本発明は主として家庭用又は業務用の廃棄物を減容、減量処理する生ゴミ処理機に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来の家庭などで発生する生ゴミ等の廃棄物の量を減量したり、減容したりする生ゴミ処理機では、図5に示すように、生ゴミ処理機本体40内に微生物の生息場所となるおがくず等の微生物担体41を入れた微生物処理槽42と、投入された生ゴミ43と微生物担体41とを混合、撹拌するための回転撹拌棒44及びその駆動装置45を有し、投入された生ゴミ43を微生物により最終的には二酸化炭素と水、その他に分解し、生ゴミ43を減量、減容するもので、微生物処理槽42内の温度を適正に保つための加熱手段46、酸素(空気)を供給するための送風装置47、それらの制御を行う制御手段(図示せず)を備え、微生物の働きにより生ゴミ等の廃棄物を分解し減量、減容するいわゆるバイオ式生ゴミ処理機といわれる装置が一般的に知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、前記従来の技術で述べたバイオ式生ゴミ処理機にあっては、湿潤な生ゴミの連続投入があったとき等に、微生物処理槽が水分過多となり、嫌気性細菌が優位になることにより、分解生成物が多量の臭気を発するという課題を有していた。

前記従来の課題を解決するために、本発明の生ゴミ処理機は、撹拌手段と外気と連通した給排気手段とを有すると共に担体を内装する微生物処理槽と、前記微生物処理槽に対して着脱または回動でき送風機を有する乾燥部と、前記微生物処理槽と前記乾燥部とを連通する開閉自在な仕切部と、前記仕切部を開閉する仕切部開閉装置と、前記仕切部を介して前記乾燥部と対向する前記微生物処理槽の面の外部への開放を検出する仕切面開放検出装置と、前記送風機と前記仕切部開閉装置と前記仕切面開放検出装置とを制御する制御装置とを備え、前記乾燥部前記微生物処理槽に対して着脱または回動し、前記仕切面開放検出装置が前記微生物処理槽の面の外部への開放を検出した時は、前記送風機および前記仕切部開閉装置を停止するものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
請求項に記載の発明は、撹拌手段と外気と連通した給排気手段とを有すると共に担体を内装する微生物処理槽と、前記微生物処理槽に対して着脱または回動でき送風機を有する乾燥部と、前記微生物処理槽と前記乾燥部とを連通する開閉自在な仕切部と、前記仕切部を開閉する仕切部開閉装置と、前記仕切部を介して前記乾燥部と対向する前記微生物処理槽の面の外部への開放を検出する仕切面開放検出装置と、前記送風機と前記仕切部開閉装置と前記仕切面開放検出装置とを制御する制御装置とを備え、前記乾燥部が前記微生物処理槽に対して着脱または回動し、前記仕切面開放検出装置が前記微生物処理槽の面の外部への開放を検出した時は、前記送風機および前記仕切部開閉装置を停止するものである。これにより、生ゴミ等の廃棄物を乾燥部で乾燥してから微生物処理槽に投入することが可能となり、微生物処理槽が水分過多にならず嫌気性細菌の発酵による臭気の発生を少なくできる。また、使用者が必要に応じて、乾燥部を微生物処理槽から着脱もしくは回動して動かし、微生物処理槽を開放してメンテナンス作業容易に行えるとともに、そのようなメンテナンス作業時には送風機や仕切部開閉装置が停止するよう制御され、安全に支障なくメンテナンス作業を実施でき、さらには送風機が稼動して生ゴミが飛び散る、仕切部の開閉動作によって仕切部が破損するなどの不具合も生じない使い勝手の良い生ゴミ処理機の実現が可能となる。

図1は、本発明の第1の実施例における生ゴミ処理機の断面図を示すものである。図1において1は生ゴミ処理機本体(以下、本体と称す)である。2は本体1の下部に配置された微生物処理槽である。微生物処理槽2内には制御装置3に接続された撹拌モータ4により回転駆動される撹拌翼5が回転し、微生物処理槽2内に内装されたごみ及びおがくず等の担体6を撹拌するものである。7は本体1の上部、微生物処理槽2の上方に位置する乾燥部にして、送風機8が送風可能に配置されている。9は乾燥部7の下端、底面を形成するシャッタ(仕切部)にして、開閉することにより、乾燥部7と微生物処理槽2を連通、遮断する。10は前記シャッタ9を開閉駆動する仕切部開閉装置である。
