BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention evaluates characteristics of an optical lens that reads and writes information on an information storage medium such as a DVD (Digital Versatile Disk), or an optical lens that forms a light spot by imaging light in a laser processing machine, a laser microscope, or the like. The present invention relates to an optical lens aberration detection method and apparatus.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In order to read information from an optical disk type high-density information storage medium or to record information, an optical system that can accurately irradiate a target location with light emitted from a light source is required, especially for reading and recording. The optical system of this optical pickup is required to have high precision optical characteristics. Therefore, not only high accuracy optical characteristics are required for each component of the optical pickup itself, but also the mounting position and orientation of each component must be adjusted with high accuracy.
[0003]
As a conventional method for adjusting an objective lens and a collimator lens in an optical pickup, a method for adjusting the position and orientation of the lens by detecting the aberration of the outgoing condensed light beam by sharing interference measurement has been performed.
[0004]
Here, a conventional aberration detection method will be described with reference to FIG.

[0013]
As described above, in the conventional method, it is difficult to correctly detect aberrations in an optical pickup of a type that emits a plurality of beams, and as a result, it is difficult to perform optical adjustment of the optical pickup correctly. there were.
[0015]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A step of diffracting with a diffraction grating installed near the condensing position of the emitted light; a step of moving the diffraction grating in a direction perpendicular to the grating groove; and a plurality of beam generating elements in the optical pickup as a grating groove. A step of moving in a right angle direction, a step of making light emitted from the diffraction grating substantially parallel light, a step of receiving a sharing interference fringe formed by the light emitted from the diffraction grating, and the received interference fringe The step of extracting the aberration from the lens, it becomes possible to detect the aberration correctly and to perform the optical adjustment of the optical pickup correctly.
[0016]
A step of making the convergent light from the optical pickup substantially parallel light, a step of gripping and moving the three-beam generating element in the optical pickup in a direction perpendicular to the grating grooves of the three-beam generating element, Among the substantially parallel lights, the method includes a step of receiving an interference fringe formed by overlapping the central beam and the beams at both ends, and a step of extracting the aberration from the received interference fringe, thereby correctly detecting the aberration. Thus, the optical adjustment of the optical pickup can be performed correctly.
