鞘翅目コガネムシ科に属するシロテンハナムグリ(学名:Protaeliaorientalis Gory et Perchelon)およびコアオハナムグリ(学名:Oxycetonia jucunda Faldermann)の成虫は、花や栗および果実を食害し、大きな被害を与えている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】

このシロテンハナムグリおよびコアオハナムグリによる被害を予防ないし防除することは、従来の殺虫剤によっては、非常に困難な状況にある。このような現状から、この害虫を効果的に防除するために、その発生を的確に知るための予察手段や、従来の殺虫剤とは異なる新しいタイプの防除手段が強く望まれていた。

【課題を解決するための手段】

そこで本発明者らはシロテンハナムグリおよびコアオハナムグリの誘引活性物質の検索を行った。その結果誘引活性物質の存在をつきとめた。そしてこの物質を使用することにより、特に、シロテンハナムグリおよびコアオハナムグリの雌雄成虫に対する誘引効果が著しく発現されて実用上有効な誘引作用を示すことを見出した。本発明はこれら知見に基づいてなされたものである。

本発明はL−イソロイシンメチルエステルを活性成分として含有することを特徴とする鞘翅目コガネムシ科に属するハナムグリの誘引剤を提供するものであり、特に、シロテンハナムグリおよびコアオハナムグリに有効な誘引剤を提供するものである。

本発明にかかる誘引活性物質であるL−イソロイシンメチルエステル[IUPAC名:(2S,3S)−(+)−2−amino−3−methylpentanoic acid methylester]は、特にシロテンハナムグリおよびコアオハナムグの雌雄成虫に対して強い誘引作用と行動刺激作用を示すものである。

本発明にかかる誘引剤を調製するには、L−イソロイシンメチルエステルを用いて、通常性誘引剤の調製に際して適用されている製剤化技術を利用して行うことができる。例えば、L−イソロイシンメチルエステルをそのまま、またはジクロロメタン等の有機溶媒を用いて溶液とし、この溶液を適当な担体、例えばポリエチレン等のプラスチックやゴム等に吸着させるか、プラスチック製のカプセルや毛細態様に応じた適当な材料あるいは器具を用いて実用的な形態の誘引剤とすることができる。

誘引捕殺によるシロテンハナムグリおよびコアオハナムグリの防除を行う際、本発明の誘引剤は適当なトラップ(捕獲器)に組み込んで使用される。

以下、実施例に従って本発明をより詳細に説明する。

本実施例の誘引剤1は、L−イソロイシンメチルエステル100mgをジクロロメタン10mlに溶解することで製造した。

そして、該誘引剤1(1mg)を、アルドリッチ社製のゴムセプタムに含浸させることで実用的な形態の誘引剤11とした。

また、該誘引剤1(1mg)を、東ソー社製のエチレン−酢酸ビニールの共重合体からなるペレットに含浸させて実用的な形態の誘引剤12とした。

本発明区1として、上記実施例で得た誘引剤11を入れたプラスチック容器を10個用意した。

本発明区2として、上記実施例で得た誘引剤12を入れたプラスチック容器を10個用意した。

対照区として、中に何も入れない空のプラスチック容器を10個用意した。

上記で用意した各区の10個のプラスチック容器を、それぞれ日本たばこ産業株式会社製のプラスチック製捕虫器にセットして、各区について10個ずつのトラップを用意した。

これらのトラップを用い、山梨県の栗の生産農家に於いて9月10日から9月17日にかけて、同一環境条件下でシロテンハナムグリの捕虫試験を行い、各区について、雌雄成虫の1日あたりの平均捕虫数を求めた。

試験の結果は図1に示す通りであった。

すなわち、本発明区1の1トラップあたりの平均捕虫数は97匹/1日(うち雌成虫54匹、雄成虫43匹)であった。また、本発明区2の1トラップあたりの平均捕虫数は210匹/1日(うち雌成虫110匹、雄成虫100匹)であった。また、対照区の1トラップあたりの平均捕虫数は1.2匹/1日であった。

また、これらのトラップを用い、静岡県の生花生産農家に於いて4月20日から4月27日にかけて、同一条件下でコアオハナムグリの捕虫試験を行い、各区について、雌雄成虫の1日あたりの平均捕虫数を求めた。

試験の結果は図2に示す通りであった。

すなわち、本発明区1の1トラップあたりの平均捕虫数は34匹/1日(うち雌成虫19匹、雄成虫15匹)であった。また本発明区2の1トラップあたりの平均捕虫数は87匹/1日(うち雌成虫46匹、雄成虫41匹)であった。また、対照区の1トラップあたりの平均捕虫数は0.6匹/1日であった。

以上の試験例の結果を考察すると、本発明区は、シロテンハナムグリおよびコアオハナムグリの雌雄成虫に対して極めて高い誘引効果を有することが確認された。
