Description
The present invention relates to an ultrasonic transmitter / receiver used for transmitting / receiving ultrasonic waves.
Ultrasonic transceivers are used in various fields. A clamp-on type ultrasonic flowmeter as an example is mounted on a part of the outer peripheral surface of a tubular body, and measures the flow rate of fluid moving inside the tubular body from the outside of the tubular body. . This clamp-on type ultrasonic flowmeter can be further classified into a propagation time difference type and a Doppler type.
The propagation time difference formula reciprocates the ultrasonic wave in a path that crosses the fluid moving inside the tubular body diagonally, and the difference in time required for the ultrasonic wave to propagate in each of the forward path and the return path This is a method for measuring the flow rate.
The Doppler method is a method of measuring the flow rate of fluid from the moving speed of suspended particles, etc., assuming that suspended particles and bubbles contained in the fluid move at the same speed as the fluid. The moving speed of the suspended particles or the like is measured by detecting the frequency of the ultrasonic waves by transmitting ultrasonic waves into the fluid and changing the frequency of the ultrasonic waves reflected by the suspended particles or the like due to the Doppler effect.
As a prior art of an ultrasonic transmitter / receiver used in such an ultrasonic flow meter, for example, there is one disclosed in Patent Document 1 (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2001-330485, famous place “Ultrasonic Flow Meter”). The ultrasonic transceiver used for this ultrasonic flowmeter will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 5 is an explanatory diagram for explaining a conventional ultrasonic transceiver. As shown in FIG. 5, the ultrasonic transceiver 100 includes a
The
The conventional ultrasonic transceiver 100 is configured in this manner.
It has been found that the conventional ultrasonic transmitter / receiver has a problem due to a naturally occurring voltage in the course of research and testing by the present inventors. This point will be described. When a force is applied to the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver or a temperature difference occurs in the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver over time, a voltage is generated according to the temperature change amount and the force.
A method for calculating the output voltage when an external force is applied will be described. The amount of charge Q generated when the force F is applied to the ultrasonic transducer is expressed by the following equation.
Q=Cd×V=F×d33
[Equation 1]
Q = C d × V = F × d 33
d 33 : equivalent voltage constant [m / V]
C d : Capacitance [F] of the ultrasonic transducer
The output voltage V at this time is represented by the following equation.
V=F×(d33/Cd)=F×g33×L/A
[Equation 2]
V = F × (d 33 / C d ) = F × g 33 × L / A
g 33 : Voltage output coefficient [m / N]
L: Length of ultrasonic transducer A: Area of ultrasonic transducer
Further, when the temperature changes, the apparent force F changes due to the change in the length L due to the expansion and contraction of the ultrasonic vibrator, and a voltage is generated.
As described above, a voltage is generated when an external force is applied to the ultrasonic transducer or a temperature difference is generated. In particular, when the transducer is not connected to the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver and left for a long period of time, the generated voltage continues to be stored and may reach a high voltage of, for example, 1 KV. When the transducer is connected to the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver under such circumstances, a high voltage of 1 KV is input to the transducer due to the discharge from the ultrasonic transducer, and the conversion element built in the transducer is destroyed. There was a risk.
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and its purpose is to discharge the generated voltage of the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver even in an environment where a temperature change or an excessive force is applied, and to convert the inside of the converter. It is an object of the present invention to provide an ultrasonic transmitter / receiver that protects the device from destruction.

Next, the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional structure diagram of an ultrasonic transceiver according to this embodiment. FIG. 2 is a circuit diagram of a discharge system circuit.
An ultrasonic transmitter / receiver 10 of this embodiment as shown in FIG. 1 includes a

The backing material 4 has a function of absorbing unnecessary ultrasonic vibration, and is filled in a space surrounded by the
There are two
The
The
In the ultrasonic transceiver 10 according to this embodiment, a force is applied to the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver 10 or a temperature difference is generated in the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver 10 as time elapses. Even if a voltage is generated, since the generated voltage is consumed and discharged by the
Next, another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional structure diagram of another form of ultrasonic transceiver. FIG. 4 is a circuit diagram of a discharge system circuit, FIG. 4 (a) is a circuit diagram before connection of a terminal (connector), and FIG. 4 (b) is a circuit diagram after connection of a terminal (connector).
An ultrasonic transmitter / receiver 10 ′ of this embodiment as shown in FIG. 3 includes a
The
The
The
In the ultrasonic transmitter / receiver 10 ′ according to the present embodiment, when the counterpart connector portion on the converter side is not connected, as shown in the equivalent circuit of FIG. Is connected to the
