Claims (5)
- ループ管の内部に、第一高温側熱交換器と第一低温側熱交換器に挟まれた第一のスタックと、第二高温側熱交換器と第二低温側熱交換器に挟まれた第二のスタックとを具備してなり、第一のスタックに温度勾配を生じさせることによって自励の音波を発生させ、当該音波によって前記第二低温側熱交換器を冷却し、又は/及び、前記第二高温側熱交換器を加熱する熱音響装置であって、
前記第一のスタック、又は/及び、第二のスタックの導通路内に形成される熱境界層が導通路全体を覆っていない場合、導通路内における粘性境界層が導通路の半径を超えない範囲で熱境界層の厚さδ α から粘性境界層の厚さδ ν を引いた差が最大となるように、ループ管の長さ、作動流体の状態、導通路の径のうち少なくとも一つを設定したことを特徴とする熱音響装置。 - ループ管内の作動流体の状態を調整する調整手段を設けた請求項1に記載の熱音響装置。
- 前記調整手段が、ループ管の管部をオーバーラップさせた状態でスライドさせる伸縮機構によって構成されるものである請求項2に記載の熱音響装置。
- 前記調整手段が、ループ管に接続された気体注入装置によって作動流体の圧力を変化させるものである請求項2に記載の熱音響装置。
- 前記調整手段が、自励による音波が発生した後、熱境界層を厚くするように圧力を設定するものである請求項2に記載の熱音響装置。
