Description
1.コンピュータネットワークにおけるスイッチとサーバとの間に多重リンクをトランクするリンクレベルサーバ/スイッチトランキング方法であって、前記サーバが追加のネットワークインターフェースカード(NIC)又はサーバ中に配置された多重ポートNICの一方を有し、前記追加のNIC又は多重ポートNICをグループ構成として認識するステップと、前記サーバのオペレーティングシステム及びクライアントが前記グループ構成を、単一NICとして認識するステップと、前記グループ構成を、多重ポートを備えるトランクとして処理するステップと、前記スイッチで受信されるパケットのソースアドレスから、前記サーバに到達するための前記多重ポート中の一つを選択するステップと、前記サーバから送信されるパケットの宛先アドレスから、前記クライアントに到達するための前記多重ポート中の一つを選択するステップと、を有するリンクレベルサーバ/スイッチトランキング方法。

Claims (1)
- コンピュータネットワークにおいてスイッチとサーバの間の多重リンクをトランクするためのシステムであって、
サーバドライバが、追加のネットワークインターフェースカード(NIC)又は多重ポートNICをグループのメンバとして認識し構成する手段と、
前記サーバドライバの少なくとも一つをオーバレイするドライバシムの一つ、又は、モノリシックドライバが、前記グループが前記サーバのオペレーティングシステム及びクライアントに単一のNICとして認識されるようにする手段と、
前記グループ中の複数のNICを通じて前記サーバに接続される一つのスイッチまたは複数のスイッチへの複数のNICリンクが、前記グループを、多重ポートを有するトランクとして扱う手段と、
前記グループ中の複数のNICを通じて前記サーバに接続される一つのスイッチまたは
複数のスイッチへの複数のNICリンクが、前記スイッチで受信されたパケットのソース
アドレスに基づき、前記スイッチのポートのなかから前記サーバに到達するポートを選択
する手段と、
前記サーバドライバが、前記サーバから送信されたパケットの宛先アドレスに基づき、前記サーバのポートのなかから前記クライアントに到達するポートを選択する手段と、
フォールトトレランスを与える手段と、
を備え、
前記フォールトトレランスを与える手段が、
多重リンクを通じて前記サーバをハブツリー構造で複数のスイッチに接続する複数のNICリンクと、
前記スイッチ同士を接続して前記ツリーに複数の経路を生成し、前記経路は前記トランクには含まれず前記経路のどれを通じても前記サーバのソースアドレスを有するパケットの通信を行えるようにする少なくとも1つのスイッチ対スイッチリンクと、
を備え、前記ポートへの前記リンクの一つに障害が発生した際に、前記サーバと前記クライアントとの間のデータ通信を保持する、
ことを特徴とするシステム。
