Claims (12)
- エレクトロクロミックデバイスを駆動するためのプロセスであって、
前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスを脱色又は発色させるために、初期の時点では任意の温度で前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスにとって無害な電圧振幅を有する駆動信号を印加するステップと、
前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスに印加される駆動信号の第1の電圧振幅を測定するステップと、
前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスに印加される駆動信号の第2の電圧振幅を測定するステップと、
前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスに印加される駆動信号の第1の電流振幅を測定するステップと、
前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスに印加される駆動信号の第2の電流振幅を測定するステップと、
前記第1の電圧振幅と前記第2の電圧振幅との間の電圧振幅差を決定するステップと、
前記第1の電流振幅と前記第2の電流振幅との間の電流振幅差を決定するステップと、
前記電圧振幅差及び前記電流振幅差から、第1の抵抗を決定するステップと、
前記第1の抵抗から、エレクトロクロミックデバイスの温度変化に伴って変化しないエレクトロクロミックデバイスの静的な抵抗である第3の抵抗を差し引くことにより、第2の抵抗を決定するステップと、
前記第2の抵抗から推測される現在の温度でエレクトロクロミックデバイスにとって無害な最大振幅に対し、前記第1及び第2の電圧振幅を調整するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とするプロセス。 - 脱色又は発色するために、第1又は第2の表示信号を受信すると、前記プロセスが繰り返されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記駆動信号は、短期間の間に、逆の極性を有し、
極性が逆にされない時及び逆にされる時に、前記第1及び第2の電圧振幅が測定され、
極性が逆にされない時及び逆にされる時に、前記第1及び第2の電流振幅が測定されること、
を特徴とする請求項2に記載のプロセス。 - 駆動信号の極性がほぼ周期的に逆にされることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のプロセス。
- 前記第1の電圧振幅は、幾つかの設定された振幅のうちの任意の1つに等しくても良く、設定された各振幅は、エレクトロクロミックデバイスの特定の温度範囲内でエレクトロクロミックデバイスにとって無害であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のプロセス。
- 前記第2の電圧振幅は、幾つかの設定された振幅のうちの任意の1つに等しくても良く、設定された各振幅は、エレクトロクロミックデバイスの複数の温度範囲のうちの1つの温度範囲内でエレクトロクロミックデバイスにとって無害であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のプロセス。
- 前記複数の温度範囲が少なくとも3つの温度範囲であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のプロセス。
- 前記複数の温度範囲は、必ずしも互いに重なり合っていないことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のプロセス。
- 前記第1及び第2の電圧振幅がプラス又はマイナスの値であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のプロセス。
- 前記第1の電圧振幅は、任意の温度でエレクトロクロミックデバイスにとって無害な振幅であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のプロセス。
- 前記第2の電圧振幅は、任意の温度でエレクトロクロミックデバイスにとって無害な振幅であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のプロセス。
- 前記任意の温度は、エレクトロクロミックデバイスの作動温度範囲であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のプロセス。
