Description
ここで、1(a)+I(d)及びI(b)+I(c)はそれぞれ対角線方向に位置する2つのセンサa、d及びb、cの光量の合計を示す。フォーカスサーボ信号Fは、破線で示すように、制御部28に伝達されて対物レンズ20のフォーカシングを制御する。

T = {I(a)+I(c)}−{I(b)+I(d)}
結果として、偏光ビームスプリッタ16、非点収差レンズ22及び第1検出器26は光学的信号検出部を形成し、伝達経路から反射光を分離することにより、反射光から光学的記録媒体に記録された光学的信号を検出し、光学的記録媒体に対するトラッキングサーボを行うとともにデジタル記録媒体に対するフォーカスサーボを行う。

Claims (4)
- ホログラフィック記録媒体及び光学的記録媒体を含むデジタル記録媒体のピックアップ装置であって、
それぞれ互いに異なる波長を有し、それぞれP直線偏光、S直線偏光である第1ビームと第2ビームを生成するための第1レーザ及び第2レーザと、
前記第2ビームをS直線偏光からS円偏光に変換するための変換手段と、
前記S円偏光に変換した第2ビームを前記ホログラフィック記録媒体に入射させて、第2ビームが前記ホログラフィック記録媒体内にある干渉縞によって回折されることによりホログラフィック信号を含む再生信号光を生成するための入射手段と、
前記第1ビームの伝達経路上に配置され、前記第1波長を有する光は通過させて、前記第2波長を有する光は反射させる分離手段と、
前記伝達経路上に配置され、P直線偏光の光は通過させて、S直線偏光の光は反射させるためのスプリッタ手段と、
前記伝達経路上で前記スプリッタ手段に対向して配置され、前記第1ビームをP直線偏光からP円偏光に変化させるチェンジ手段と、
前記伝達経路上で前記チェンジ手段に対向して配置され、前記第1ビームをデジタル記録媒体上の反射層に収斂させて反射信号を含む反射光を生成し、前記伝達経路に入射された前記反射光及び前記再生信号光が伝達される信号検出手段を含み、
前記反射光及び前記再生光は前記チェンジ手段を通過することで、それぞれP円偏光、S円偏光から、それぞれS直線偏光、P直線偏光に変換し、前記S直線偏光に変換した光は前記スプリッタ手段により再度更に反射され前記反射光から前記反射信号が検出され、前記再生信号光は前記分離手段により反射され前記再生信号光から前記ホログラフィック信号を検出することを特徴とするデジタル記録媒体のピックアップ装置。 - 前記伝達経路が、前記デジタル記録媒体に対して垂直であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデジタル記録媒体ピックアップ装置。
- 前記ホログラフィック記録媒体が、
前記第1ビームを反射させて前記反射光を生成するような反射層と、
前記第2ビームを回折させて前記再生光を生成するホログラフィック干渉縞を記録し、前記第1ビーム及び前記反射光を透過させるようなホログラフィック記録層とを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデジタル記録媒体ピックアップ装置。 - 前記ホログラフィック干渉縞が、参照光と信号光の干渉により生成され、
前記第2ビームが、前記参照光の位相共役光であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデジタル記録媒体ピックアップ装置。
