Description

【0001】
酸化チタンの市販のものとしては、タイトーンSR−1、同R−650、同R−3L、同A−110、同A−150、同R−5N、同R−7E(以上、堺化学工業(株)社製)、タイペークR−580、同R−550、同R−780、同R−780−2,同R−930、同A−100、同A−220、同CR−58(以上、石原産業(株)社製)、クロノスKR−310、同KR−380、同KR−480、同KA−10、同KA−20、同KA−30(以上、チタン工業(株)社製)、タイピュアーR−900、同R−931、同R−960、同R−960VHG(以上、デュポン・ジャパン・リミテッド社製)、チタニックスJR−300、同JR−600A、同JR−603、同JR−701、同JR−800、同JR−801、同JR−805(以上、テイカ(株)社製)などが挙げられる。
【0009】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an ink composition for water-based ballpoint pens containing titanium oxide as a pigment component.FilledThe present invention relates to a water-based ballpoint pen, and more particularly, to a highly concealing type water-based ballpoint pen that can be clearly written directly on a photograph or dark paper.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, there has been a high demand for multi-colored ink compositions for water-based ballpoint pens. In particular, white ink is used because it is possible to write directly on a photo, and the handwriting can be visually recognized even when writing directly on dark paper. There has been a demand for so-called opaque inks such as pastel colors.
Conventionally, in order to satisfy this requirement, inks using titanium oxide, which is a concealed white pigment as a pigment component, have been disclosed in JP-A-6-287499, JP-A-7-216283, JP-A-7-150083, JP-A-8-231916, JP-A-8-12916, JP-A-8-113752, JP-A-8-143807, JP-A-8-325503, JP-A-9-156281, JP-A-1 -174576 and the like.
[0003]
On the other hand, since titanium oxide has a high specific gravity and has a property that titanium oxide tends to settle when the ink is allowed to stand, for the purpose of improving the sedimentation stability of the titanium oxide, JP-A-9-221617 and JP-A-8-48930. An ink using a white plastic pigment such as No. 1 is proposed.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Conventionally, an ink composition using titanium oxide as a colorant having a concealing property has been proposed. Even when writing directly on dark paper or a photograph, it is necessary to add titanium oxide at a high concentration in order to obtain a clear handwriting. However, when such an ink composition is used as a writing instrument, particularly a ballpoint pen, ink clogging tends to occur at the tip due to drying of the tip when left with the writing tip open, resulting in poor writing, so-called cap-off properties. I had a problem.
[0005]
In addition, a kind of ink composition that uses plastic pigments and has improved sedimentation stability is improved in sedimentation stability compared with titanium oxide in plastic pigments in ink, but has poor concealment properties such as dark paper. It was not possible to obtain sufficient handwriting visibility above. For this reason, the subject has arisen in making the concealability of handwriting and the tip dry prevention performance in cap-off compatible. The object of the present invention is to solve this problem.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the present inventionBoiling point 200 ° C or higherIt has been found that extremely good results can be obtained when the relationship between the water-soluble organic solvent and the pigment component is set to a constant ratio by weight, and the present invention has been completed.
  That is, the present invention
"1. A water-based ballpoint pen ink comprising a pigment, a water-soluble organic solvent having a boiling point of 200 ° C. or higher, and water, containing at least titanium oxide as a pigment component, and having a weight ratio of the water-soluble organic solvent having a boiling point of 200 ° C. or higher and the pigment component. 1: 1 . 6 to 1: 4 . A water-based ballpoint pen characterized in that the ink containing tube is filled with an ink composition for a water-based ballpoint pen characterized by being in the range of 0, and the clearance between the ball of the ballpoint pen tip and the ball seat is in the range of 40 μm to 60 μm .
2. The water-based ballpoint pen according to item 1, wherein the water-soluble organic solvent having a boiling point of 200 ° C or higher is glycerin.
3. Item 3. The aqueous ballpoint pen according to item 1 or 2, wherein white hollow particles and / or colored fluorescent particles are further blended as a pigment component.
4). The water-based ballpoint pen according to any one of Items 1 to 3, wherein a pigment is blended in an amount of 25% by weight or more in the ink composition.
5. The water-based ballpoint pen according to any one of Items 1 to 4, wherein a pseudoplasticity imparting agent is blended in the ink composition.Is.
