Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle seat structure provided with a headrest on an upper portion of a seat back that can protect a seated person's head from an impact such as a rear collision.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, when a so-called rear impact such as a collision at the time of reverse of the automobile or a rear-end collision to the rear of the automobile occurs, the seated person's head tends to tilt backward rapidly under the inertial force. Such a sharp backward tilting of the head is called a whiplash movement, and this whiplash movement may damage the neck of the seated person. Various possible configurations are provided in the seats of automobiles and the like.
[0003]
As such a seat that can suppress the whiplash movement, for example, a configuration having a so-called movable headrest that forcibly rotates or slides the headrest forward from a normal support position is known. Yes.
[0004]
As this type of seat structure having a movable headrest, for example, a configuration disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 09-315196 can be exemplified.
[0005]
In this known configuration, the headrest is provided so as to be capable of rotating back and forth or sliding back and forth with respect to the upper end of the stay. And this well-known structure, when a rear impact is input, the headrest is moved under the forward movement (rotation, slide) of the headrest accompanying the inertial movement of the inertial mass body (weight body) built in the headrest. The gap between the head and the head, that is, the backward tilting range of the head is instantly narrowed, and the protection of the seated person's head and neck is strengthened by suppressing the whiplash movement by the increased support ability. It is something to try.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the known configuration disclosed in the aforementioned Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 09-315196, the headrest is provided so as to be able to rotate with respect to the upper end of the stay or to be able to slide relative thereto.
[0007]
However, since the upper end of the stay is located inside the headrest, in this former case, the rotation fulcrum is located inside the headrest. Thus, when the pivot point of the headrest is located inside the headrest, the radius of rotation of the headrest tends to be small, and the rear support impact is generated although there is no particular influence at the normal support position located at the rear. When the headrest pivots forward from its normal support position, that is, tilts forward, the cushion surface of the headrest that presupposes contact with the seated person's head is largely tilted downward under the forward tilt. It will be.
[0008]
In such a headrest posture in which the cushion surface is greatly inclined downward, the head of the seated person naturally comes into contact with the upper end of the headrest. Even if it tilts (rotates) to the position, it is inevitable that the support capability by the headrest slightly decreases.
[0009]
For example, if the shape of the headrest is a shape that can be adapted to the forward leaning posture, it is possible to sufficiently prevent such a decrease in support capability when a rear collision occurs. However, since the headrest shape tends to be uncomfortable, it is inevitable that the appearance quality of the seat is deteriorated. Further, since there is no denying the possibility of adversely affecting the support capability at the normal support position, it is difficult to say that such a headrest shape change is effective in every sense.
[0010]
On the other hand, if the headrest is slid forward as in the latter case, the cushion surface does not tilt as in the forward tilt, so that the support capability can be maintained sufficiently high. However, in this known configuration, since the headrest is slid with respect to the upper end of the stay located inside the headrest, the slide mechanism is naturally incorporated in the headrest.
[0011]
That is, in the latter configuration in which the headrest is slid forward, the mechanism portion or the like inside the headrest is likely to be increased in size, and the headrest itself may be increased in size or the cushion surface may be reduced in width. This cannot be denied.
[0012]
Further, in this known configuration, an inertial mass body (weight body) that detects an impact such as a rear collision is incorporated in the headrest when the headrest rotates forward or slides forward. In other words, in this known configuration, the weight of the headrest itself is unavoidable, and it is necessary to increase the rigidity of the stay that supports the headrest and the holding force of the stay against the seat back. In many cases, the configuration may be complicated.
[0013]
An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle seat structure that can enhance the protection of the head and neck of a seated person during a rear-end collision without complicating the configuration or increasing the weight of the headrest. .
[0014]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
to this end, thisAccording to the invention shown in claim 1,It has a stay that extends downward and can be adjusted up and down at the top of the seat back. The headrest is disposed in the seat back so as to be able to pivot back and forth between a normal support position located behind and an emergency support position defined in front of the normal support position and serving as an emergency support position. The headrest is held at its normal support position by engagement of the engagement means with the inertial load resulting from the rear impact impact as a reference of the engagement force. .
[0015]
And the weight body with a predetermined weight is below it with the pivot point in betweenAnd behind the stayIn position, integrally with the headrestBackwardWhen an inertial load that is pivotally arranged and connected and exceeds the engagement force of the engagement means is generated on the weight body under a rear impact, the inertial movement of the weight body with the forced release of the engagement means Originally, the headrest is rotated forward in the direction of the emergency support position in front of the normal support position, and when the headrest reaches the emergency support position, the headrest is locked under the lock means that can automatically lock. Forcibly held in the emergency support positionis doing.
[0016]
Furthermore, the unlocking means can be interlocked with the locking means and can be operated from the outside of the seat back, and the emergency support is provided by the unlocking operation to the locking means by the unlocking means at the emergency support position of the headrest. The vehicle seat structure is configured so that the headrest can be arbitrarily returned from the position to the normal support position.
