Description
Claims (4)
- ピストン−シリンダー方式の内燃機関に用いるロータリー弁機構の配置方法であって、シリンダー燃焼室が半球状であり、ロータリー弁機構は二分割型シリンダーヘッド内に配置され、前記シリンダーヘッドは複数のロータリー吸気弁およびロータリー排気弁を受ける複数の胴体状収納キャビティを規定し、前記ロータリー吸気弁及びロータリー排気弁は球状であり2つの平行な面によって規定される球の一部を有し、前記平行面は前記球状ロータリー吸気弁及びロータリー排気弁はそれぞれの中心の周りに対称の位置にあって球状周辺部及び平面端壁を規定し、前記ロータリー吸気弁及びロータリー排気弁は前記胴体収納キャビティ内の軸上に載置されてそれぞれが導入口及び排出口に気密を保って接触しており、前記ロータリー吸気弁及びロータリー排気弁はそれぞれを貫通する燃料−空気の混合気の導入・中断用の流路及びシリンダーから排ガスを排出する流路を有し、前記導入口及び排出口の前記ロータリー吸気弁及びロータリー排気弁それぞれの機密性は弁シール及び弁座によって保たれ、前記半球状燃焼室に対する弁配置は、
互いに傾いた角度の関係にありそれぞれの弁座を規定する互いに傾いた角度の関係にある導入口及び排出口、
異なった平面上の互いに傾いた角度にありそれぞれが前記胴体収納キャビティに連通して前記球状ロータリー吸気弁及びロータリー排気弁と接している前記導入口及び排出口のそれぞれに備えた導入口弁シール及び排出口弁シールを含んで構成し、且つ
前記導入口弁シール及び前記排出口弁シールはそれぞれ環状に形成されていることを特徴とするロータリー弁機構の配置方法。 - 前記導入口及び排出口並びに対応する導入口弁シール及び排出口弁シールは前記分割型シリンダーを上方から見た場合に直線状に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のロータリー弁機構の配置方法。
- 前記導入口及び排出口並びに対応する導入口弁シール及び排出口弁シールは前記分割型シリンダーを上方から見た場合に直線状には配置されていないことを特徴とする請求項1記載のロータリー弁機構の配置方法。
- 前記導入口弁シール及び排出口弁シールは二分割型のシリンダーヘッドの接合面に対して30度傾斜して配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のロータリー弁機構の配置方法。
