Sulfinic acid ester compounds are important intermediates of various fine chemicals including physiologically active substances such as pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemicals (see, for example, Patent Document 1). As a method for producing a sulfinic acid ester compound, a method of reacting a corresponding disulfide compound, an alcohol and N-bromosuccinimide (for example, see Non-Patent Document 1) is known, but the disulfide compound as a raw material is a malodorous substance. There was a desire for improvement.
Under such circumstances, the present inventors have intensively studied to develop a method for producing a sulfinic acid ester compound without using a disulfide compound that is a malodorous substance.
