Description
Claims (2)
- 内周から外周に向って昇順に物理セクタ番号が割当てられている第1の情報記録層と、外周から内周に向って昇順に物理セクタ番号が割当てられている第2の情報記録層とを有し、ユーザ管理エリア、ユーザデータエリア及び該ユーザデータエリアの外周側に位置するスペアエリアに分割され光ディスクに、ホストからの記録命令に応じて、該ホストが指定した論理セクタ番号を前記ユーザ管理エリア、前記ユーザデータエリア及び前記スペアエリアの物理セクタ番号に割当ててユーザデータ、該ユーザデータに関する第1のボリューム管理情報及び前記ユーザデータに関する第2のボリューム管理情報を記録する光ディスク記録装置であって、
前記ホストが指定した論理セクタ番号が前記第1のボリューム管理情報の最終論理セクタ番号と同じ又はそれより小さい場合には、前記ユーザ管理エリアの物理セクタ番号に割当てて記録し、
前記ホストが指定した論理セクタ番号が前記第2のボリューム管理情報の先頭論理セクタ番号と同じ又はそれより大きい場合には、前記スペアエリアの物理セクタ番号に割当てて記録することを特徴とする光ディスク記録装置。 - 内周から外周に向って昇順に物理セクタ番号が割当てられている第1の情報記録層と、外周から内周に向って昇順に物理セクタ番号が割当てられている第2の情報記録層とを有し、ユーザ管理エリア、ユーザデータエリア及び該ユーザデータエリアの外周側に位置するスペアエリアに分割され光ディスクに、ホストからの記録命令に応じて、該ホストが指定した論理セクタ番号を前記ユーザ管理エリア、前記ユーザデータエリア及び前記スペアエリアの物理セクタ番号に割当ててユーザデータ、該ユーザデータに関する第1のボリューム管理情報及び前記ユーザデータに関する第2のボリューム管理情報を記録する光ディスク記録方法であって、
前記ホストが指定した論理セクタ番号が前記第1のボリューム管理情報の最終論理セクタ番号と同じ又はそれより小さい場合には、前記ユーザ管理エリアの物理セクタ番号に割当てて記録し、
前記ホストが指定した論理セクタ番号が前記第2のボリューム管理情報の先頭論理セクタ番号と同じ又はそれより大きい場合には、前記スペアエリアの物理セクタ番号に割当てて記録することを特徴とする光ディスク記録方法。