[0007]
The water-based ballpoint pen ink composition of the present invention comprises at least a pigment component containing titanium oxide.Boiling point 200 ° C or higherContains water-soluble organic solvent and water,Boiling point 200 ° C or higherBy setting the water-soluble organic solvent and the pigment content to a specific weight ratio, it is possible to obtain a ballpoint pen that does not cause ink clogging due to dry tip while maintaining sufficient handwriting visibility on dark paper etc. is there.
[0008]
Hereinafter, the ink composition for water-based ballpoint pens and the water-based ballpoint pen of the present invention will be described in detail.
The pigment used in the present invention is preferably a concealing colorant, and it is essential to incorporate various types of titanium oxide such as rutile type and anatase type. Examples of commercially available titanium oxide include Tytone SR-1, R-650, R-3L, A-110, A-150, R-5N, R-7E (above, Sakai Chemical Industry ( Co., Ltd.), Type R-580, R-550, R-780, R-780-2, R-930, A-100, A-220, CR-58 (above, Ishihara Sangyo Co., Ltd.), Kronos KR-310, KR-380, KR-480, KA-10, KA-20, KA-30 (above, manufactured by Titanium Industry Co., Ltd.), Taipure R-900, R-931, R-960, R-960VHG (made by DuPont Japan Limited), Titanic JR-300, JR-600A, JR-603, JR -701, JR-800, JR-801, J -805 (or more, Tayca Co., Ltd.), and the like.
[0009]
Also, LIOFAST WHITE H201, EM WHITE H, EMWHITE FX9048 (above, manufactured by Toyo Ink Co., Ltd.), Pollux White PC-CR (manufactured by Sumitomo Color Co., Ltd.), FUJISP WHITE 11, 1011, 1036, It is preferable to use a commercially available titanium oxide aqueous dispersion such as 1051 (manufactured by Fuji Dye Co., Ltd.) because the dispersion step in production can be omitted and ink can be easily formed.
[0010]
In addition, as the pigment of the present invention, inorganic pigments such as carbon black and red pepper, organic pigments such as phthalocyanine pigments, various insoluble azo pigments and lake pigments can be used in combination with titanium oxide. A desired pastel color can be obtained by appropriately blending these pigments and using them together with titanium oxide.
[0011]
Furthermore, so-called plastic pigments such as white hollow fine particles and colored fluorescent fine particles can be suitably used. Commercially available products include MH5055, MH5055A (manufactured by Nippon Zeon Co., Ltd.), SX863 (A), and SX864 (B). AE865 (above, manufactured by Nippon Synthetic Rubber Co., Ltd.), Loipek OP-62, OP-84J, OP-91, HP1055 (above, manufactured by Rohm and Haas Japan Co., Ltd.) , Lumicol NKW2101 (red orange tone, the same applies hereinafter), 2102 (green), 2103 (red), 2104 (orange), 2105 (yellow), 2106 (yellow orange), 2107 (celise pink), 2117 (pink), 2127 (rose), 2137 (ruby) ), 2167 (violet), 2108 (blue) or more, manufactured by Nippon Fluorescence Corporation), SW-11 (red orange), SW-12 (green), SW-13 (red), SW-14 (Orange), SW-15 (lemon yellow), SW-16 (orange yellow), SW-17 (pink), SW-27 (rose), SW-37 (rubin), SW-47 (violet), SW- Examples thereof include fluorescent fine particle dispersions such as 18 (blue) (manufactured by Sinloihi Co., Ltd.).
[0012]
In order to provide sufficient handwriting concealment in the present invention, it is preferable that the pigment content to which titanium oxide is added is added to the ink in a weight ratio of 25% or more, more preferably 27 to 40%.
[0013]
The water-soluble organic solvent used in the present invention is added for the purpose of suppressing moisture evaporation at the tip of the ballpoint pen tip,In the present invention, those having a boiling point of 200 ° C. or higher such as glycerin, polyethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, and triethylene glycol are preferably used. Organic solvents such as glycols and glycol ethers that are generally used for water-based ballpoint pens can be used. Propylene glycol, ethylene glycol, butyl cellosolve, diethyl carbitol, propylene glycol monomethyl ether and the like having a boiling point less than 200 ° C Is not preferable because of its high vapor pressure and evaporation with moisture.Urea and its derivatives are not sufficiently moisturized by themselves, but can be used as a moisturizing agent that is non-volatile and suppresses evaporation of water when used in combination with the water-soluble organic solvent.
