BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a motorcycle in which a synthetic resin front cowl disposed in front of a head pipe provided at a front end of the vehicle body frame is supported on a vehicle body frame, and more particularly to an improvement in a front cowl mounting structure.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A motorcycle in which a front cowl is supported by a stay fixed to a vehicle body frame is already known, for example, from Patent Document 1 below.
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 61-226385
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described conventional apparatus, the mounting boss provided on the front cowl is attached to the stay fixed to the vehicle body frame. With such a mounting structure, the stay is extended to a position close to the front cowl. This will increase the size of the stay. Therefore, reducing the size of the stay and extending the mounting boss on the front cowl side to the stay side will not only be disadvantageous in terms of the support strength of the front cowl, but also the mounting boss when molding the front cowl made of synthetic resin. Correspondingly, heat sink may occur, and the appearance may be deteriorated.
[0005]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and is intended to reduce the size and weight of the stay on the vehicle body frame side while maintaining the support strength, and to prevent the appearance of the front cowl from being deteriorated. An object is to provide a cowl mounting structure.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention according to claim 1 is directed to a head pipe that can be used to steer a front fork, a main frame extending rearward from the head pipe, and a head pipe below the main frame. In a motorcycle in which a front cowl made of a synthetic resin supported by a vehicle body frame including a down tube that is connected and extends downwardly is disposed in front of the head pipe, the front cowl includes an outer cowl and the outer cowl. An inner cowl disposed inside the cowl is fastened to each other, a rear part of the outer cowl is attached to a fuel tank mounted on the main frame, and a front part of the outer cowl is connected to the head pipe. Supported by an intermediate inclusion on the fixed head pipe stay, the inner pipe Wherein the lower portion of ur is attached to the anchored down tube stays in the down tube.
[0007]
According to the configuration of the first aspect of the present invention, the outer cowl and the inner cowl constitute the hollow box-shaped front cowl, and the rigidity and weight of the front cowl can be improved. Moreover, the rear part of the outer cowl is attached to the fuel tank at the front part of the body frame, and it is not necessary to provide a stay on the body frame to support the rear part of the outer cowl, and the rear part of the outer cowl is close to the fuel tank. Therefore, it is not necessary to provide a particularly long protrusion at the rear part of the outer cowl for attaching to the fuel tank, and it is avoided that the surface of the outer cowl is attached to the fuel tank. The mounting strength will not be weakened. In addition, since the front part of the outer cowl is supported by a head pipe stay fixed to the head pipe via an intermediate inclusion, a special long protrusion is provided on the front part of the outer cowl to support the head pipe stay. It is not necessary to provide it, and it is avoided that heat shrinkage occurs on the front surface of the outer cowl, and the attachment strength is not weakened. In addition, the lower part of the inner cowl that is attached to the inside of the outer cowl can be attached to the down tube stay, so the inner cowl can be placed close to the down tube stay without increasing the size of the down tube stay. Sufficient mounting strength can be ensured while avoiding this. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the size and weight of the head pipe stay and the down tube stay provided on the vehicle body frame side for supporting the front cowl while maintaining the supporting strength, and the appearance of the front cowl may be deteriorated. Can be prevented.
[0008]
According to a second aspect of the invention, in addition to the configuration of the first aspect of the invention, the headlight as the intermediate inclusion is provided with a protrusion extending rearward, and the protrusion is connected to the head pipe stay. The front portion of the outer cowl is fixed to the headlight that is inserted into the head pipe stay and is attached to the head pipe stay. According to such a configuration, the headlight is inserted by inserting the protrusion into the head pipe stay. The headlight can be positioned so as to prevent the headlight from swinging from side to side. Therefore, the number of locations where the headlight is attached to the head pipe stay can be reduced, and the assemblability can be improved.
