(C) メタン含有ガス(原ガス)を−30℃程度まで冷却し、ジメチルシロキサンを固化させて分離する方法

(1) ガスを一旦冷却して水を凝縮して除去した後、再加熱する。
(2) 吸湿剤を用いて水分を吸着除去する。
(3) ガスを加熱する。
平均細孔径が相違する細孔を有する数種の活性炭に対して、ジメチルシロキサン含有ガスを供給して、平均細孔径とジメチルシロキサンの除去性能との関係を調べた。より詳細には、以下のような試験をした。
活性炭として、表1に示したNo.2と同様の活性炭(平均細孔径2.09nm)を用いた。原ガス(ジメチルシロキサン含有)として、温度40℃、相対湿度100 %の模擬ガスG2 を用いた。そして、この模擬ガスG2 を41〜50℃に加熱した後、実施例1の場合と同様の充填層2(ただし、活性炭は表1に示したNo.2と同様の活性炭)に同様の条件で供給し、同様の試験を行い、ジメチルシロキサン除去率が90%に低下する時間を調べた。また、上記模擬ガスG2 を加熱せずに(40℃の状態で)充填層2に供給し、同様の試験を行った。なお、上記模擬ガスG2 の加熱に際し、42〜50℃に加熱する場合は本発明に係る原ガスの加熱温度を充たすことになり、本発明の実施例に相当する。
Claims (5)
- ジメチルシロキサンを含有する原ガスの温度を測定し、この測定された温度から2℃以上高く、且つ、50℃以下の温度になるように前記原ガスを加熱した後、活性炭が充填された吸着部に導入して、前記原ガスからジメチルシロキサンを除去することを特徴とするガス精製方法。
- 前記活性炭として平均細孔径2.0 〜4.0nm の細孔を有する活性炭を用いる請求項1記載のガス精製方法。
- 前記活性炭の1.0nm 以下の細孔の容積が0.2ml/g 以下である請求項1または2記載のガス精製方法。
- 前記原ガスが、嫌気性発酵により有機系廃棄物から発生するメタン含有ガスである請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のガス精製方法。
- ジメチルシロキサンを含有する原ガスの温度を測定する検知部と、該検知部で測定された温度に基づいて前記原ガスを加熱する予熱部と、活性炭が充填された吸着部とを備え、前記予熱部で加熱された原ガスを前記吸着部に導入して該原ガスからジメチルシロキサンを除去することを特徴とするガス精製装置。
