技术领域
本发明涉及一种活塞-气缸式的内燃机,该机有一球形旋转阀组合件,用来将燃油/空气混合物引入到气缸内并排出废气,本发明特别针对这种旋转阀组合件的阀和阀密封件在半球形气缸头/燃烧室内的定位。
背景技术
本申请人曾致力研究活塞-气缸式内燃机,特别是用球形旋转阀组合件来替代提升阀系统,包括提升阀、弹簧、安装件和相关的凸轮轴,以便将燃油空气混合物引入到气缸内并排出废气。本申请人是下列美国专利的署名发明人:US 4,989,576“内燃机”;US 4,944,261“内燃机的球形旋转阀组合件”;US 4,953,527“内燃机球形旋转阀组合件”;US 4,976,232“旋转阀发动机的阀密封件”;US 4,989,558“内燃机的球形旋转阀组合件”;US 5,109,814“球形旋转阀”;US 5,361,739“用于旋转阀内燃机的球形旋转阀组合件”;及US 6,308,676B1“旋转阀发动机的冷却系统”。上述这些美国专利被本文利用。
本发明即本申请的主题为阀和阀密封件及其相对于半球形气缸头/燃烧室的定位。
发明内容
本发明的一个目的是要为旋转阀发动机提供一种新颖的改进的阀、阀密封件和气缸头/燃烧室配置。
本发明另一个目的是要为旋转阀发动机组合件提供一种新颖的改进的阀、阀密封件和气缸头/燃烧室配置,其中气缸头/燃烧室具有半球形的设计。
用于气缸头/燃烧室为半球形的活塞和气缸式内燃机的旋转阀组合件的阀配置是使阀密封件对半球形气缸头斜置以便将燃油/空气混合物送入气缸内并排出用过的废气。
本发明提供一种用于具有活塞和气缸类型的内燃机的旋转阀组合件的阀配置,其中该气缸的燃烧室为半球形,该旋转阀组合件被装定在一个两件的气缸头内,所说气缸头限定多个鼓形容纳腔,以便安装多个旋转进气阀和旋转排气阀,所说旋转进气阀和旋转排气阀具有一个由两个平行的球平面限定的球形部分,所说平面被对称地设置在所说球中心的周围,限定一个球形的周面和一些平面端壁,所说旋转进气阀和旋转排气阀安装在所说鼓形容纳腔内的轴设施上并分别以气密密封方式与一进入口和排出口接触,所说旋转进气阀和旋转排气阀各设有穿通其间的通道,以便分别将燃油空气混合物引入或中断引入到该气缸并从该气缸排出废气,所说旋转进气阀和旋转排气阀与所说进入口和所说排出口的所说气密性密封接触各由一个阀密封件和一个阀座来完成,所说半球形燃烧室的阀配置包括:一个进入口和一个排出口,相互成角度关系,所说进入口和所说排出口限定一阀座,所说进入口的所说阀座和所说排出口的所说阀座相互成角度关系;一个进入阀密封件和一个排出阀密封件装定在各自的所说进入口和所说排出口上,所说进入阀密封件和所说排出阀密封件相互间成非平面的角度关系,并各与所说鼓形容纳腔连通,以便分别与所说球形旋转进入阀和所说球形旋转排出阀接触。

具体实施方式
球形旋转阀组合件对活塞和气缸式内燃机的功能为可消除凸轮轴、菌状提升阀和相关的硬件,这样就可使发动机简化。如图5所示,球形旋转进气阀可将燃油/空气混合物引入到气缸内,而球形旋转排气阀可排出用过的废气。球形旋转进气阀和球形旋转排气阀及其附带阀密封件的操作曾在上述这些专利中详细论述过并被本文引用。
这些专利反映出球形旋转进气阀和球形旋转排气阀在结构和操作方面的某些改变和改进以及相关的阀密封件的改进。目前还有另外一些申请正在进行。这些申请的目标也是与阀密封件及阀本身的显著改进有关。
本申请所要解决的问题是在大缸径的汽油机中和柴油机中常见的、具有半球形设计的气缸头/燃烧室的发动机中球形旋转进气阀和球形旋转排气阀的定位。
