Claims (6)
- 第1伝送ラインと、
第2伝送ラインと、
前記第1伝送ラインと前記第2伝送ラインの間に設けられた第1増幅器と、
前記第1増幅器とは逆並列に、前記第1伝送ラインと前記第2伝送ラインの間に設けられた第2増幅器と、
を少なくとも備えており、
前記第1伝送ラインにおける進行波と前記第2伝送ラインにおける進行波は、180°の位相差を有しており、
前記第1伝送ラインの進行波が、前記第1増幅器の入力に供給され、
前記第1増幅器は、増幅した信号を、前記第2伝送ラインの進行波に加え、
前記第2伝送ラインの進行波が、前記第2増幅器の入力に供給され、
前記第2増幅器は、増幅した信号を、前記第1伝送ラインの進行波に加える、
ことを特徴とする進行波増幅器。 - 前記第1増幅器の入力は、第1結合手段を介して、前記第1伝送ラインに結合され、前記第1増幅器の出力は、第2結合手段を介して、前記第2伝送ラインに結合され、
前記第2増幅器の入力は、第3結合手段を介して、前記第2伝送ラインに結合され、前記第2増幅器の出力は、第4結合手段を介して、前記第1伝送ラインに結合される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の進行波増幅器。 - 前記第1増幅器の入力が前記第1伝送ラインに結合されている位置から、オフセットした位置で、前記第1増幅器の出力が前記第2伝送ラインに結合され、
前記第2増幅器の入力が前記第2伝送ラインに結合されている位置から、オフセットした位置で、前記第2増幅器の出力が前記第1伝送ラインに結合されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の進行波増幅器。 - 前記第1増幅器が増幅した信号の位相と、前記第1増幅器が増幅した信号が加わる前記第2伝送ラインの進行波の位相とがそろって位相整合が達成され、
前記第2増幅器が増幅した信号の位相と、前記第2増幅器が増幅した信号が加わる前記第1伝送ラインの進行波の位相とがそろって位相整合が達成されるように、
前記オフセットが設定され、前記第1及び第2増幅器の位相が設定され、および/または、前記第1乃至第4結合手段の位相が設定されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の進行波増幅器。 - 第1伝送ラインと、
第2伝送ラインと、
前記第1伝送ラインと前記第2伝送ラインの間に設けられた第1増幅器と、
前記第1増幅器とは逆並列に、前記第1伝送ラインと前記第2伝送ラインの間に設けられた第2増幅器と、
を少なくとも備えた進行波増幅器を用いて、進行波増幅を提供する方法であって、
前記第1伝送ラインにおける進行波と前記第2伝送ラインにおける進行波は、180°の位相差を有しており、
前記第1伝送ラインの進行波が、前記第1増幅器の入力に供給され、
前記第1増幅器は、増幅した信号を、前記第2伝送ラインの進行波に加え、
前記第2伝送ラインの進行波が、前記第2増幅器の入力に供給され、
前記第2増幅器は、増幅した信号を、前記第1伝送ラインの進行波に加える、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 光システム、光スイッチマトリックス、光通信システム、RF広帯域製品、マイクロ波通信、衛星TVまたは衛星通信用のセットトップボックス、衝突防止レーダー、ワイヤレスローカルループ、GaAsおよびInPプロセスなどの先進ICプロセッサにおける、請求項1に記載の進行波増幅器または請求項5に記載の方法の使用。
