【0001】

Typically, in the manufacturing process of the electrical connector, in the state shown in FIG. However, there is a problem of so-called flux increase.
That is, when the
[0004]
This invention is made | formed in view of the said subject, and it aims at providing the electrical connector which can prevent generation | occurrence | production of the contact failure by a flux rise reliably.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, an invention according to
[0006]
In the present invention, since the edge between the mounting surface and the intermediate surface is cut by the partition groove, the flux spreading on the back surface of the substrate in the conveyor furnace of the automatic soldering apparatus temporarily passes through the engaging tool insertion hole. Even if it reaches the mounting surface, it will accumulate in the partition groove and will not be transmitted to the intermediate surface. Therefore, it is possible to reliably prevent the contact failure of the terminals from occurring due to the effect of flux increase.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect of the present invention, the housing has a connection recess for connecting a pair of electrical connectors on the connection side end surface which is the back surface of the opposing surface, and the terminal is in the lateral direction. The protruding portion is housed in the connecting recess through the terminal holding hole from the facing surface side of the housing, and a contact portion is provided on the top thereof. .
[0007]
In this case, the terminal holding hole needs to pass through the protruding portion of the terminal when the terminal is mounted on the housing. For this reason, a terminal holding hole becomes large at least about the direction in which a protrusion part protrudes. Therefore, in the unlikely event that the flux reaches the intermediate surface, this tends to reach the contact portion of the terminal, but in the present invention, it is possible to reliably prevent the flux itself from reaching the intermediate surface, Even in this type of electrical connector, it is possible to reliably prevent the flux from rising to the contact portion.
[0008]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect of the present invention, the mounting surface is provided with an open groove that opens the peripheral portion of the locking tool to at least the opposite side of the intermediate surface. In the present invention, in the conveyor furnace of the automatic soldering apparatus, even if the flux spreading to the back surface of the substrate reaches the mounting surface through the engaging tool insertion hole, this flux is passed through the open groove to the intermediate surface. Can be urged to the other side. As a result, it is possible to more reliably prevent the occurrence of terminal contact failure due to flux increase.
[0009]
A fourth aspect of the present invention is characterized in that, in the first, second, or third aspect, the sum of the depth and width of the partition groove is 3 mm or more. The inventor of the present application recognizes that what corresponds to the so-called edge distance is important in order to prevent the flux that enters the partition groove through the mounting surface from reaching the intermediate surface. If it was above, the knowledge that a remarkable effect was acquired was acquired.