参阅图1,其中所示为本申请人现有专利的球形旋转阀组合件的一个较早实施例的端向剖视图,该图详细阐明了被包围在一个分开式气缸头组合件的上半部12内的旋转进气阀与该组合件下半部之间的关系。分开式气缸头组合件被固定在发动机机体上,机体内设有气缸16,活塞18可在其内来回移动。
分开式气缸头包括上半部12和下半部14,形成一个可鼓形容纳腔20,旋转进气阀10就定位在其内的轴22上,该轴延伸通过旋转进气阀10上的中心定位孔24。如同本申请人在前面列出的现有专利中所详细论述的那样,旋转进气阀10通过定位在其球周面21上的孔38依次与气缸16的进入口32对准使燃油空气进入口26和气缸16连通。
在轴22上的鼓形容纳腔20内转动的旋转进气阀10与定位在气缸16进入口32周围的环形槽或座38内的阀密封件35接触。阀密封件35用来提供密封以便在进气冲程中确保燃油/空气的混合物能从旋转进气阀10进入到气缸16内,并在压缩冲程中确保燃油/空气混合物的点燃是在气缸16内发生而不是转移到鼓形容纳腔20内,另外在排气冲程中该密封件可用来确保废气通过旋转排气阀排出。
现在参阅图2、3和4,它们分别是适宜用在半球形气缸头/燃烧室上的阀密封件36的顶视图、切开的侧视图和侧视图,这时所含阀密封件的说明都是相对于图1所示的旋转进气阀作出的。阀密封件35具有与前此列出的本申请人现有专利中所公开的球形旋转阀组合件的旋转排气阀相同的设计并用于相同的目的和功能。还应知道每个气缸都有至少一个旋转进气阀、一个旋转排气阀和一个与每一个阀相关的阀密封件。
阀密封件36由一个阀密封体37和一个在以后还要较充分地说明的陶瓷碳嵌入润滑环52构成。阀密封件36有一设置在中央的孔40,当将阀密封件36坐落在环形槽或座38内时,该孔40可与进入口32对准。环形槽或座38可具有与半球形气缸头燃烧室的内表面平行的曲率。另外,阀密封件36的底环形表面41还可具有一个与环形槽或座38互补的曲率。阀体37的上环形表面42是向内向孔40的中心弯曲。这个曲率相当于旋转进气阀10的球周面曲率23。阀体37的上表面42上制有一条环形凹槽,该凹槽由内侧壁46、外侧壁48和底表面50形成。内侧壁46与底表面50成90度角,而外侧壁48与底表面50所成角度小于90度。环形凹槽44是用来安装陶瓷碳嵌入润滑环52的。该环被定位在环形凹槽44内使其上表面54与阀体37的上表面42的曲率重合。在将陶瓷碳润滑环52匹配到阀体37内时,须将阀体37加热使它略微膨胀,然后在其加热过程中将陶瓷碳嵌入润滑环52嵌入到环形槽44内。于是让阀体冷却。由于环形凹槽的外侧壁48从90度角略微向内侧壁46倾斜,因此陶瓷碳嵌入润滑环52被这个“锁角”锁定在位并且可以确保停留在该位置而可不管在内燃机的燃烧过程中阀密封件如何变热。当装有阀密封件的内燃机是用天然气来发动时这一点尤其重要,因为天然气能比传统的汽油或柴油燃料产生高得多的温度。
阀密封件36的外侧壁54上制出台阶并形成多个间隔开的环形肋56和57以便安装并设定密封环或气流环58和59,该环的功能很像活塞环,是在阀密封件36侧壁54和在进入口32周围的环形槽或座38的周边之间建立起密封。在本实施例中所示为两个肋56和57与两个密封环或气流环58和59。
在阀密封件36的周面上还制有多个径向的贯通孔64贯穿阀密封件的外侧壁60和形成孔40的内侧壁62,这样从气缸头来的燃气便可通阀密封件36的侧壁54连通到密封环59上。当活塞在压缩冲程而向上移动时,这种设计可增强阀密封件36的密封和落座。在这种情况下,旋转进气阀10肯定已转动到这样程度使其球周面21将阀密封件36的孔40关闭。而在压缩冲程的活塞将压缩在气缸头内的燃气。贯通孔64使这些被压缩的燃气能将压力施加在密封环58上,从而迫使密封环58与阀座38的壁接触。
