Description
Claims (11)
- ガスタービンエンジンの同心の内側回転軸と外側回転軸との間の半径方向の隙間をシールする方法であって、
前記隙間をシールするためにメインシールを用い、エンジンの通常運転状態の漏出要求を満たすステップと、
エンジン運転中に内側回転軸と外側回転軸との同心関係が悪影響を受けてメインシールの故障を引き起こした異常事態においてエンジン運転状態を確保するための所定の漏出要求を満たすバックアップシールを前記隙間の二重シールのために用いるステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - メインシールの漏出要求はバックアップシールの漏出要求よりも厳しいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- バックアップシールは内側回転軸と外側回転軸の相対的な半径方向の変位に対応するようにされたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 内側回転軸の外側面と外側回転軸の内側面の間の半径方向シールをメインシールとして用いるステップと、
内側回転軸の環状半径方向面と外側回転軸の環状半径方向面の間の軸方向シールをバックアップシールとして用いるステップと、
を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 同心の内側回転軸と外側回転軸との間にある半径方向の隙間をシールするためにガスタービンエンジンに用いられる軸方向かつ半径方向シール構造であって、
内側回転軸の外側面と外側回転軸の内側面との間に配され、ガスタービンエンジンの通常運転においてメインシールとして機能する半径方向シールと、
内側回転軸の環状半径方向面と外側回転軸の環状半径方向面との間に配され、半径方向シールが故障する異常状態のためのバックアップシールとして機能する軸方向シールと、
を含むことを特徴とする軸方向かつ半径方向シール構造。 - 軸方向シールは内側回転軸と外側回転軸との間の半径方向変位を許容し、相対的な半径方向変位により半径方向シールが故障したときに、シール機能を保つことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の軸方向かつ半径方向シール構造。
- 軸方向シールは、外側回転軸の環状半径方向端面と内側回転軸の外側面から半径方向外側に延在するフランジ上の環状半径方向面との間に配されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の軸方向かつ半径方向シール構造。
- フランジは内側回転軸と一体になっていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の軸方向かつ半径方向シール構造。
- 軸方向シールは、内側回転軸のフランジ上の環状半径方向面と外側回転軸の環状半径方向端面との間に所定の軸方向隙間を有し、該隙間から所定量の流体漏出を許容するものであり、この所定量の流体漏出は異常事態におけるエンジン運転条件に受け入れられるものであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の軸方向かつ半径方向シール構造。
- 半径方向シールはラビリンスシールからなることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の軸方向かつ半径方向シール構造。
- 半径方向シールは、外側回転軸の内側面に気密に接触する内側回転軸の外側面上のラビリンスシール面を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の軸方向かつ半径方向シール構造。
