Claims (13)
- その中にスロット(148)が形成された接合部(140)を備える少なくとも1つのドーム旋回カップ(64)と、その一部が前記接合部スロット内に固定保持されるように前記旋回カップに結合されかつ該旋回カップから下流方向に延びる環状のデフレクタプレート組立体(156)とを含む燃焼器ドーム組立体(38)の一部を交換する方法であって、
前記デフレクタプレート組立体と前記接合部スロットとの間に形成された接合面(190)を通して切断部を形成する段階と、
実質的に前記デフレクタプレート組立体と前記少なくとも1つのドームカップを通る前記接合部スロットとの間で前記切断部(200)を拡大させる段階と、
前記燃焼器ドーム組立体から前記デフレクタプレート組立体を取り外す段階と、
前記燃焼器ドーム組立体の前記切断部の上流にある部分から後方に延びる交換用デフレクタプレート組立体を該燃焼器ドーム組立体内に結合する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 接合面(190)を通して切断部を形成する前記段階が、放電加工プロセスを使用して、前記デフレクタプレート組立体(156)と前記接合部スロット(148)との間に形成された前記接合面を通して切断部を形成する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 接合面(190)を通して切断部を形成する前記段階が、輪郭付けされたチャネル(204)を前記接合部(140)内に形成する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 輪郭付けされたチャネル(204)を形成する前記段階が、前記交換用デフレクタ組立体の部分の輪郭にほぼ一致する輪郭を有するチャネルを形成する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 実質的に前記デフレクタプレート組立体と前記少なくとも1つのドームカップを通る前記接合部スロットとの間で前記切断部(200)を拡大させる前記段階が、前記少なくとも1つの旋回カップを通して間隔をおいた一連の切断部を形成する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記燃焼器ドーム組立体から前記デフレクタプレート組立体を取り外す前記段階が、放電加工プロセスを使用して前記チャネル(204)から過剰な材料を除去する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 交換用デフレクタプレート組立体を前記燃焼器ドーム組立体内に結合する前記段階が、ろう付けプロセス及び溶接プロセスの少なくとも1つを使用して該交換用デフレクタプレート組立体を前記燃焼器(16)内に結合する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ガスタービンエンジン燃焼器(16)内に形成された燃焼室(30)の上流側端部(42)に位置しかつ接合部(140)を備える少なくとも1つの旋回カップ(64)とろう付けプロセス及び溶接プロセスの少なくとも1つによって前記少なくとも1つの旋回カップに結合されかつ前記接合部から後方に延びる少なくとも1つのデフレクタプレート(156)とを含む燃焼器ドーム組立体(38)の一部を該ガスタービンエンジン燃焼器(16)内で交換する方法であって、
前記旋回カップ接合部と前記デフレクタプレートとの間の接合面(204)に形成された溶接材料及びろう付け材料の少なくとも1つを実質的に通して延びる切断部(200)を形成する段階と、
前記燃焼器ドーム組立体から前記デフレクタプレートを取り外す段階と、
前記接合部から下流方向に延びるように交換用デフレクタプレートを前記燃焼器ドーム組立体に結合する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 切断部(200)を形成する前記段階が、放電加工プロセスを使用して、前記デフレクタプレート組立体(156)と前記旋回カップ(64)との間に形成された接合面(190)を通して切断部を形成する段階を更に含む特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 切断部(200)を形成する前記段階が、前記接合部内にチャネル(204)を形成する段階を更に含む特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記接合部(140)内にチャネル(204)を形成する前記段階が、その中に前記交換用デフレクタプレートを受ける寸法にされたチャネルを形成する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記接合部(140)内にチャネル(204)を形成する前記段階が、その中に前記交換用デフレクタプレートを受けるように該チャネルを輪郭付けする段階を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記接合部から下流方向に延びるように交換用デフレクタプレートを前記燃焼器ドーム組立体(30)内に結合する前記段階が、溶接プロセス及びろう付けプロセスの少なくとも1つを使用して該交換用デフレクタプレートを前記燃焼器(16)内に結合する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の方法。
