BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a high-voltage porcelain insulator, and more particularly to a high-voltage porcelain insulator excellent in mechanical strength and dielectric breakdown strength, that is, steep wave strength.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a porcelain insulator such as a solid insulator or a suspension insulator is known as a structural member that performs electrical insulation and mechanical support of an overhead power transmission line or the like. These porcelain insulators are made by mixing and molding raw materials such as alumina and clay to produce a molded body, applying a glaze to the surface of the produced molded body, and then firing the molded body coated with the glaze. ing. In order for porcelain to obtain the dielectric breakdown strength inherent to the base material of the insulator, it is necessary to make it solid, but by using a glaze, it fills in the micro-defects on the surface of the base material and the coefficient of thermal expansion with the base material By generating internal stress due to the difference, the porcelain exhibits the tensile strength of the insulator.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
These conventionally known porcelain insulators can sufficiently withstand use under normal voltage or a fouling atmosphere. However, when a higher voltage is applied, that is, when a steep lightning impulse voltage due to a natural lightning discharge is applied, these conventionally known porcelains are not sufficient, and the dielectric strength is drastically improved. There was a need to do.
[0004]
In addition, as a technique for improving the steep wave intensity characteristics, the present applicant has added a technique for adding a predetermined amount of MnO or the like to glaze (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 63-2111525), and a technique for defining the dielectric constant of sand and glaze in a suspension (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-63379), a technique for incorporating a corundum crystal in a porcelain (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-228818), etc., all of which have a structure in which a porcelain insulator is coated with glaze on the surface of the main body. Therefore, although the steep wave intensity is improved to some extent, a drastic improvement in the steep wave intensity cannot be achieved.
[0005]
Here, the glaze increases the blending ratio of feldspar among feldspar, alumina, and clay, which are raw materials for porcelain insulators, so that only a glass phase is generated. Therefore, the glaze should essentially have a high breakdown strength equivalent to that of glass, but its strength is lower than that of porcelain due to the presence of pores. Since the dielectric constant of the pores (air) is smaller than that of the surrounding glass phase, it is considered that the electric field concentrates on the pores when a potential is applied. Moreover, since the dielectric constant of the glaze is lower than the dielectric constant of the porcelain insulator body, for example, the glaze has been a weak point when a steep wave pulse is applied. For this reason, it has been found that it is difficult to drastically improve the structure of a conventional porcelain insulator in which a glaze is applied to the surface of a porcelain insulator body.
[0006]
Further, regarding the structure of the porcelain insulator, the present applicant, in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-262854, applies a glaze to the surface of the porcelain insulator body and provides a coating layer having a higher dielectric breakdown strength than the glaze on the glaze. The technology is disclosed. However, even in this example, since the glaze with pores is used on the surface of the porcelain insulator body, the problem of the glaze cannot be solved.
[0007]
An object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems and to provide a high-voltage porcelain insulator having improved dielectric breakdown strength, that is, steep wave strength, without lowering mechanical strength.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The high-voltage porcelain insulator of the present invention includes a porcelain insulator body, a first coating layer mainly made of a porcelain material containing a high dielectric constant crystal provided on the surface of the porcelain insulator body, and a surface of the first coating layer. And a second coating layer made of a glaze provided in the above.
[0009]
In the present invention, by providing the first coating layer mainly made of porcelain material containing a high dielectric constant crystal on the surface of the porcelain insulator body, the porcelain insulator body can be given compressive stress equivalent to or higher than glaze. In addition, the amount of pores, which is a drawback of glazes, can be reduced, and a higher intrinsic strength can be achieved than in both mechanical and electrical aspects. The first coating layer preferably includes a high dielectric constant crystal having a relative dielectric constant of 10 or more, which is made of titanium oxide and / or titanate compound. As a result, the apparent relative dielectric constant of the first coating layer can be preferably 4 or more, the difference in dielectric constant between the first coating layer and the porcelain insulator body can be reduced, and the first coating layer has a steep wave pulse. Does not become a weak point when applied. Furthermore, by making the porosity of the first coating layer smaller than the porosity of the second coating layer, this is preferable because the first coating layer does not become a weak point when applying a steep wave pulse.

[0017]
Actually, the porcelain insulator of the present invention in which the first coating layer and the second coating layer are formed on the surface of the porcelain insulator body 1 is prepared, and a porcelain insulator having a changed dielectric constant of the first coating layer is prepared. The steep wave intensity was examined from the penetration rate (number of penetrations / number of samples) when 20 times of steep lightning impulse voltage (Vf = 375 kV) having a degree of 2500 kV / μs was applied. Here, the penetration rate of the actual insulator is very small, and in order to verify this experimentally, a test insulator with a short insulation distance and a penetration rate of about 10 times was used as the porcelain insulator of the present invention. . The results are shown in FIG. In addition, as a reference, a porcelain insulator manufactured by a conventional technique in which only a glaze layer is provided on the surface of the porcelain insulator body 1 is used, and the insulation distance is shortened and the penetration rate is about 10 times as in the above-described test insulator of the present invention. When a test insulator was prepared and the same test as the test insulator of the present invention described above was performed, the penetration rate was 30%. From the results shown in FIG. 3, those satisfying the penetration rate of 30% or less have a relative dielectric constant of the first coating layer of 4.0 or more, and the relative dielectric constant of the first coating layer is 4.0 or more. It was found that this is preferable in terms of dielectric breakdown strength.
[0018]
【The invention's effect】
As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the first coating layer mainly made of porcelain material containing a high dielectric constant crystal is provided on the surface of the porcelain insulator body. In addition to applying the above compressive stress to the porcelain insulator body, it is possible to reduce the amount of pores, which is a drawback of glazes, and to exhibit a higher intrinsic strength than mechanical and electrical surfaces.