[0017]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, a hinge shaft extending in the left-right direction of the seat is rotatably connected to and supported by the upper end of the seat back frame forming the skeleton of the seat back via a pair of left and right hinge brackets. The turning fulcrum according to claim 1 is embodied. And the weight body is below the hinge shaftAnd behind the stayIntegrated with the headrest in positionBackwardBy integrally connecting and fixing to the hinge shaft via a hanging shaft so as to be able to rotate, the integral rotation of the weight body with the headrest is ensured.
[0018]
Furthermore, in claim 3 of the present invention, the substantially fan-shaped lock plate having the circular arc circumferential surface as a guide surface is fixedly disposed at one end of the hinge shaft so as to be capable of integral rotation with the hinge shaft, A lock claw is movably disposed on the hinge bracket so as to be slidable on the guide surface of the lock plate under the biasing force of the lock spring. Then, it can become an engagement means under the combination with the lock claw, and can become a lock means under the combination with the engagement of the lock claw, an engagement recess as a notch-like recess that can be engaged, and the lock claw. , Lock recesses of the same configuration are formed at spaced positions of the lock plate, and the lock plate rotation is restricted when the lock claw is selectively engaged and engaged with each recess by the biasing force of the lock spring. Thus, the headrest can be held at the corresponding positions of the initial support position and the emergency support position.
[0019]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, the unlocking means can be operated from outside the seat back so that the push button exposed at the upper end of the seat back under the support of the hinge bracket and the lock claw The hinge bracket is pivotally mounted on the outer surface side of the inner surface of the hinge bracket and is connected to the lock claw by an interlocking pin that passes through a long guide hole formed in the hinge bracket. A support plate and a connecting rod for connecting the support plate and the push button so as to be interlocked are formed.
[0020]
Furthermore, according to claim 5 of the present invention, the stay holder to which the stay can be inserted is integrally supported on the hinge shaft, and the stay holder can be attached to and detached from the stay, so that the headrest with respect to the seat back is provided. Desorption is possible.

[0072]
The above-described embodiments are for explaining the present invention, and do not limit the present invention. All modifications, alterations, and the like within the technical scope of the present invention are included in the present invention. It goes without saying that it is done.
[0073]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the vehicle seat structure according to the present invention, the gap behind the head is filled by the forward rotation of the headrest to the emergency support position, so that the whiplash caused by the sudden backward tilt of the head Exercise is reliably suppressed. Therefore, the damage to the seated person is further reduced by sufficiently improving the protective effect of the head and neck at the time of rear collision.
[0074]
And since the rotation fulcrum of a headrest is arrange | positioned in a seat back, the rotation radius of a headrest can be ensured long enough. In other words, even if the headrest is moved to the emergency support position under its forward rotation, it is possible to reliably suppress a large forward tilt of the cushion surface of the headrest, thereby ensuring emergency support with sufficient cushioning properties. Therefore, the cushioning property at the headrest at the emergency support position can be secured sufficiently high according to this, and the safety is further improved.
[0075]
Furthermore, since the cushion surface of the headrest at the normal support position can be the head contact position at the emergency support position, the head at the time of rear impact impact without changing the shape of the headrest to the corresponding shape. Support is possible properly.
[0076]
Therefore, it is possible to reliably enhance the protection effect on the head without deteriorating the appearance quality of the headrest and thus the seat itself.
[0077]
Further, since the weight body is disposed inside the seat back, the weight and size of the headrest can be reliably prevented. In other words, the safety of the headrest can be ensured even higher, and the necessity of strengthening the rigidity of the stay and strengthening the holding force of the stay against the seat back is eliminated. I can be taken.
[0078]
Further, according to the present invention, the headrest is moved from the normal support position to the emergency support position by rotating the headrest back and forth, so that the headrest can be quickly and easily moved from the normal support position to the emergency support position. . Further, since the headrest is rotated back and forth by the center of rotation disposed inside the seat back, there is no need to dispose a mechanism or the like for the rotation inside the headrest.
[0079]
In other words, a configuration that can be moved to and maintained at the emergency support position without adding any effort to the headrest is obtained, so that the headrest is enlarged or the cushion surface is narrowed due to the presence of a mechanism, etc. The adverse effects on the headrest can be surely eliminated. Therefore, also from this point, the safety can be further enhanced.
[0080]
Further, since the unlocking means is provided, it is easy to arbitrarily return the headrest to the normal support position by the unlocking operation at the emergency support position of the headrest. Accordingly, the sitting posture after the occurrence of the rear impact can be easily ensured without being obstructed by the headrest, so that the use performance is also improved.
[0081]
If the combination of the lock claw, the engagement recess provided in the lock plate, and the lock recess is the engagement means and the lock means, respectively, the engagement means and the lock means can be shared and shared. Thus, the number of parts can be reduced, and the configuration can be simplified easily.
[0082]
Further, if the lock release means is a combination of a push button, a support plate, and a connecting rod, the lock means can be appropriately unlocked without complicating the overall configuration.
[0083]
Furthermore, if the headrest stay can be attached to and detached from the stay holder, the height of the headrest can be adjusted, as well as the advantages of being able to attach and remove the headrest, for example, the seat cover can be replaced, It can be easily secured. Therefore, even a seat provided with a headrest that can be moved to the emergency support position can be handled in the same manner as a normal seat, and therefore, the improvement of its versatility can be sufficiently expected according to the present invention. it can.
