Description
次いで、14日以前に生まれた所から飼育場に輸送される。
仔ウシは、給与飼料の変化や給与量の増加、輸送や環境ストレスに対して順応性が乏しく、安定性が十分でない腸内菌そうは影響を受ける。
哺乳期の下痢は、発育の停滞が生じ、その後の発育に悪影響をおよぼす原因となる。
仔ウシの出生時の環境は、場所によって衛生的に差がある。
生後4〜7日で初乳から代用乳に飼料が変わる。
初乳の質、給与量には、個体差がある。
代用乳の品質、給与量には差がある。
移動(輸送)と環境の変化によるストレスを受ける。
飼育場により、環境条件が異なる。
飼育場により、衛生面で差がある。
飼育場により、飼育方法に差がある。
受動免疫の減少には、個体差がある。
仔ウシの移行抗体の半減期は、IgG16〜32日、IgM4日、IgA2.5日である(例えば、非特許文献1参照)。
IgGは全身及び腸管の免疫、IgMは3日齢までの初生仔ウシの敗血症の予防、IgAは粘膜表面の免疫(局所免疫)に役立つ。
出生後2週以降に、抗体を作り始める。能動免疫が生ずる。
能動免疫の生じ方には、個体差がある。
投与した生菌が腸内で定着することは、難しい。
ビフィズス菌以外の多くの細菌もオリゴ糖を利用できる。このことが、オリゴ糖の欠点となっている。

(2) 出生後から3週齢までの仔畜に使用するためのものであること、を特徴とする上記(1)に記載の飼料組成物。
(3) 仔畜が仔ウシであること、を特徴とする上記(2)に記載の飼料組成物。
(4) 飼料組成物が腸内菌そう改善作用を有するものであること、を特徴とする上記(1)〜(3)のいずれか1項に記載の飼料組成物。
(5) プロピオン酸菌がPropionibacterium freudenreichiiであること、を特徴とする上記(1)〜(4)のいずれか1項に記載の飼料組成物。
(6) プロピオン酸菌が、Propionibacterium freudenreichii ATCC 6207、同ATCC 8262、同IFO 12424、同IFO 12426、同IFO 12391、同ET−3(FERM BP−8115)株から選ばれる少なくともひとつであること、を特徴とする上記(5)記載の飼料組成物。
(10) 給与時期が、腸内菌そうが形成される時期、受動免疫が低下する時期、ストレスがかかる時期の少なくともひとつであり、通常、出生後から3週齢の仔畜に経口給与すること、を特徴とする上記(9)に記載の方法。
(11) Profecを使用した場合、Profecに賦形剤を添加して凍結乾燥して得たProfec含有組成物を、1日当たり0.05〜4g、好ましくは、0.1〜2g、給与すること、を特徴とする上記(9)又は(10)に記載の方法。
<試験スケジュール>
契約農家で出生したホルスタイン種雄子牛。
出生後1回目だけ、速やかに十分な初乳を給与。
その後、速やかに試験牧場へ移動。
初乳の差による影響をできるだけ排除するため、2回目の哺乳以降、生後3日齢まで初乳代替乳を給与。
生後4日齢以降、市販代用乳に切り替え、試験区と対照区各9頭ずつに分けた。
初乳代替乳および市販代用乳は、250gを1.8Lの温水(45℃)に溶かし、朝、夕の2回投与した。
試験区には、プロピオン酸菌による乳清発酵物(Profec)含有組成物を1回の哺乳あたり0.2g、1日あたり0.4gを混合して給与した。
試験期間は生後14日齢時までとした。

仔ウシをそれぞれ下記の試験区に分け、各試験期における腸内菌そうの変化を調査した。なお、試験時期は前記した試験時期(1)、(2)とした。調査対象菌は、次のとおり(A)〜(E)とし、糞便1g中の菌数を計測した。
得られた結果を下記にそれぞれ示すが、いずれも平均値を示す。

Claims (4)
- プロピオン酸菌、すなわち、Propionibacterium freudenreichiiによる乳清発酵物を含有する飼料組成物を、出生後14日齢時までの仔ウシに経口給与すること、を特徴とする仔ウシの腸内のビフィドバクテリウムを特異的に増加させることにより菌そうを改善してビフィズス菌そうを新たに形成、定着せしめる方法。
- プロピオン酸菌が、Propionibacterium freudenreichii ET−3(FERM BP−8115)株であること、を特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 給与時期が、腸内菌そうが形成される時期、又は、受動免疫が低下する時期、又は、ストレスがかかる時期であり、当該時期に仔ウシに経口給与すること、を特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- ストレスが仔ウシ導入時の輸送又は環境の変化によるものであること、を特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。