[0014]
Whether a good result is obtained when the water-soluble organic solvent and the pigment content are in a specific ratio is not necessarily theoretically clear, but is estimated as follows. In order to maximize the concealability of titanium oxide, rutile type titanium oxide and a pigment particle size of about 0.2 to 0.3 μm are preferable. If the pigment particle size is larger than this, the pigment surface area as a whole will decrease and sufficient coloring power will not be produced, and if the pigment particle size is smaller than this, light scattering will not be sufficient, resulting in a decrease in concealment. it is conceivable that.
[0015]
By the way, in the ink which mix | blended the water-soluble organic solvent, it is thought that a certain amount of solvent remains in the ink after writing between the pigments on paper. In particular, in the case of an organic solvent having a boiling point of 200 ° C. or higher, the vapor pressure is generally low, so when writing at room temperature with an ink using these, it hardly dries on the paper after writing. Therefore, when the weight ratio of the water-soluble organic solvent to the pigment containing titanium oxide is less than 1: 1.6, the water-soluble organic solvent is present between the pigment in the ink after writing on the paper. Therefore, a so-called optical gap is generated, and the concealability is lowered, which is not preferable.
[0016]
On the contrary, it is preferable to reduce the amount of the water-soluble organic solvent because the gap between the ink pigments on the paper after writing is reduced and the concealability is improved. However,Boiling point 200 ° C or higherThe weight ratio of the water-soluble organic solvent to the pigment containing titanium oxide is 1:4.0If it exceeds 1, the hiding property tends to be inadequate, but the moisture retention tends to be insufficient, and when the writing tip is left open, the pigment content dries and solidifies as the water vapor evaporates at the tip of the ballpoint pen tip. This is not preferable because it may cause poor writing.
[0017]
A preferable result can be obtained when the weight ratio of the water-soluble organic solvent and the pigment content is more preferably between 1: 2.5 and 1: 4.0.
[0018]
In addition, when the water-soluble organic solvent is an organic solvent having a boiling point of less than 200 ° C., the vapor pressure at normal temperature is generally high, and thus it evaporates with moisture evaporation. This is not preferable because writing defects due to drying and solidification of the material deteriorate.
[0019]
The ink composition for water-based ballpoint pens of the present invention can be used as a so-called water-based ballpoint pen ink that does not use batting or a pen core by adding a pseudoplasticity imparting agent. As the pseudoplasticity imparting agent, a pseudoplasticity imparting agent such as an inorganic type, a natural polymer type, a synthetic polymer type, a polymeric polysaccharide type, etc. can be used, but in terms of handwriting and stability over time, xanthan gum, welan gum, ramzan gum, Biogum produced by a microbial fermentation method such as gellan gum and succinoglycan is particularly preferred.
[0020]
In the ink composition for water-based ballpoint pens of the present invention, various additives used for water-based ballpoint pen inks can be used as needed in addition to the above components. For example, in order to prevent wear of the ball seat, lubricants such as polyoxyethylene phosphates, fatty acid salts, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene glycol, and various antibacterial agents, preservatives, and ink coatings are fixed on the paper surface. Therefore, binder components such as various water-soluble resins and aqueous emulsions, pH adjusting agents such as various amines, and components such as rust preventives can be used.
[0021]
As for the ball-point pen tip used for the water-based ball-point pen in which the ink containing tube is filled with the ink composition for the water-based ball-point pen of the present invention, the clearance between the ball and the ball seat is preferably in the range of 40 μm to 60 μm. If the clearance is less than 40 μm, the ink discharge amount is not sufficient and good handwriting cannot be obtained. In particular, when writing on dark paper, it is not preferable because the concealability of the handwriting is insufficient and a clear handwriting cannot be obtained. On the contrary, if this clearance exceeds 60 μm, the clearance between the ball and the ball receiving seat becomes too large, and the movement distance of the ball tends to increase and the area of the tip end opening tends to increase. At the time of writing, the opening between the ball and the chip holder is widened, moisture evaporation at the tip end of the chip is further promoted, the tip tends to dry, and this leads to poor writing, which is not preferable.
[0022]
With respect to the clearance between the ball and the ball seat in the ballpoint pen tip of the water-based ballpoint pen of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, the needle from the back of the ballpoint tip 1 with the tip of the ballpoint tip 1 in contact with the digital indicator 2 is used. 3 is inserted, and the needle 3 pushes the ball 4 and moves the shaft 5 of the digital indicator 2 to measure.
In the figure, 6 is a jig, 7 is a needle guide, and 8 is a guide for a digital indicator shaft.
