【0028】
また、有機リチウム塩としてはLiCF3SO3等の有機スルホン酸塩、LiN(CF3SO2)2、LiN(C2F5SO2)2、LiN(CF3SO2)(C4F9SO2)等のパーフルオロアルキルスルホン酸イミド塩、LiC(CF3SO2)3等のパーフルオロアルキルスルホン酸メチド塩、Li[PF5(CF2CF2CF3)]、Li[PF4(CF2CF2CF3)2]、Li[PF3(CF2CF2CF3)3]、Li[PF5(CF2CF2CF2CF3)]、Li[PF4(CF2CF2CF2CF3)2]及びLi[PF3(CF2CF2CF2CF3)3]、LiBF2(CF3)2、LiBF3(CF3)等の無機フッ化物塩の一部のフッ素をパーフルオロアルキル基で置換した塩、LiB(CF3COO)4、LiB(OCOCF2COO)2、LiB(OCOC2F4COO)2等のリチウムテトラキス(パーフルオロカルボキシレート)ボレート塩などが挙げられる。これらのうち、LiCF3SO3、LiN(CF3SO2)2、LiN(C2F5SO2)2、LiN(CF3SO2)(C4F9SO2)、LiC(CF3SO2)3、LiPF3(CF3)3、LiPF3(C2F5)3、LiBF2(C2F5)2、LiB(OCOCF2COO)2が好ましく、LiCF3SO3、LiN(CF3SO2)2、LiN(C2F5SO2)2、LiN(CF3SO2)(C4F9SO2)、LiC(CF3SO2)3が更に好ましい。

Specifically, in the case of a secondary battery, a non-aqueous electrolyte excellent in continuous charge characteristics, The present invention relates to a non-aqueous electrolyte battery using this non-aqueous electrolyte.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, non-aqueous electrolyte lithium batteries with high energy density have attracted attention with the reduction in weight and size of electrical products, and in the fields of information-related equipment and communication equipment such as personal computers, video cameras, and mobile phones, Studies are underway to develop various applications such as large batteries. And in such examination, the improvement of high temperature storage property and the improvement of cycle characteristics in the case of a secondary battery are desired. Particularly in applications such as personal computers, continuous charging characteristics are required to be improved because they are always used with the power on.
[0003]
Conventionally, the following is known as an electrolyte of such a non-aqueous electrolyte lithium battery.
[0004]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 9-12037 discloses an electrolyte in a non-aqueous solvent containing ethylene carbonate and a specific glycol sulfite (= ethylene sulfite), and the proportion of the glycol sulfite is 0.05 to 10% by volume. In addition, as a non-aqueous solvent, it is described that a chain ester such as DME, 2-MeTHF, DMC, MEC, DEC, methyl propionate, ethyl propionate, and methyl butyrate is mixed.
[0005]
However, in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-120837, LiPF is used as the electrolyte.6, LiBFFourIn such a system, although the effect of improving the cycle characteristics is obtained to some extent, it is still insufficient, and the high-temperature storage stability and continuous charge / discharge characteristics are still insufficient.
[0006]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-121032 discloses a lithium secondary battery using a nonaqueous electrolytic solution composed of an organic solvent containing ethylene sulfite and vinylene carbonate and an electrolyte. And as an electrolyte, LiClOFour, LiPF6, LiBFFourInorganic lithium salt selected from or LiCFThreeSOThree, LiN (CFThreeSO2)2, LiN (C2FFiveSO2)2, LiN (CFThreeSO2) (CFourF9SO2), LiC (CFThreeSO2)ThreeThe organic lithium salt chosen from is mentioned. As the third solvent component, cyclic carbonates such as ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate, and chain carbonates such as dimethyl carbonate, diethyl carbonate, and ethyl methyl carbonate are described.
[0007]
However, in the non-aqueous electrolyte disclosed in JP-A-11-121032, the lithium salt specifically used is LiPF.6Although it is only single and the improvement effect of cycling characteristics is acquired, it is inadequate at the point of continuous charge / discharge property.
