Description

Technical field
The present invention relates to a storage container, particularly a disposable storage container, and a storage container that can function as a liner. The invention further relates to a device for spraying liquid, for example a spray gun, and in particular to a liquid container or tank of such a device.
Background art
Disposable storage containers have many uses in many different fields. For example, many articles are packaged in disposable storage containers such as bags before and after purchase. When the disposable storage container is a plastic bag, the purchaser often reuses the bag as a disposable liner for another container such as a trash can. In some cases, disposable liners may be manufactured specifically for use with other reusable containers, in which case the liner will help to dispose of the contents of the container (such as in a trash liner) It is also intended to protect the container or its contents, or make it unnecessary to clean the container.
Using a liner on a container that mixes or contains materials such as adhesives, paints or gypsum inside makes it easier to clean the container after use, This can be particularly advantageous in that it prevents contamination by the rest of other materials. For example, a container that mixes paint internally or contains paint for use must be cleaned so that the color or quality of the paint is not altered by traces of other materials. This is particularly important as described above when repainting vehicles, and the paint must be compatible with existing paint. In order to avoid contamination problems when mixing paints, bodywork factories often use cups of disposable wax paper as mixing containers, especially when very small amounts of paint are needed. In another method described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,383,635, a disposable storage container is placed and used within a reusable frame container.
In the field of spray guns, it has been proposed that disposable liners should be used in gun tanks for various reasons (U.S. Pat. Nos. 3 211 324, 3 255 972, 4 151 929, No. 4 951 875 and 5 143 294 and European publication 0 678 334). Guns for spraying liquids such as paints and horticultural chemicals are generally known, and generally include a tank for storing the liquid to be distributed and a spray nozzle for distributing the liquid under control of a trigger mechanism under pressure. Prepare. Liquid is drawn from a tank under gravity or drawn into a stream of pressurized fluid such as air or water supplied to the gun from an external source.
If the user wants to change the liquid in the spray gun tank, it is generally necessary to clean the gun very thoroughly so that traces of old liquid remain in the gun and do not contaminate the new liquid. This is especially true for paint spray guns. This is because if the old batch of paint remains in the gun, it will affect the color of the new batch so that the new batch cannot be used. This can be problematic, especially in body shops where the paint applied to the vehicle often needs to be accurately matched to existing paint workpieces. Alternatively, when the paint residue is dried in the gun, it may peel off like a scale and contaminate a new batch of paint. However, cleaning the spray gun is a relatively complex and time consuming task. In addition, in the case of paint spray guns, cleaning operations use rather large amounts of solvents that must be handled and disposed of for environmental reasons. As a result, the cost of painting operations can increase significantly. Methods have already been proposed to use disposable liners in spray gun paint tanks or paint pots to simplify gun cleaning and reduce the amount of solvent required (European Publication 0 678 334 above). Issue).

The above description is based on the action of compressed air or other pressurized fluid where the suction supply gun, i.e. the outlet of the liquid from the tank is located at the top of the tank when the gun is used, and the liquid flows through the gun. It also applies to guns drawn from tanks via supply tubes. In this case, if the liner is provided in the tank, the liner and / or supply tube configuration must be such that the liner can collapse without blocking the supply tube. For example, a short supply tube can be used if all the air is exhausted from the liner before using the gun. Alternatively, a flexible supply tube that collapses with the liner may be used. As another alternative, a modified liner that does not have a rigid base may be used so that the liner collapses in a different manner than the
