Description
The present invention relates to an adhesive member for fixing an elbow joint and a method of using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to an elbow joint fixing adhesive member that can reduce elbow pain caused by aging, exercise, or the like by sticking to an elbow site and fixing, and a method of using the same.
Conventionally, many people have been suffering from pain that occurs in joints such as knees, elbows, wrists, and ankles. Since joints are deeply involved in human movements, daily pains often become difficult when pain occurs at these sites. In particular, the elbow joint affects all behaviors in daily life, which causes serious problems not only physically but also mentally.
Causes of pain at the elbow joint, especially tennis elbows caused by backhand stroke, baseball elbows such as baseball elbows due to heavy use of shoot balls and hawk balls, outer humerus epicondylitis, baseball elbows and forehands Examples include medial humerus epicondylitis that interferes with the inside of the elbow such as tennis elbow and golf elbow caused by stroke. In this way, there are many causes of pain in the joints, but in tennis it is customary to continue hitting the backhand stroke inappropriately, or the opponent's ball speed is too fast and the wrist returns strongly inward. If this happens, the lateral epicondyle of the humerus, such as the phalangeal muscle, the long lateral carpal extensor, the short lateral carpal extensor, the total finger extensor, the little finger extensor, the ulnar carpal extensor, the supination muscle, etc. The forearm extensors, which are the muscles starting from the posterior surface of the forearm bone, such as the starting muscle, the long thumb abductor, the short thumb extensor, the long thumb extensor, and the little finger extensor, are strongly stretched. . Also, in baseball, the forearm extensors are similarly strongly stretched due to excessive stress due to strong palm flexion to the outside of the wrist due to shoot balls and hawk balls. Conversely, strong contraction shrinkage may be forced.
Due to these stresses, a large load is applied to the muscle / tendon transition part and the tendon at the start of the forearm extensor, and the tendon may be finely torn. As a result, tenderness and pain during exercise can be felt in the vicinity of the outer epicondyle of the humerus where the forearm extensor group adheres (to the outside of the elbow) and the extensor group.
Furthermore, in baseball pitching operations, it is necessary to make the upper limbs supple and flexible with the elbow as a fulcrum. In order for the upper limb to be supple and whip-like, the elbow joint requires a strong valgus. In addition to this, muscles starting from the medial epicondyle of the humerus, such as the heel lateral carpal flexor, the ulnar carpal flexor, the long palmar muscle, the circular rotator muscle, and the superficial digital flexor muscle, are also added because of strong wrist dorsiflexion. And a large burden on the origin of the forearm flexor muscles, which are muscles starting from the ulna and forearm interstitium, such as the square pronation muscle, deep flexor flexor, long flexor flexor, etc. It takes. In the pitching operation, excessive stress in the forearm flexor muscle group is not limited to the above, and it is required to suddenly reverse from the extended state to change to a contraction of shortening before releasing the ball. For this reason, the forearm flexor muscle group is loaded with stress caused by excessive stretching twice and stress caused by contraction of strong shortening twice.
In tennis, if the forehand stroke is followed by an inappropriate manner of hitting, or if the opponent's ball speed is too high and the wrist is strongly pushed back (forced dorsiflexion), the flexor of the forearm The impact force on the group increases, and the strain on the flexor group and tendon increases. Also, during strong service, a tennis elbow may be generated by a mechanism similar to the above-mentioned baseball elbow. On the other hand, it is necessary to break the snap during top spin, and it is required to rapidly and strongly contract the forearm flexor muscles in contrast to the service. In other words, in order to make a snap, it is necessary to quickly return the wrist to the inside (palm flexion) using the flexor muscle group while turning the forearm.
If these excessive stresses are repeated, the tendon will be stretched out or the tendon will be micro-ruptured, and tenderness will occur if the forearm flexor muscle group is pressed near the medial epicondyle of the humerus (inside the elbow) Or pain during exercise.
Inflammation of these elbow joints occurs frequently or over a long period of time once the symptoms worsen due to muscular weakness around the joints due to aging, excessive use, and excessive application of instantaneous force. As mentioned above, pain in the elbow joint is a serious problem, but in recent years the aging society, the increase in exercise amount due to health consciousness, conversely the decrease in exercise amount due to changes in lifestyle, and even baseball, soccer, volleyball, tennis As is clear from the situation of excessive exercise involved in full-scale competitions such as this, the population with pain in the elbow joints tends to increase. Therefore, countermeasures for pains occurring in the joints are strongly demanded, and various treatment methods are currently being studied.
