Claims (4)
- 第1の基板と、第2の基板と、
上記第1の基板と第2の基板とに挟まれた液晶組成物と、
上記第1の基板に設けられた複数の画素電極と、
該画素電極に接続された画素容量と、
上記画素電極に接続された液晶容量と、
上記画素容量に画素電位制御信号を供給する画素電位制御信号線と、
上記画素電極に接続されたスイッチ素子と、
該スイッチ素子のオン・オフを制御する走査信号を供給する走査信号線と、
上記スイッチング素子を介して上記画素電極に映像信号を供給する映像信号線とを備え、
上記画素電位制御信号線と上記画素電極との間で画素容量を形成し、
上記液晶容量は上記画素電極を一方の電極とし、対向電極を他方の電極とする対向した2つの電極とを有し、
上記対向電極には第1の基準電圧が供給され、
上記画素電極には上記第1の基準電圧に対して第1の極性の映像信号が供給される液晶表示装置の駆動方法であって、
上記映像信号は第1の極性用の映像信号と第2の極性用の映像信号とからなり、
上記第2の極性用の映像信号は、
上記走査信号により上記スイッチング素子がオン状態となることで、
上記画素電極には上記映像信号線から第1の極性の映像信号が供給され、
上記走査信号により上記スイッチング素子がオフ状態となった、上記走査信号の開始よりも3水平走査期間後に、
上記画素電位制御信号が第1の電圧から第2の電圧に変化することで、
上記画素電極の電位が上記第1の極性とは逆極性の第2の極性の電位となることを特徴とする液晶表示装置の駆動方法。 - 上記第1の基板はシリコン基板であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 第1の基板と、第2の基板と、
上記第1の基板と第2の基板とに挟まれた液晶組成物と、
上記第1の基板に設けられた複数の画素電極と、
該画素電極に接続された画素容量と、
上記画素電極と第1の基板との間に設けられた第1の遮光膜と第2の遮光膜と、
上記画素電極に接続された液晶容量とを備え、
該液晶容量は上記画素電極を一方の電極とし、対向電極を他方の電極とする対向した2つの電極とを有し、
上記画素容量に画素電位制御信号を供給する画素電位制御信号線を前記第1の遮光膜で形成し、
上記画素電位制御信号線の一部を上記第2の遮光膜と重ね合うように形成して画素電極との間で画素容量を形成し、
上記画素電位制御信号を出力する出力回路と、該出力回路の上部に形成された上記遮光膜が接続された液晶表示装置の駆動方法であって、
上記対向電極には第1の基準電圧が供給され、
上記画素電極には上記第1の基準電圧に対して第1の極性の第2の極性用映像信号が供給され、
上記走査信号により上記スイッチング素子がオフ状態となった、上記走査信号の開始よりも3水平走査期間後に、
上記画素電位制御信号が第1の電圧から第2の電圧に変化することで、
上記画素電極の電位が上記第1の極性とは第1の基準電位に対して逆極性の第2の極性となることを特徴とする液晶表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1の基板はシリコン基板であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
