on. When the push on the push button knob 10 is released, the central switch 80 is turned off by the restoring force of the reversing plate 80b. On the other hand, when a portion corresponding to any of the four pressing portions 95 of the mounting base 90 of the operation portion 23 of the rotary knob 20 is pressed, the case 40, the sliding object 60, the push button knob 10, etc. are attached. Each component installed on the base 90 is tilted and swings in the direction of being pressed integrally with the mounting base 90, and the pressing portion 95 on the lowered side presses the reversing plate 78b of the pressing switch 78 facing it. The pressure switch 78 is turned on by reversing. When the force that swings the rotary knob 20 is released, the components on the rotary knob 20 and the mounting base 90 are automatically returned to their original positions by the return force of the reversing plate 78b. Turn off.

When the multifunctional electronic component 1 is installed and used in a portable terminal device or the like, a predetermined operation content is sequentially displayed on the display unit of the portable terminal device by rotating the rotary knob 20 as an example. Any one of the displayed operation contents can be selected by an operation of swinging the knob 20, and the selected operation contents can be confirmed by an operation of pressing the push button knob 10.
