Claims (14)
- 炭化水素燃料を水素、二酸化炭素、および一酸化炭素を含む高温の改質気体に変換するための燃料処理装置と、燃料処理装置の下流に配置され改質気体を主に水素と二酸化炭素を含有する気体流にさらに変換するためのシフト変成装置に改質気体を伝達する第1の導管手段と、シフト変成装置の下流にあり気体流の中の水素を反応させるための燃料電池に気体流を伝達する第2の導管手段と、水供給源と、改質気体および気体流の少なくとも一方をそれぞれ所望の温度に冷却するように制御された仕方で第1の導管手段および第2の導管手段の少なくとも一方に水を供給する水供給手段と、を備える燃料電池システムであって、前記水供給手段は、第1の導管手段および第2の導管手段の少なくとも一方への水の供給を制御する制御手段を含み、前記制御手段は、改質気体と気体流の温度をそれぞれ検出し、検出された温度に応じて第1の導管および第2の導管の少なくとも一方にそれぞれ水を供給することを特徴とする燃料電池システム。
- 前記改質気体に添加される水によって、シフト変成装置のための所望の酸素/炭素比が設定されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記燃料電池からの水を収集しかつ収集した水の少なくとも一部を水供給源として再循環させる手段をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記シフト変成装置と燃料電池の間であって水供給手段が水を第2の導管手段に供給する位置の下流に配置された少なくとも1つの選択的酸化器をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項2記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記制御手段は、検出された温度に応じて開閉する少なくとも1つの電磁弁をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記水供給手段は、水を霧状にする手段を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記第1の導管手段および第2の導管手段の少なくとも一方が、高表面積材料の充填物を含み、水が、この材料に供給されることを特徴とする請求項2記載の燃料電池システム。
- 前記高表面積材料は、セラミックペレット、スチールウール、網状セラミックフォーム、金属フォーム、およびハニカムモノリスから成る群より選択されることを特徴とする請求項7記載の燃料電池システム。
- 水が、第1の導管と第2の導管の両方に供給されることを特徴とする請求項2記載の燃料電池システム。
- 改質気体を生成するための燃料処理装置と、燃料処理装置の下流にあり第1の導管を介して改質気体を受け取りかつこの改質気体を主に水素と二酸化炭素を含有する気体流にさらに変換するためのシフト変成装置と、シフト変成装置の下流にあり第2の導管を介して気体流を受け取るための燃料電池と、を備える燃料電池システム内の温度を制御する方法であって、水供給源を備え、改質気体をシフト変成装置にかつ気体流を燃料電池に供給する前に改質気体と気体流を所望の温度に冷却するように制御された仕方で改質気体および気体流の少なくとも一方にそれぞれ水供給源から水を注入することを含み、改質気体および気体流の少なくとも一方にそれぞれ水供給源から水を注入することは、改質気体と気体流の温度をそれぞれ検出し、検出された温度に応じて第1の導管および第2の導管の少なくとも一方にそれぞれ水を供給することを含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 前記燃料電池から水を収集し、その少なくとも一部を水供給源に再循環させることを含むことを特徴とする請求項10記載の方法。
- 注入の際に水を霧状にすることを含むことを特徴とする請求項10記載の方法。
- 前記第1の導管および第2の導管の少なくとも一方に高表面積材料の充填物を備え、この充填物床の上に水を注入することを含むことを特徴とする請求項10記載の方法。
- 前記燃料処理装置内への過剰な水蒸気の注入を最小限に抑えて電力設備の効率を向上させる所望の酸素/炭素比を設定するように水の注入を制御することを含むことを特徴とする請求項10記載の方法。