[0008]
JP 2002-184462 discloses a non-aqueous electrolyte comprising a non-aqueous solvent and an electrolyte dissolved in the non-aqueous solvent, wherein the non-aqueous solvent is 20 to 50% by volume of ethylene carbonate and 40 to 80 vol. % Mixed solvent containing γ-butyrolactone, at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of ethylene sulfite, phenylethylene carbonate, 2-methylfuran, furan, thiophene, catechol carbonate and vinyl ethylene carbonate, and propylene carbonate , Vinylene carbonate, diethyl carbonate, dimethyl carbonate, ethyl methyl carbonate, γ-valerolactone, at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of methyl propionate and ethyl propionate, and the proportion of the third solvent is 5% by weight Less than A non-aqueous electrolyte in which the proportion of propylene carbonate is less than 2% by volume is disclosed. And as an electrolyte, LiClOFour, LiPF6, LiBFFour, LiAsF6, LiCFSOThree, LiN (CFThreeSO2)2And LiN (C2FFiveSO2)2The lithium salt chosen from the group which consists of is mentioned. Furthermore, LiN (CFThreeSO2)2And LiN (C2FFiveSO2)2An imide salt comprising at least one of LiPF and LiPF6And LiBFFourIt is described that the cycle life at a high temperature can be further improved by using a mixed salt with a salt comprising at least one of the above.
[0009]
However, in the non-aqueous electrolyte solution disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-184462, even when the above-mentioned third solvent contains a chain carbonate in the non-aqueous electrolyte, it is 5% by weight with respect to the whole non-aqueous solvent. Although it has stopped to the following and the improvement effect of cycling characteristics is acquired, it is inadequate in terms of continuous chargeability.
[0010]
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2002-33119 discloses a solution in which a supporting electrolyte having lithium as a cation is dissolved in a solvent composed of a plurality of cyclic compounds.6Or LiBFFourLiN (CFThreeSO2)2Or LiN (C2FFiveSO2)2And a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery in combination. Moreover, as a solvent, cyclic ester, cyclic carbonate ester, cyclic carboxylic acid ester, cyclic phosphate ester, cyclic phosphite ester, cyclic borate ester, cyclic sulfate ester, cyclic sulfite ester, cyclic nitrate ester, cyclic nitrite ester, Cyclic silicate esters are mentioned. And propane sultone is illustrated as cyclic sulfite ester.
[0011]
However, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-33119 is insufficient in terms of continuous chargeability, although an effect of improving high-temperature storage by suppressing alkoxide radical generation can be obtained.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, conventional non-aqueous electrolytes are insufficient in terms of high-temperature storage stability and continuous charge characteristics in the case of secondary batteries, and improvements are desired.
[0016]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described conventional situation, and in the case of a secondary battery, a non-aqueous electrolyte excellent in continuous charge characteristics and a non-aqueous electrolyte using this non-aqueous electrolyte. An object is to provide an electrolyte battery.
[0017]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The non-aqueous electrolyte of the present invention is a non-aqueous electrolyte for a non-aqueous electrolyte battery obtained by dissolving a lithium salt in a non-aqueous solvent. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains an inorganic lithium salt and an organic lithium salt as the lithium salt. Contains 10% by volume or more of chain carbonate and contains ethylene sulfiteA non-aqueous electrolytic solution comprising an inorganic lithium salt in an amount of 0.3 mol / liter to 2 mol / liter and an organic lithium salt in an amount of 0.01 wt% to 8 wt% in the electrolytic solution. Hereinafter, 5% by weight or less of ethylene sulfite is contained in the electrolytic solution, and each of the chain carbonate and the cyclic carbonate is contained in 10% by volume or more in the non-aqueous solvent, and the chain carbonate and the cyclic carbonate in the non-aqueous solvent are contained. The total content is 65% by volume or moreIt is characterized by(However, LiPF is added to a solvent in which ethylene carbonate, vinylene carbonate, and methyl ethyl carbonate are mixed at a volume ratio of 28: 2: 70. 6 0.9 mol / liter, and LiN (SO 2 CF 3 ) 2 Is dissolved to a concentration of 0.1 mol / liter, and the nonaqueous electrolytic solution to which 2% by weight of adiponitrile and 2% by weight of ethylene sulfite are added is removed. ).