There are various methods for reducing pain in joints such as pain relief, drug treatment such as muscle relaxants, drug treatment by local injection, etc., physical therapy for extinguishing analgesia by laser, interference wave, microwave, etc. As one of them, a method for reducing pain by fixing a joint is also known. This joint fixing method uses a dedicated adhesive member that can be easily obtained at pharmacies, etc., so it is relatively cheaper and easier than other methods such as drug treatment, hospital visits and surgery as described above. This is an effective means that can reduce pain in the part (hereinafter, fixing the joint using an adhesive member is also referred to as “taping”). However, most people do not have specialized knowledge about taping, and even if they obtain knowledge with specialized books, it is difficult to acquire technology. Is currently attending. However, it takes time and effort to bother to go to the Osteopathic Clinic, which is painful for those who have hurt their joints.
In addition, a method for controlling movement such as bending and stretching movements by sticking a commercially available taping adhesive tape to a joint has been proposed, but if there is no knowledge of joint and muscle movement in advance, Since the recognition of how long the tape should be used is insufficient, the optimum response cannot be made. Moreover, depending on the case, there is a case where the pain is worsened by pasting.
The present invention provides an adhesive member for fixing an elbow joint that is easy to operate even when a person who does not have taping expertise is able to fix the elbow joint by applying the adhesive member to the elbow joint, It is an object to provide a method for using the same.
As a result of intensive studies to achieve the above object, the present inventors consider the shape of the elbow joint part and the movement of the muscle of the part, and by specifying the shape and material of the adhesive member in advance, It has been found that even a person who does not have specialized knowledge can apply the taping adhesive member appropriately and easily, and the present invention has been completed.

The pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention is characterized by being divided into two parts by being provided with a cut (A) from one short side toward the center. By being divided into two parts, it is easy to apply the adhesive member to the elbow joint, which has been difficult until now, and the effect of simplifying taping is imparted. In the adhesive member of the present invention, the length of the cut (A) for dividing into two parts is not particularly limited, but when the constricted portion of the adhesive member of the present invention is positioned near the inner side of the elbow, The length of the adhesive member (B) or (C) divided into two may be a length that can be pasted so as to surround the circumference of the elbow head while extending. For such a purpose, the cut made from one short side toward the center is 1/10 to 1/2 of the length of the long side, and its length is 10 to 500 mm, Preferably, it may be 50 to 300 mm. Further, the width of the two divisions is not particularly limited, but preferably, equally spaced ones can be used without distinguishing between the left and right elbows, the elbow inner part or the elbow outer part.
The shape of the tip (B) (C) of the pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention which is divided into two parts is not particularly limited. For example, the shape of a rectangular portion cut off into a curved shape, that is, a tongue-like shape Is preferred. If the tip has a rectangular shape with corners, it will be easy to peel off when it is overlaid on the adhesive member (including its own back surface) that has already been stuck, but if it has a tongue-like shape, it will be difficult to peel off.
The shape of the tip (D) on the non-divided side of the pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention is not particularly limited, but for example, a rectangular portion or a tongue-like shape obtained by cutting off a corner of the rectangular portion into a curved shape Can do. If the tip has a rectangular shape with corners, it will be easy to peel off when it is overlaid on the adhesive member (including its own back surface) that has already been stuck, but if it has a tongue-like shape, it will be difficult to peel off.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention further includes a portion (E) in which at least one side of the long side portion (a) is cut out in a concave shape, and has a constricted portion. Such cutout portions (E) can be provided on one side or both sides of the long side portion, and are preferably cut out equally on both sides.
The cut-out concave shape is not particularly limited, but is preferably a curved shape, for example, a shape that cuts out a part of the circumference is suitable. Thus, the size of the cut-out portion (E) is 1/10 to 1/2 of the length of the long side portion (a), preferably 1/5 to 3/7, and the short side portion It is 1/10 to 1/2 of the length of (b), preferably 1/5 to 3/7.
The base material in the pressure-sensitive adhesive member supports the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on one side or both sides, and fixes the joint portion with an appropriate degree of stretching of the base material, thereby giving an effect of reducing pain. The base material may have a tensile stress of 50 to 280 N / 25 mm width, preferably 53 to 275 N / 25 mm width in order to impart followability and fixing properties to the joint, and its elongation is 50 It may be ˜270%, preferably 55˜265%. Here, when the tensile stress of the adhesive member is less than 50 N / 25 mm width, the strength at the time of contraction of the joint is insufficient, and the movement of the joint (kickback) cannot be sufficiently assisted. If the width exceeds 280N / 25mm, the joint is too strong to be able to move sufficiently. Moreover, if the elongation is less than 50%, the movement when the joint is extended is suppressed, and a flexible movement cannot be performed. If it exceeds 270%, the movement during expansion and contraction is sufficient, but it becomes impossible to control the excessive force.
The base material used for the pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention is a material having elasticity and stretchability that can effectively exhibit the followability and fixability, which are important for the pressure-sensitive adhesive member for taping, and having the kickback property under the above conditions. If it is, it will not be restrict | limited to the kind of raw material.
