Description
図1は、本発明に係るデジタルデータストリームの管理情報生成記録方法及び装置が適用されるシステムの一例を概略に図示したもので、本システムは、従来同様セットトップボックス(100)、通信インターフェイス(IEEE1394)及びストリーマ(200)で構成されている。
図1の選局処理部(110)で選局されて入力されるデータストリームを記録媒体に記録するという使用者の要請が入力されると、セットトップボックス(100)の制御部(140)は、IEEE1394通信インターフェイス(130、210)を通じてスリーマ(200)の制御部(250)に記録モードが設定されたことを通知すると共に、受信入力されるデータストリームを通信インターフェイス(130、210)を通じてストリーマ(200)側に送る。このときに、セットトップボックス(100)の制御部(140)は、受信されるデータストリームのビットレートを検出してストリーマ(200)側に伝達する。このビットレートは、PES(Pecketized Elementary Stream)パケットのPESヘッダーにあるESビットレート(element
ary stream rate;ES rate)あるいは、転送ストリーム(TS)パケットのヘッダーにある個別ストリームビットレート(piecewise rate;PW rate)を検出して算出する。
ートで入力されるプログラム(PG1;あるいは、レコード(RCD1)),3Mbpsのビットレートで入力されるプログラム(PG2;あるいは、レコード(RCD2))、4Mbpsのビットレートで入力されるプログラム(PG3;レコードあるいは、(RCD3))、6Mbpsのビットレートで入力されるプログラム(PG4;レコードあるいは、(RCD4))に対して、上位臨界値(Upper_Th_Rate)を6Mbps、下位臨界値(Lower_Th_Rate)を3Mbps、加重値を1.5と2に設定すると仮定する。
Claims (10)
- 受け取ったデジタルデータストリームを記録する方法であって、
(a)前記デジタルデータストリームの複数の転送ストリーム単位体を、前記転送ストリーム単位体の到着時刻を示す伝送時刻基準情報とともに、記録媒体に記録するステップと、
(b)1つのストリーム記録単位体の最大サーチ時間が記録された前記ストリーム記録単位体の間で一定となるように、ある前記転送ストリーム単位体を所定の大きさの複数のストリーム記録単位体にグループ分けするステップと、
(c)前記ストリーム記録単位体に関する再生管理情報を生成し、記録するステップとから構成され、
各転送ストリーム単位体は所定の長さを有し、各ストリーム記録単位体の時間の長さは前記受信した転送ストリームビットレートが2つ以上に区分された臨界値のどの臨界値に属するかによりグループ分けされることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記ステップ(b)において、グループ分けされるストリーム記録単位体の時間の長さは、前記受信した転送ストリームのビットレートに基づき変化することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記ステップ(b)は、前記転送ストリームのビットレートに関する情報を、前記受信した転送ストリームに含まれる前記伝送ビットレート情報から取得することを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記ステップ(b)は、前記受信した転送ストリームに含まれる2つの連続するプログラムクロック基準情報、および前記2つのプログラムクロック基準情報間のデータ量を用いて、前記転送ストリームのビットレートを計算することを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 受信されているデジタルデータストリームを記録する方法であって、
前記デジタルデータストリームの転送ストリーム単位体を、前記転送ストリーム単位体の到着時刻を示す伝送時刻基準情報とともに、記録媒体に記録するステップと、
ある1つのストリーム記録単位体の最大サーチ時間が記録された前記ストリーム記録単位体の間で一定となるように、前記転送ストリーム単位体を所定の大きさの複数のストリーム記録単位体にグループ化するステップと、
前記ストリーム記録単位体の前記グループ分けに関する情報を生成し、記録するステップと
から構成され、
各転送ストリーム単位体は所定の長さを有し、
前記グループ化の情報は、前記ストリーム記録単位体がグループ化されたときの基準時間に関する情報であることを特徴とする方法。 - 受信されているデジタルデータストリームを記録する方法であって、
前記デジタルデータストリームの複数の転送ストリーム単位体を、前記転送ストリーム単位体の到着時刻を示す伝送時刻基準情報とともに、記録媒体に記録するステップと、
ある1つのストリーム記録単位体の最大サーチ時間が記録された前記ストリーム記録単位体の間で一定となるように、ある前記転送ストリーム単位体を所定の大きさの複数のストリーム記録単位体にグループ分けするステップと、
各所定数の前記ストリーム記録単位体にアクセスするための情報を生成するステップと、
サーチを行うための管理情報として、前記各ストリーム記録単位体のサイズに関する情報を前記アクセスするための情報とともに前記記録媒体に記録するステップと
から構成され、
各転送ストリーム単位体は所定の長さを有することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記アクセスするための情報は、前記デジタルデータストリームの記録初期位置から離れたところにある位置情報であることを特徴とする請求項6記載の方法。
- 前記位置情報は、前記記録初期位置からの累積ストリーム記録単位体サイズに関する情報であることを特徴とする請求項7記載の方法。
- 受信されているデジタルデータストリームを記録する装置であって、
デジタルデータストリームの所定の長さを有する各転送ストリーム単位体の到着時刻を生成するクロック手段と、
前記到着時刻とともに前記転送ストリームを記録媒体に記録するための記録手段と、
ある1つのストリーム記録単位体の最大サーチ時間が記録されたストリーム記録単位体の間で一定となるように、前記転送ストリームを複数の前記ストリーム記録単位体にグループ分けし、前記ストリーム記録単位体に関する再生管理情報を生成するための制御手段と
から構成され、
前記グループ化の情報は前記ストリーム記録単位体がグループ化されたときの基準時間に関する情報であり、
前記制御手段および記録手段は生成されたグループ情報を記録する手段であり、前記ストリーム記録単位体は所定のサイズを有することを特徴とする装置。 - 受信されているデジタルデータストリームを記録する装置であって、
デジタルデータストリームの所定の長さを有する各転送ストリーム単位体の到着時刻を
生成するクロック手段と、
前記到着時刻とともに前記転送ストリームを記録媒体に記録するための記録手段と、
ある1つのストリーム記録単位体の最大サーチ時間が記録されたストリーム記録単位体の間で一定となるように、前記転送ストリームを複数の前記ストリーム記録単位体にグループ分けし、各所定数の前記ストリーム記録単位体にアクセスするための情報を生成するための制御手段と
から構成され、
前記制御手段および記録手段は、生成されたアクセス情報を記録する手段であり、前記アクセス情報は、前記デジタルデータストリームの記録初期位置から離れたところにあり、前記ストリーム記録単位体は所定のサイズを有することを特徴とする装置。
