Claims (11)
- 互いに隣接する繰返し単位中の複数の同一の検出ブロックを含むマイクロアレイ基板であって、各々の検出ブロックは、同一に配置された判別可能なプローブを含有する特徴の組を含む、前記マイクロアレイ基板、
検出ブロックを明確に識別するための少なくとも1つの信号であって、各特徴が前記少なくとも1つの信号に対して確認可能な位置を有する、前記信号、及び、
形状を有し、かつ検出ブロックよりも大きい、少なくとも第1の区画及び第2の区画を前記基板上に規定する物理的な障壁であって、各区画は、(1)各判別可能なプローブを含有する特徴の組の少なくとも1つであって、各区画中の特徴は少なくとも2つの判別可能なプローブを含有する特徴の組の員である、前記特徴と、(2)前記検出ブロックを明確に識別するための少なくとも1つの信号とを含み、前記少なくとも第1の区画と第2の区画とは互いに流体連通状態にない、前記物理的な障壁、を含むことを特徴とするマイクロアレイ。 - 前記プローブがポリヌクレオチドである請求項1に記載のマイクロアレイ。

前記基板上に、形状を有し、かつ検出ブロックよりも大きい、少なくとも第1の区画及び第2の区画を規定する物理的な障壁を位置決めする工程であって、各区画は、各判別可能なプローブを含有する特徴の組の少なくとも1つであって、各区画中の特徴は少なくとも2つの判別可能なプローブを含有する特徴の組の員である、前記特徴と、前記検出ブロックを明確に識別するための少なくとも1つの信号とを含み、前記少なくとも第1の区画と第2の区画とは互いに流体連通状態にない、前記工程と、

互いに隣接する繰返し単位中の複数の同一の検出ブロックを含むマイクロアレイ基板を提供する工程であって、各々の検出ブロックは、同一に配置された判別可能なプローブを含有する特徴の組を含む、前記工程と、
検出ブロックを明確に識別するための少なくとも1つの信号を提供する工程であって、各特徴が前記少なくとも1つの信号に対して確認可能な位置を有する、前記工程と、
前記基板上に、形状を有し、かつ検出ブロックよりも大きい、少なくとも第1の区画及び第2の区画を規定する物理的な障壁を位置決めする工程であって、各区画は、各判別可能なプローブを含有する特徴の組の少なくとも1つであって、各区画中の特徴は少なくとも2つの判別可能なプローブを含有する特徴の組の員である、前記特徴と、前記検出ブロックを明確に識別するための少なくとも1つの信号とを含み、前記少なくとも第1の区画と第2の区画とは互いに流体連通状態にない、前記工程と、
試料を前記区画に配置する工程と、
ハイブリダイゼーション実験を行う工程と、
前記ハイブリダイゼーション実験からデータを取得する工程と、
前記ハイブリダイゼーション実験からのデータから、特徴の完全な組を含む仮想検出ブロックを構成する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 単一マイクロアレイ上で複数の試料に対して複数のハイブリダイゼーション反応を行う方法であって、
請求項1に記載のマイクロアレイを準備する工程と、
1つの試料を1つの区画内のプローブにハイブリダイズする工程と、
別の試料を別の区画内のプローブにハイブリダイズする工程と、
を含む方法。