[0018]
That is, in view of the above-described conventional situation, the present inventors conducted extensive studies to obtain a non-aqueous electrolyte with improved high-temperature storage stability and, in the case of a secondary battery, continuous charge characteristics. By using an inorganic lithium salt and an organic lithium salt in combination, and using a non-aqueous solvent containing a chain carbonate at a specific ratio or more with respect to the non-aqueous solvent, and further adding ethylene sulfite, the above problem The present invention has been completed.
[0019]
The non-aqueous electrolyte battery of the present invention comprises such a non-aqueous electrolyte of the present invention and lithium.Made of materials that can be stored and releasedIn addition, the battery is provided with a positive electrode and a negative electrode and is excellent in high-temperature storage stability and, in the case of a secondary battery, continuous charging characteristics.
[0020]
Although the details of the reason why the nonaqueous electrolytic solution of the present invention is excellent in high-temperature storage stability and continuous charge characteristics are not clear, it is estimated as follows.
[0021]
By adding ethylene sulfite to the electrolytic solution, a solid electrolyte interface (SEI: Solid Electrolyte Interface) with high thermal stability can be formed on both the positive electrode and the negative electrode. This SEI can be further improved in stability by using an inorganic lithium salt and an organic lithium salt in combination. Therefore, compared with the case where ethylene sulfite is used alone, a system using ethylene sulfite, an inorganic lithium salt and an organic lithium salt in combination is superior in high-temperature storage stability. In the case of a secondary battery, it is considered that this SEI has an action of preventing elution of transition metal from the positive electrode caused by continuous charging and suppressing deterioration of the positive electrode. Therefore, continuous chargeability is also improved. This action is characteristic of ethylene sulfite, and succinic anhydride known as a negative electrode SEI forming agent does not improve continuous chargeability, although SEI having high thermal stability is formed. It is considered that the tetravalent sulfur atom of ethylene sulfite is useful for improving the performance for continuous chargeability.
[0022]
On the other hand, when chain carbonate is contained in the non-aqueous electrolyte, the wettability with respect to the electrode is improved, the utilization factor of the electrode is made uniform, and local damage to the electrode can be reduced. In addition, when chain carbonate is contained, it can be coordinated particularly to the active point of the positive electrode to suppress gas generation. Due to the effect of the chain carbonate, the discharge characteristics are excellent, and the gas generated during high temperature storage or continuous charging can be suppressed to improve the battery characteristics. For this purpose, the chain carbonate needs to have a sufficient amount to improve the wettability of the electrode and to be coordinated with the active site. Can not demonstrate. As described in JP-A-2002-33119, a system containing no chain carbonate, or as disclosed in JP-A-2002-184462, 5% by weight or less (4.7% by volume or less as dimethyl carbonate, With a content of 5.1% by volume or less as diethyl carbonate), the above-mentioned effect cannot be obtained by using an inorganic lithium salt and an organic lithium salt in combination and using ethylene sulfite.
[0023]

[0034]
Among these non-aqueous solvents, a cyclic carbonate which is an alkylene carbonate having 2 to 4 carbon atoms of an alkylene group, preferably ethylene carbonate and / or propylene carbonate is contained in an amount of 10% by volume or more based on the non-aqueous solvent. From the viewpoint of the dissociation degree, it is more preferable to contain 20% by volume or more. In this case, the total content of the chain carbonate and cyclic carbonate in the non-aqueous solvent is 65% by volume or more, more preferably 75% by volume or more, and particularly preferably 85% by volume or more. It is preferable from the viewpoint of enhancing other battery performance such as charge / discharge characteristics of the liquid battery and battery life.
