Description
補助電極18は、透明電極12上に、例えば、蒸着法等の公知の薄膜形成方法を用いて形成される。また、補助電極18を形成する材料として対向電極13と同じ材料を使用する場合には、対向電極13の形成時に、同時に補助電極18を形成することもできる。
Claims (4)
- 透明電極と対向電極との間に、少なくとも、発光層が設けられたエレクトロルミネッセンス素子であって、
前記透明電極は前記発光層が発する光を取り出す側に設けられるとともに、該電極に電流を供給するための電源供給部を有し、
前記透明電極の膜厚が均一である場合に測定される前記透明電極の各部分と前記電源供給部との間の電気抵抗値に応じて、前記透明電極の膜厚が決められており、
前記透明電極の膜厚は、前記電気抵抗値が高い部分ほど薄くなっており、
前記電源供給部は、前記透明電極の周縁部に接するように設けられた補助電極を有し、該補助電極は、前記透明電極を形成する材料よりも電気伝導度の大きい材料で形成されている
ことを特徴とするエレクトロルミネッセンス素子。 - 前記対向電極は、前記発光層が発する光を反射する材料で形成されている、請求項1に記載のエレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 前記発光層の発した光を集光して光取り出し効率を向上させる集光部が前記発光層よりも光取り出し側に設けられている、請求項2に記載のエレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 前記エレクトロルミネッセンス素子は、有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子である、請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のエレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