图5为本发明的球形旋转阀组合件与半球形气缸头/燃烧室的关系的端向剖视图。许多元件是相同的,只是为了容纳半球形气缸头/燃烧室,在配置上有所不同。旋转进气阀10和旋转排气阀11被封闭在一个分开式气缸头组合件的上半部12和下半部14内。分开式气缸头组合件被固定在发动机机体上,该机体有一气缸16,活塞就在其内来回移动。在本例中,气缸头/燃烧室70为半球形并在分开式气缸头组合件的下半部14内被制出。当将分开式气缸头组合件的上半部12和下半部14固定在一起时就可形成一个鼓形容纳腔20,在该空腔内可以设定旋转进气阀10,还可形成另一个类似的鼓形容纳腔,在该空腔内可以设定旋转排气阀11,旋转进气阀10和旋转排气阀各有一个孔24以便装在转轴上。阀密封件36应被设定在阀座38上,阀座38为一环形表面,它应接合在阀密封件36的下壁上。最佳设计应将半球形气缸头/燃烧室70的进入口和排出口定位在半球形气缸头/燃烧室70的拱顶上,相互间形成一个180度的角度。图5图示这个设计,这个设计使燃气能以最短的距离从球形旋转进气阀周面上的孔流到半球形气缸头/燃烧室70并能以最短的距离从气缸头/燃烧室70流到球形旋转排出阀11上的孔以便使废气从半球形气缸头/燃烧室70内排出。通往球形旋转进气阀的进气管和从球形旋转排气阀出来的排气管没有在图中示出,但在申请人现有专利中曾有完整的说明。
就半球形气缸头/燃烧室而言,在某些情况下可允许与进入口和排出口错开或偏离,为的是将进入管和排出管设定在分开式气缸头组合件的上半部12内。进入口的设计不管是与排出口成180度角还是略为错开,球形旋转阀和阀密封件的组合总是应使燃油和空气的混合物能被引入到半球形气缸头/燃烧室内并使用过的废气能从其内排出。另外,虽然对半球形气缸头/燃烧室的配置的说明是将本申请人研发的阀密封件的一种型式公开,但曾在本申请人现有专利中说明过的阀密封件的其他型式也可适用。
虽然本发明已就其示范实施例进行说明,但应知道本行业的行家在不离开本发明的创意和范围的情况下是能作出许多修改和变化的。因此显然本发明理应只受权利要求所限定的范围和其等同物的限制。

Claims (3)

1. 一种用于具有活塞和气缸类型的内燃机的旋转阀组合件的阀配置,其中该气缸的燃烧室为半球形,该旋转阀组合件被装定在一个两件的气缸头内,所说气缸头限定多个鼓形容纳腔,以便安装多个旋转进气阀和旋转排气阀,所说旋转进气阀和旋转排气阀具有一个由两个平行的球平面限定的球形部分,所说平面被对称地设置在所说球中心的周围,限定一个球形的周面和一些平面端壁,所说旋转进气阀和旋转排气阀安装在所说鼓形容纳腔内的轴设施上并分别以气密密封方式与一进入口和排出口接触,所说旋转进气阀和旋转排气阀各设有穿通其间的通道,以便分别将燃油空气混合物引入或中断引入到该气缸并从该气缸排出废气,所说旋转进气阀和旋转排气阀与所说进入口和所说排出口的所说气密性密封接触各由一个阀密封件和一个阀座来完成,所说半球形燃烧室的阀配置包括:
一个进入口和一个排出口,相互成角度关系,所说进入口和所说排出口限定一阀座,所说进入口的所说阀座和所说排出口的所说阀座相互成角度关系;
一个进入阀密封件和一个排出阀密封件装定在各自的所说进入口和所说排出口上,所说进入阀密封件和所说排出阀密封件相互间成非平面的角度关系,并各与所说鼓形容纳腔连通,以便分别与所说球形旋转进入阀和所说球形旋转排出阀接触。
2. 权利要求1的阀配置,其特征在于所说进入口和所说排出口及所说相应的进入阀密封件和所说排出阀密封件成180度的间隔关系。
3. 权利要求1的阀配置,其特征在于所说进入口和所说排出口及所说进入阀密封件和所说排出阀密封件成小于180度的间隔关系。