[0035]

The crystallite size (Lc) determined by X-ray diffraction by the Gakushin method is preferably 30 nm or more, particularly 50 nm or more, particularly 100 nm or more.
[0047]
The median diameter of the graphite material is a median diameter measured by a laser diffraction / scattering method, and is usually 1 to 100 μm, preferably 3 to 50 μm, particularly 5 to 40 μm, and particularly preferably 7 to 30 μm. The BET specific surface area of graphite material is usually 0.5-25.0m2/ G, 0.7-20.0 m2/ G, especially 1.0-15.0m2/ G, especially 1.5-10.0m2/ G is preferable. In the Raman spectrum analysis using argon ion laser light, the wavelength is 1580 to 1620 cm.-1Peak PA (peak intensity IA) and wavelength 1350-1370 cm-1The intensity ratio R = IB / IA of the peak PB (peak intensity IB) in the range of 0 to 0.5 is preferable, and the wavelength is 1580 to 1620 cm.-1The half width of the peak in the range is 26cm-1Below, especially 25cm-1The following are preferred.
[0048]
What is necessary is just to produce a positive electrode and a negative electrode by a conventional method. For example, it is prepared by adding a binder, a thickener, a conductive material, a solvent or the like to the active material for each electrode as necessary to form a slurry, applying the slurry to a current collector substrate, and drying. be able to. Further, the active material can be roll-formed as it is to obtain a sheet electrode, or a pellet electrode by compression molding.
[0049]
As the binder, any material can be used as long as it is a material that is stable with respect to the solvent and the electrolytic solution used during electrode production. Examples thereof include polyvinylidene fluoride, polytetrafluoroethylene, styrene / butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber and butadiene rubber.
[0050]
Examples of the thickener include carboxymethylcellulose, methylcellulose, hydroxymethylcellulose, ethylcellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, oxidized starch, phosphorylated starch, and casein.
[0051]
Examples of the conductive material include metal materials such as copper and nickel, and carbonaceous materials such as graphite and carbon black.
[0052]
As the current collector used for the positive electrode and the negative electrode, any commonly used current collector can be used. As the current collector for the positive electrode, a metal such as aluminum, titanium or tantalum, or an alloy thereof, particularly aluminum or an alloy thereof is preferable because of its light weight. As the negative electrode current collector, a metal or alloy such as copper, nickel, stainless steel, or the like can be used. Copper is preferable from the viewpoint of easy processing into a thin film and cost.
[0053]
In a battery, a separator is usually interposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The material and shape of the separator used in the battery of the present invention may be selected from materials that are stable with respect to the electrolytic solution and have excellent liquid retention properties. Examples of the material include polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene, polyimide, Aromatic polyamide, polyester, etc. are mentioned. In particular, it is preferable to use a porous sheet or nonwoven fabric made of polyethylene or polypropylene. Further, not only a single layer type of polyethylene and polypropylene, but also a two-layer type or a three-layer type in which polyethylene and polypropylene are laminated can be preferably used.
[0054]
The shape of the nonaqueous electrolyte battery of the present invention is arbitrary, for example, a cylinder type or prism type in which a sheet electrode and a separator are spiraled, a cylinder type having an inside-out structure in which a pellet electrode and a separator are combined, a pellet electrode and a separator The pin type of the inside-out structure which combined these, the coin type which laminated | stacked the pellet electrode and the separator, etc. are mentioned. The outer can material is also arbitrary, and nickel-plated steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum laminate material, etc. are used.
[0055]
【Example】
EXAMPLES Hereinafter, the present invention will be described more specifically with reference to examples and comparative examples. However, the present invention is not limited to these examples unless it exceeds the gist.
