Description
また、従来のグラスファイバーの製造装置の構成は図3に示すように、溶融ガラスを収納した空洞状回転体101を高速で回転せしめ、遠心力によって空洞状回転体101の外周面に形成した穴から溶融ガラスを太線状に噴出せしめ、この太線状ガラスに対し上方に配置した火炎噴出ノズル102から火炎を吹き付けて、横方向に噴出した太線状ガラスを空気力学的な摩擦により下方に引き伸ばして細径化するようにしている。
Claims (3)
- 遠心力によって溶融したガラスを外周面から太線状に噴出する空洞状回転体と、この空洞状回転体の上方に空洞状回転体と同心状に配置され空洞状回転体の外側に前記太線状ガラスの軟化温度よりも高温の調整ゾーンを形成する火炎噴出ノズルと、前記調整ゾーンを通過した太線状ガラスにエアを吹き付けて繊維状ガラスに引張するブラスターとを備えるグラスファイバー製造装置において、前記調整ゾーンを通過した太線状ガラスを、前記エアとの空力学的摩擦で引き延ばすべく、前記火炎噴出ノズルからの火炎噴出方向と前記ブラスターのエアの噴出方向を同じ方向とし、且つ、前記火炎噴出ノズルからの火炎噴出角度の方が前記エアの噴出角度よりも大きくされていることを特徴とするグラスファイバー製造装置。
- 請求項1に記載のグラスファイバー製造装置において、前記火炎噴出ノズルからは不完全燃焼ガスが噴出し、この不完全燃焼ガスが調整ゾーンにおいて燃焼することを特徴とするグラスファイバー製造装置。
- 請求項1に記載のグラスファイバー製造装置において、前記火炎噴出ノズルには空気と燃料ガスとが供給され、この空気と燃料ガスとの混合比は調整可能とされていることを特徴とするグラスファイバー製造装置。