Specifically, strong twisted fabrics made of nylon, polyester, polyurethane, rayon, polypropylene, polyethylene, cotton, etc., non-woven fabrics, knitted fabrics and stretchable sheets and fabrics, warp stretch fabrics using warp yarns, warp yarns A stretchable cloth using stretchable yarn as the weft is also preferable. More specifically, a stretch yarn obtained by specially processing fibers such as nylon, polyester, cotton and the like, and a knitted fabric obtained by knitting independently a stretchable synthetic yarn such as polyurethane elastic yarn, or this A knitted fabric knitted by mixing such a synthetic fiber and a low stretchable fiber such as polyester fiber or cotton can be used. The urethane of the polyurethane layer is not particularly limited as long as it is a general ether type or ester type.
The thickness of the base material in the pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention is appropriately determined depending on the site of use, the characteristics of the base material, etc., but is preferably 0.2 to 1.0 mm, more preferably 0.25 to 0.9 mm in consideration of followability to the skin. is there. In the case where the material of the base material is, for example, a stretchable cloth formed by laminating a polyurethane layer, it is possible to add moisture permeability and waterproofness to the stretchable cloth itself. In this case, the thickness of the laminated polyurethane layer is preferably 5 μm or more and less than 30 μm.
On the other hand, as the pressure-sensitive adhesive used for the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on one side of the substrate, those known in the field of general taping pressure-sensitive adhesive members can be used. Specifically, an acrylic adhesive, a natural rubber adhesive, a synthetic rubber adhesive, a vinyl ether adhesive, and a silicone adhesive can be used. For example, as a pressure-sensitive adhesive member that is gentle to the skin or an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive that takes into account skin irritation, the medical pressure-sensitive adhesive material or the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for skin application disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 2539330 or Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2002-065841 can do.
The thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention is appropriately determined depending on the pressure-sensitive adhesive, etc., similarly to the thickness of the substrate, but is preferably 20 to 400 μm when the use site is an elbow, 25 to 200 μm is more preferable.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive of the pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention may be provided entirely or partially on one side of the base material described above. When a pressure-sensitive adhesive is partially provided, the application shape can be a dot shape or a stripe shape. As long as the space which functions as a ventilation path is ensured, the space between stripes may be linear, wavy, or other shapes. In general, a wavy shape in which the cross-sectional layer of the interstitial space is less likely to change with time is preferable, but can be appropriately determined depending on the characteristics of the pressure-sensitive adhesive used and the site of use of the pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention. Further, if necessary, the adhesive member may be perforated.
In order to prevent contamination of the surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention is preferably covered with a release liner until it is used. As this release liner, known ones generally used for pressure-sensitive adhesive members and sheets to be attached to the skin can be used. Specifically, the surface of high-quality paper, glassine paper, parchment paper, etc., coated with a release agent having a release performance such as silicone, the surface of which high-quality paper is anchor-coated with resin, or the laminate of polyethylene And those coated with a release agent having a release performance such as silicone. Further, the release liner can be appropriately split for convenient use.
The usage method of the adhesive member of this invention is shown to FIG.
Part of the release liner of the divided part of the pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention is peeled off. The two parts of the adhesive member are directed to the outer side (rib side) of the arm, and the adhesive member cut out in a concave shape of the adhesive member is positioned and affixed to the inside where the elbow joint is refracted. . Next, the elbow head is exposed between the adhesive members (B) and (C) divided into two parts, and the outer part of the arm (radius side) while extending the two divided parts so as to surround the circumference of the elbow head Stick together so that it wraps around the inside (ulna side).
Thereafter, the release liner on the non-divided side is peeled off, and the end (D) on the non-divided side is appropriately stretched and wound from the inner side (ulna side) to the outer side (radius side). Since good fixation of the joint part on the outer side of the elbow can be obtained by such a method, pain can be reduced.
An alternative method is shown in FIGS.
Part of the release liner of the divided part of the pressure-sensitive adhesive member of the present invention is peeled off. The adhesive member is divided into two parts, facing the inner side of the arm (ulna side), and the adhesive member is cut out in a concave shape, and the constricted part of the adhesive part is positioned on the inner side where the elbow joint is refracted. . Next, the elbow head is exposed between the adhesive members (B) and (C) divided into two parts, and the inside of the arm (ulna side) while extending the two divided parts so as to surround the circumference of the elbow head Stick together so that it wraps around the outside (rib side).
Thereafter, the release liner on the non-divided side is peeled off, and the end (D) on the non-divided side is appropriately stretched and wound from the outer side (radius side) to the inner side (ulna side). Since good fixation of the joint part on the inner side of the elbow can be obtained by such a method, pain can be reduced.
As described above, the adhesive member of the present invention has a portion (B) and a portion (D) that are not divided into two parts (D) and the position and method of application are clear. Further, by having the cutout portion (E), the followability of the adhesive member is further increased, and the elbow joint is fitted. Therefore, when the adhesive member of the present invention is used, taping of the elbow joint can be easily performed even by a person who does not have taping expertise.