[0056]
In the following examples and comparative examples, a method for producing a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a battery, and a method for evaluating the produced battery are as follows.
[0057]
[Production of positive electrode]
LiCoO as positive electrode active material23 parts by weight of carbon black was mixed with 91 parts by weight, and 6 parts by weight of a fluororesin-based aqueous dispersion was added thereto as a solid and kneaded to form a slurry. This slurry-like mixture was uniformly applied to both surfaces of an aluminum foil as a positive electrode current collector, then passed through a drier and dried, and then rolled with a roll press to obtain a positive electrode plate.
[0058]
[Production of negative electrode]
As negative electrode active material, d value of lattice plane (002 plane) in X-ray diffraction is 0.336 nm, crystallite size (Lc) is 100 nm or more (652 nm), ash content is 0.07% by weight, median by laser diffraction / scattering method Diameter 12μm, BET specific surface area 7.5m2/ G, wavelength 1580-1620 cm in Raman spectrum analysis using argon ion laser light-1Peak PA (peak intensity IA) and wavelength 1350-1370 cm-1Intensity ratio R = IB / IA of peak PB (peak intensity IB) in the range of 0.12, wavelength 1580 to 1620 cm-1The full width at half maximum of the peak in the range of 19.9 cm-13 parts by weight of an aqueous dispersion of styrene butadiene rubber was added to 97 parts by weight of natural graphite powder (NG-7, manufactured by Kansai Thermal Chemical Co., Ltd.) as a solid to form a slurry. This slurry-like mixture was uniformly applied to both surfaces of a copper foil as a negative electrode current collector, passed through a drier and dried, and then rolled with a roll press to obtain a negative electrode plate.
[0059]
[Production of battery]
The negative electrode plate and the positive electrode plate produced as described above were stacked and wound together with a separator made of a polyethylene microporous film so as not to be in direct contact, and the outermost periphery was stopped with a tape to obtain a spiral electrode body. Next, as shown in FIG. 1, after insulating
[0060]
[Battery evaluation (continuous charging characteristics)]
The prepared battery was charged / discharged at 4.2V-3V at 25 ° C for 3 cycles and then subjected to a 4.25V continuous application test at 60 ° C. In this test, when a large amount of gas is generated, the current interrupting device 8 in FIG. 1 is activated and charging is stopped. A battery system having a long period until the stop is a battery that generates less gas and can be used for a longer period, that is, a battery having excellent continuous charge characteristics.
[0061]
Example 1
Under a dry argon atmosphere, a well-dried lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF) in a mixed solvent of purified ethylene carbonate (EC) and ethyl methyl carbonate (EMC) in a volume ratio of 3: 7.6) Is dissolved to a concentration of 1.2 mol / liter, and then LiN (CFThreeSO2)2Was added in an amount of 2 wt% and ethylene sulfite (ES) at a ratio of 1 wt% to prepare an electrolytic solution. Using this electrolytic solution, the cylindrical battery shown in FIG. 1 was prepared, and the continuous charge characteristics were evaluated. The results are shown in Table 1.
[0062]
(Comparative Example 1)
In Example 1, LiN (CFThreeSO2)2A battery was produced in the same manner as in Example 1 except that was not used, and evaluated in the same manner. The results are shown in Table 1.
[0063]
(Comparative Example 2)
A battery was produced in the same manner as in Example 1 except that ethylene sulfite was not used in Example 1, and the evaluation was performed in the same manner. The results are shown in Table 1.
[0064]
[Table 1]
[0065]
As is apparent from Table 1, an inorganic lithium salt and an organic lithium salt are used in combination as the lithium salt, 10% by volume or more of a chain carbonate is added to the nonaqueous solvent, and ethylene sulfite is added. Thus, the non-aqueous electrolyte battery that can suppress the generation of gas when continuously charged and can be used for a longer period of time, that is, has excellent continuous charging characteristics is provided.
[0066]
