Description
CaSO4+2H2O → H2SO4+Ca(OH)2
W=湯洗浄に使用する水量(m3)÷活性炭量(kg)÷活性炭充填密度(kg/m3)で表される数値である。縦軸は、活性炭処理水のpH値である。逆洗浄、湯殺菌を行った後、通水を行う。湯殺菌直後は、酸の溶出量が酸の吸着量よりも大きいため、pH値は低下していくが、その後は、逆に酸の吸着量のほうが大きくなりpH値が上がっていき、酸の吸着が平衡に達し、pHは安定化する。処理水の使用可能なpH値の範囲を6〜8とすれば、一般的なpH調整を行った活性炭の場合は、安定領域に入るまでのかなりの通水倍量が必要である。本発明の場合は、原水の水質に適したpH調整を行っており、加水乖離吸着が抑制されるため、処理水のpH変動を早期に抑制できる。従って、図3に示すように、早期にpH値が安定領域に入る。

Claims (1)
- 活性炭が使用される原水のアニオン濃度を分析する工程と、
分析結果に基づいて、活性炭を酸洗浄する酸溶液として、原水に含まれるアニオンの酸が所定レベル以上含まれる混合液と、硫酸ナトリウム(NaNO 3 )あるいは硝酸カリウム(KNO 3 )の混合液を作製する工程と、
作製された酸溶液を用いて、加水乖離吸着により生じる酸を活性炭に予め吸着させることによってpHを調整する工程と、を有することを特徴とする活性炭のpH調整方法。
